View Comments After two years running the day-to-day operations of the Hamilton County Democrats as executive director, Eddie Davenport will step down at the end of May, party officials confirmed. Hamilton County Democratic Chair Gwen McFarlin described the parting as amicable. Davenport, when he took the post in 2019, committed to working through the 2020 election. The resignation isn t a surprise, she said. I knew I would be blessed to have Eddie for two years to get us through the presidential election, McFarlin said. Davenport confirmed via text his last day will be May 28. He said he provided notice in March. Davenport said he s leaving for a position at LEAD Ohio, a nonprofit that trains progressives to run for office. Davenport said he s drawn to expanding our judicial success to other areas of Ohio. ....
