Talk about trade, but will they get along . And what to do with the people closest to you have different political views. We will give you advice to salvage the strained relationships. The United Kingdom is one step closer this evening to knowing who will be its next Prime Minister. In the latest round of the conservative leadership ballot, the partys mps reduce the number of candidates to just two, Boris Johnson reduce the number of candidates to just two, borisjohnson and jeremy hunt. The pair will now face each other in their bid to win the support of 160,000 tory members. Lets have a look at their votes. Hundred and 60 conservative mps voted for borisjohnson, 77 for jeremy hunt and 75 per michael gove, meaning the environment secretary was eliminated from the race. Jeremy hunt knows where that puts him. He tweeted, im the underdog but in politics surprises happen. Lets speak our chief political correspondent. 0urjeremy hunt and borisjohnson offering correspondent. 0urjeremy hunt and Boris Johnson offering different visions . They would say they are, but from what we know about the detail, it is not that clear because borisjohnson has not done an awful lot in public. When it comes to brexit, borisjohnson was very much the leader of that campaign and jeremy hunt was on the remain side of the argument but since then has been clear that he feels that brexit has to be delivered, and delivered soon. But Boris Johnson has to be delivered, and delivered soon. But borisjohnson has talked about living with or without a deal by the 31st of october although he slightly rowed back on that and said he wants a deal. Jeremy hunt has said he would delay to bit if they we re said he would delay to bit if they were close to getting a new deal. But most people are looking at this and saying, whoever leaves the party will be boxed in because a parliament. You might change the Prime Minister but you will not change the number of mps on the make up of here. Parliament has made it clear it will not accept no deal. They are close on that kind of thing. It is more personality, the approach. Jeremy hunts team has talked about how he has led departments, how he is trusted to do that. The danger is they end up arguing a lot over the next few weeks, damaging even further the unity of the tory party. Would jeremy hunt honestly think he has a chance on this . He will say that he does and he will say he is the underdog and surprises do happening. But every other conservative leadership contest, the front router has not run. I remember when David Cameron was challenging david davis, nobody thought David Cameron had a chance. They went into that race and it all turned around. I do think this is different because for the tory party the enemy has changed. What has changed the fortunes of borisjohnson who here a year ago no mp was saying he had a chance of ever becoming leader but of course nigel farage has been resurrected, his brexit party is challenging the tory party, so those tory mps who we re tory party, so those tory mps who were reticent about supporting Boris Johnson premiership are now thinking, we are up against it, we need someone who can take back those votes from nigel farage, and most of them feel, as we saw from the result, that borisjohnson is the person to do that. That does not mean they dont have reservations, a lot of them do, a lot of them are concerned about the next few weeks when he is under huge scrutiny. But from now on, he will have to do over a dozen hustings which will be televised. He will face difficult questions from tory Party Members. Is this all about brexit, or is there room for anything else to be discussed . So far there has not been room for anything else for the last three years. It will be difficult to move off that, but because there are so many hustings, i am sure conservative Party Members will have other things they want to talk about and press those two about. So they may well get onto more talk about domestic policies, social care was a massive problem for theresa may during the election, we have already had jeremy hunt saying the funding for social care has been cut too much, so they will probe about other things because they do hope that there will be a moment when they can get beyond brexit. It doesnt look likely at the moment, but that is a possibility. Jeremy hunt particularly will want to talk about something other than brexit because he is sure to be painted as a remainer, because that is how Boris Johnsons team think they can beat him. A busy evening for you and a busy few weeks for you coming up. We will talk to some of the conservative party voices a bit later on, the people who would choose between these two, but it is worth reflecting on the following. The discussion so far during all of these hustings has been effectively that all the people going for the job would countenance a no deal brexit. In an hours time in london, you have the annual Mansion House speech given by the chancellor of the exchequer, Philip Hammond, who will make precisely the case that he has been making for months now, that no deal would be a disasterfor britain, but possibly he may say the only way to get through this would be for a second referendum. I want to, as we listen to the chancellor tonight, whether his will be the last senior government voice for some time saying that because whichever cabinet comes to light from this conservative Leadership Election Campaign will look a lot more brexit than the current one does. All about brexit. President trump says iran has made a very big mistake in shooting down an unmanned us surveillance drone over the straits of iran. It is the latest there is concern that a miscalculation could lead to military conflict. Islams military revolution guard said the aircraft had violated airspace but the us military insisted thatjoan had been