After accident, Dallas neighborhood rallies around Haute Sweets Patisserie and its injured workers
An SUV crashed into the Lake Highlands shop right as the holiday season was picking up.

The Nov. 17 incident sent all three to the hospital during the gourmet shop’s busiest season.
But the outpouring of community support that followed has been “overwhelming,” says Pichakron, who operates the business with her husband, Jason Reed.
Neighboring restaurants in Lake Highlands pitched in to clean up. A friend drew the bakery’s logo across the temporary plywood storefront, and people started signing it a testament that the couple ultimately moved to their home a couple of blocks away. ....
