Leicester are closing in on a deal to sign Celtic and former Paris Saint-Germain forward Odsonne Edouard, according to a report.
The
Daily Mail reports that the Foxes believe they have won the race for the prolific striker.
Edouard, who moved to Celtic under now-Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers’ stewardship, has scored 20 goals this season.
Indeed, the past relationship between Rodgers and
the striker has proved crucial, the newspaper adds.
Having seen the player up close, the manager believes that Edouard can be
Vardy, 34, has a contract which expires in 2023. At the contrasting age of 23, though, Edouard presents a definitive look towards the future for the Midlands club.