over us waters over the time. The us said it was sending an extra 1000 troops to the region in response to what it called hostile behaviour by iranian forces. This is what President Trump is had to say. This drone was in international waters. We have it all documented scientifically, notjust words. Ron made a very bad mistake. I have a feeling it was a mistake made by somebody that should not have been doing. Ithink somebody that should not have been doing. I think they made a mistake. Iam notjust doing. I think they made a mistake. I am notjust talking about the country making a mistake, i think somebody under the command of that country may have made a mistake. Our state department correspondences at the white house and joins us now. Barbara, what are you hearing about the likelihood of us retaliation, and what are the options . Well, they have been a lot of secret meetings this morning, senior members of both Political Parties were briefed on the hill and will come to the white house shortly to get another classified briefing which mr trump will attend. Beyond that, we have not heard anything specific, mr trump himself was evasive, he was asked about a military strike, he said, you will see what happens. He said lets see what happens about negotiations, this will all work out. We are waiting to find out what that means. The pentagon has sent a lot of military hardware to the gulf, saying that this is a detriment, it was there to respond to attacks on us interests and targets. There a try and qualify . Mr trump said it would have made a big difference if it was manned. Those are the kinds of things they were discussing. There seems to be a lot of mixed messages, as you just mentioned. Donald trump said nothing to worry about last night. Is he still seeming to say there is nothing to worry about, or have things really changed at this point . His message is still quite temporary. You heard in that clip. He said he did not believe it had been intentional, this strike, and it was not even a contrary decision but some individual who did something loose and stupid. So he downplayed it quite a lot, called another fly in the ointment. This is different from the ointment. This is different from the rhetoric of his military commanders, he said it was unprovoked, dangerous, an attack against a drawing that was in international airspace. Against a drawing that was in internationalairspace. He against a drawing that was in international airspace. He is sending a template message and at the same time we know that Administration Officials are very hawkish on this, they are pressing a policy of maximum pressure, squeezing the economy as much as they can, trying to get the iranians to negotiate a deal that is tougher than the one that limits its nuclear programme, so between those two, allies of the United States and iran are confused about what exactly the policy is. Barbara, i wanted therefore whether it is possible to determine whether the hawks, and he is surrounded practically by hawks in the white house, whether they will win out on this one . It is the president who makes the decision, and he did say again today that he had campaigned not going to war, in fa ct had campaigned not going to war, in fact leaving americas existing war. He also said. He pushed back against this idea that his advisers we re against this idea that his advisers were pushing him into conflict. He said thats not the case, it is the reverse. I think that this resista nce reverse. I think that this resistance he has two ball is something people are hoping will win out. He has trouble. Mike pompeo has brought that up. Equally he talks about military options if the iranians make mistakes or do bad things, make bad decisions. It feels quite open ended. Things, make bad decisions. It feels quite openended. Saudi arabia is viewing the rising tensions very serious and holds iran responsible. 0ur chief International Correspondent has been speaking to the Saudi Foreign minister. We cannot allow iran to launch missiles at saudi arabia, we cannot allow iran to threaten the freedom of navigation in one of the most critical water passages in the gulf region. So what will you do . We are consulting with our friends and allies to see what steps can be taken and we are trying to send a message to the iranians that this behaviour is not acceptable and must stop. Are you sending messages through diplomatic channels . We do not want war. We do not want escalation. We call on iran to stop its aggressive behaviour, to stop threatening freedom of navigation, to stop providing Ballistic Missiles to stop providing Ballistic Missiles to terrorist groups who use them to attack cities and airports, the United States has done the same thing. So what is the next step . To de escalate by sending messages through diplomatic channels, or to respond militarily suggested by your comment, we will push back . believe it is very easy for iran to stop its aggressive behaviour, it just has to stop. Nobody is threatening iran. Joining us now is the director of the future of the rann initiative at the atlantic council. It was only on monday that you and i were discussing the danger of miscalculation. How much more dangerous is the situation today . Day by day, it gets worse. Fortu nately, day by day, it gets worse. Fortunately, no one has been killed by these attacks. Be they on tankers or trends. But this is a 130 million piece of hardware that has been shot down and according to the us over international waters. So it is serious. Basically, it is up to the president of the United States to decide what his red line is, is this a red line . To someone have to be killed . This a red line . To someone have to be killed . Clearly this a red line . To someone have to be killed . Clearly he does not want to get involved in a major war with iran but he started