The Infinithéâtre team is now back to sharing provocative and inspiring stories… LIVE … and Zach Fraser, in his first season as Infinithéâtre’s Artistic Director, is announcing the company’s 24th year of producing relevant theatre that explores and reflects the issues, challenges and possibilities of contemporary Québec.
On offer is an eclectic mix of styles and voices that all in some way touch the theme, ‘Breaking Down Barriers’. The jam-packed 21/22 season of original work includes three premiere productions by some of Montréal’s most vibrant and bold creators, along with two exciting playwriting competitions, one vital play reading series, the first annual Artist-in-Residence, a new all-encompassing development program, and expanded outreach to schools and seniors.

Drew Hayden Taylor is looking to expand your understanding of Indigenous culture.
With his new documentary series Going Native – which is now airing Saturdays at 8:30 pm on APTN, and streaming on the network’s APTN lumi platform – the Anishinaabe author, journalist and former NOW writer illuminates the ways in which Indigenous people are shaping and reclaiming their culture.

EUP students receive Principals' Award


EUP students receive Principals' Award
The winners of the 2021 Eastern Upper Peninsula Principals’ Awards have been announced.
In order to be eligible for this award, students need to have a 3.3 grade point average or higher, a 24 on the ACT or a 1180 on the SAT and be a graduate of an Eastern Upper Peninsula high school. These students are recognized at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island.
In previous years, students needed to achieve an SAT score of 1200 in addition to the other requirements in order to receive this award.
Local students include those from Brimley, Cedarville, Ojibwe Charter School, Rudyard, Pickford, St. Ignace, Engadine, Newberry, Whitefish, Mackinac Island and the Sault.

Can You Hear Me Now? is a memoir by entrepreneur and former politician Celina Caesar-Chavannes. Caesar-Chavannes was the first Black MP to represent the riding of Whitby, Ont. But her political career wasn't easy, and she was known for speaking out about social and racial injustices within political institutions and in her community. She eventually decided to leave the party she ran for, the Liberals. 
Can You Hear Me Now? tells Caesar-Chavannes' story, from her early childhood through her business and political careers to today, where she is a sought-after consultant, alongside offering leadership advice.