this when he withdrew from the nuclear deal and declared economic war on iran. By forbidding it to export oil. What did he think he was doing when he started that . Does iran think it is doing also . What is their gamble here . Are theyjust testing the United Statess limits or trying to provoke a reaction . They are testing limits, but they are also fighting back against this economic war, against the United States for withdrawing from the nuclear deal which they negotiated with the previous administration. For a year, they sat patiently, look to europe to find some way to compensate for the economic losses, yet has gone by, they have not seen that compensation, so their patients has basically run out. They are telling the United States and the International Community that there will be consequences. We heard from the Saudi Foreign minister a bit earlier there. I wonder how much of a danger there is that this becomes a danger there is that this becomes a regional problem . It obviously is a regional problem . It obviously is a regional problem . It obviously is a regional problem, but you know what i am saying, if the saudis bring upa what i am saying, if the saudis bring up a coalition, would it move militarily . I dont think so. This isaus militarily . I dont think so. This is a us decision. The saudis might participate in some sort of attack on iran, even the israelis if it came to it, but the us is the one that has most of the firepower in that has most of the firepower in that part of the world that has traditionally protected those waterways since britain left the area. It is up to President Trump, does he want to escalate or does he wa nt to does he want to escalate or does he want to open a back channel and perhaps try to negotiate a way out of this mess, which he created . Therefore the question does go back to what were talking earlier, his administration. He seems to be at war with his own administration. You hear hawkish voices, then the president sometimes agreeing or disagreeing with them. He does not understand what he has started here. It is winsome because the iranians may continue to test and at some point they may cross a red line. So, how can this be de escalated at this point . If the iranians will not talk to the us, who can mediate . They might, but signals will have to be sent that there will be incentives. All we have seen so far is so called maximum pressure, maximum pressure isa maximum pressure, maximum pressure is a maximum failure. If the us wa nts is a maximum failure. If the us wants iran to come back to the table, it will have to signal that it will only stop imposing new sanctions and perhaps move backwards a little bit on some of the sanctions it has already imposed otherwise i think it is unrealistic to expect that iran will stop at this point. Thank you very much indeed forjoining us. Theresa may used her proxy vote today in the contest to choose her successor. While the votes were being put in, she was on the way to brussels for a summit of eu leaders. Why she needs to be there we are not quite sure, brexit is not being discussed in any meaningful sense, and for obvious reasons the uk is not really taking pa rt reasons the uk is not really taking part in any eu decision making. This is all before the summit started. The dutch Prime Minister took time to sit down with our europe editor to sit down with our europe editor to discuss the Brexit Process and where it might go now. When the new Prime Minister comes in and would ask for an extension, we have to learn what his plan will be in terms of new elections, a new eu referendum, making changes to the red lines the uk is currently holding. If nothing is happening, if it will mean after the 31st of october, again, can we make changes . No we cant, because you have to change the red lines, then there is no point in having an extension. So you would be prepared to have a no deal brexit on the 31st of october . No i hate it. I hate brexit from every angle, i hate a no deal brexit from every angle. I have to work on the assumption that brexit will take place and we have to avoid a hard brexit. So we have to work towards a negotiated brexit and i hope it is possible by the 31st of october. And, again, with brexit, be it hard or not, the impact on the United Kingdom economy, the society, everything, is huge. Catcher joins us from catcherjoins us from brussels now. I cant work this out. You have got mark rutte saying, we will try and work things out, we dont want to know deal brexit but the same time we will not change anything from the Withdrawal Agreement. For him, we will not change anything from the withdrawalagreement. For him, it is perfectly clear, what the eu says is it is not as if they impose thinks of the United Kingdom, it is the United Kingdom that voted to leave the eu, it is the United Kingdoms government on the theresa may who put down the so called red lines which means wanting to leave the Eus Customs Union and Single Market, and not just Eus Customs Union and Single Market, and notjust exit the blog, so quite a distant relationship. As a result of that, you have the irish border problem because the new land border problem because the new land border between the eu Single Market and post brexit uk will run down the island of ireland. If any other member state were to say, we are leaving the eu, for example denmark, and we want to leave the Customs Union, then you just have a Customs Border between denmark and the rest of the eu, but that does not work in ireland because of the peace process. The good friday agreement does not want to see any infrastructure replaced between Northern Ireland and the republic of ireland, and that has brought us to that famous backstop, so this idea that famous backstop, so this idea that either Northern Ireland remains in the Customs Union and closely aligned to the Single Market in order to avoid the hard border, or at the uks request, the whole of the uk would stay in that backstop if necessary until a new trade agreement was reached after brexit between the eu and the uk. A long explanation there, but to explain from the Prime Minister of the netherlandss point of view, because of those circumstances, after two yea rs of of those circumstances, after two years of negotiation, the Withdrawal Agreement that was signed off by theresa may in november is the best compromise deal possible. The eu says, no more changes are possible. If you will keep to the eus and uks red lines. The only thing that will move this if the uk changes its mind and decides to have a closer relationship with the eu. If that can happen, says mark rutte, then the eus lines will also change. But with the eu want its own leadership battle, and we dont know how that will work out, under new leadership, couldnt there be an opportunity for some kind of change of direction on brexit and some kind of renegotiation . There are always opportunities for things, you can never say never in politics. You cant rule anything out. But it is unlikely because for example what kind of newjobs are we looking at . The one that would count for brexit is the president of the commission, but what is the commission to . When it comes to negotiating brexit, it serves the eu member states, so leaders like mark rutte and the Prime Minister of ireland today who said there is enormous hostility amongst eu countries to the idea of extending the brexit period even further, so the period before brexit actually happens, no possibility to that. The eu is running out of patience. Those who want to become the uks Prime Minister say that the public in the uk is also running out of patience, so there is time pressure from both sides does come to some kind of conclusion by the 3ist to some kind of conclusion by the 31st of october when the extension ru ns 31st of october when the extension runs out both sides say they want to avoid a no deal, but at this particular moment, a no deal looks like a very likely scenario. Thank you very much indeed forjoining us. Lets cover look at some of the days other news. The duke and duchess of sussex are to formally split from theirjoint charity with the duke and duchess of cambridge and set up their own foundation. Harry and meghan are to break away from the Royal Foundation. William and kate will remain with the original charity, which was created in 2009 as a vehicle for the princes to carry out charitable work. February 2018. Making a difference together, said the slogan, as the cambridges and soon to be sussexes appeared at the Royal Foundation forum. William explained what they wanted to achieve together. Hold on to the values that have always guided our family, but seek to engage in public life in a way that was updated and relevant for our generation. They were asked whether it would be tricky working together. You know, we are stuck together for the rest of our lives, so. Laughter. This is true togetherness at its finest. Togetherness, yeah. But, less than 18 months later, that togetherness seems, well, a little less wholehearted. There have been suggestions of a growing distance between the cambridges and the sussexes in recent months, and today came the news that the sussexes are leaving the Royal Foundation to set up their own charitable venture. According to kensington palace, these changes are designed to best complement the work and responsibilities of their royal highnesses as they prepare for their future roles. So, what are we to make of that . Two brothers, who weve always known would have different roles, both now with wives, both now with families, keen to pursue their charitable ambitions in their different ways. Was it meghan and harry who pushed for the split . Absolutely not, we are told. They will still Work Together on certain issues, Like Mental Health and conservation, but from now on william and catherine will do things their way and harry and meghan will be free to do the same. The mayor of london has announced plans to implement londons because car free day to date to raise awareness about the capitals air pollution problems. Nearly 30 miles of roads will be closed for the event which will be on the 22nd of september, and it is to promote walking and cycling around the city as well as creating place treats the children. The move comes as concerns mount about the impact of the uks toxic airand mount about the impact of the uks toxic air and the impact on people who live in the city. But i do wonder, what impact of these car free day actually have . I think they are brilliant. I lived in brussels, and they had won there, it was the first one i experienced, everybody was out on the street, this was the effect. Look at that red line, where it starts to dip suddenly is when ca rs are it starts to dip suddenly is when cars are no longer allowed in brussels on that day. When it increases massively on the other day thats when cars are allowed back m, thats when cars are allowed back in, that tells you about how much black carbon that is in the atmosphere, so these toxic particles we now know are so bad for us. It cleaned up the air in the city on that day and everybody had a good time. Who knows . May be london will follow in his footsteps. This is beyond 100 days. Coming up the views on bbc news, the keys to number 10 downing st in the hands of 160,000 members of the conservative party who will now vote on whether to give them to Boris Johnson who will now vote on whether to give them to borisjohnson orjeremy hunt. We will hear from some of them about how they plan to vote. And we will speak to the ten Year Old Girl who has become the youngest person record to climb the rock face in yosemite. As we head on into next week, theres a chance that things could turn very warm for some of us but that could spark of heavy and thundery showers. That is a long way off. In the short term, things are looking showery thanks to low pressure to the north of the uk, sending plenty of showers into northern and Western Areas early this morning but elsewhere, a dry trend particularly across the south east. Today will be one of sunshine and showers. Most of these showers will be across scotland and Northern Ireland where they could be heavy and thundery, blustery with gusts of 30 35 mph. A few showers spreading from west to east but also really good spells of sunshine. Across the south east where you will notice a cooler fresh feel to things, 19 or 20 celsius. High pressure builds for the south on friday but we still have low pressure towards the north of the uk so it means for much of scotland a breezy day with showers again on the heavy side. But the further south, the better chance of staying dry. There could still be the odd shower around. A strong mid june sunshine, it will feel warmer. High pressure really ta kes it will feel warmer. High pressure really takes hold as we head on into the weekend. For the start of the weekend, low pressure tries to muscle in from the south west is that week and wears on, but for many of us on saturday, light winds coming in from the south, plenty of dry weather with sunshine, fair cloud bubbling up into the afternoon. But the temperatures respond away from eastern coasts because that south easterly breeze, it will feel much warmer, below 20 celsius in places. High pressure bringing afine celsius in places. High pressure bringing a fine day, warm south easterly winds picking up as this area of low pressure continues to push up towards the south west which could bring more cloud, outbreaks of rain to Western Areas later on sunday. But it could ten fairly warm on sunday, a chance of it turning very warm, perhaps thundery, around the middle part of the week, particularly for england and wales, so stay tuned to the forecast. This is beyond 100 beyond 100 james beyond 100 days. Our top stories. Conservative mps have decided theirfinal two, stories. Conservative mps have decided their final two, foreign secretaryjeremy decided their final two, foreign secretary jeremy hunt and decided their final two, foreign secretaryjeremy hunt and his predecessor in thejob secretaryjeremy hunt and his predecessor in the job borisjohnson will compete for it job predecessor in the job borisjohnson will compete for itjob to be the countries next Prime Minister. Iran shoots down a us military drown, President Trump calls it a very big mistake but he doesnt even open the possibility that it was simply a foolish error. Coming up in the next half hour, donald trump and Justin Trudeau meet in washington, the plan is trade talks but will they get along . And if youre scared of heights, take a deep breath, we meet the ten Year Old Girl whos just become the youngest person to scale the yosemite mammoth el capitan. The parliamentary stage in the process that will determine the next leader of the conservative party has come to a close. Mps have labelled the number of contenders down to two. One, borisjohnson and jeremy hunt will be the uks next by minister. Its now up to the conservative partys minister. Its now up to the conservative pa rtys members minister. Its now up to the conservative partys members to decide between the pair of in the next month, there are about 160,000 of them, mostly there are over 55 yea rs old of them, mostly there are over 55 years old and predominantly white, wealthy than most militaries and they have been speaking to Party Members in the village near loughborough. As the leadership race schemes i had come attention turning toa schemes i had come attention turning to a dilatory members who will make the final call. For some todays first results. Was no great surprise. Its a good choice. Its a balanced choice. None of us werent in surprise and direct went, and then of were surprised when savage i made ranks. As thoughts turn to the final to rejoin the local tories for a trip on the town rarely surrounded by members of the past they considered whos right for the countries future. Ijust considered whos right for the countries future. I just want somebody that is going to unify the party and ideally part in it. Sarah had been supportive ofjeremy hunt. I originally was a remainder but i do respect the result of the referendum so now i would like brexit resolved and they do think hunt has a Clear Strategy for that and then Going Forward i would like someone and then Going Forward i would like someone who is capable of being Prime Minister. Brexit is of course on most mines, trevor date whats michael gove in the final two. Brexit is moving and nothing else is so thats got to be resolved because we have got to take all these issues and we cant get back to, weve got to get back to governing the country. What of the firm front runner . I think boris is definitely at man to lead us. A lot of people seem at man to lead us. A lot of people seem to think he is clueless. I think he is far from clueless. He is the man to bring us forward to get their together. Theyve got the full support of a lot of mps and thats what their needs. I do accept that boris in many ways is very attractive but i do not want to become obsessed with the brexit party or the far left labour party, i want those people in the middle to feel that at the end of the day, compromise is possible and there is a way through. Cell is Boris Johnson a way through. Cell is Boris Johnson a shoe in for thejob now . A way through. Cell is Boris Johnson a shoe in for the job now . a way through. Cell is Boris Johnson a shoe in for the job now . I dont think anyone can be a shoe in for thatjob but theres think anyone can be a shoe in for that job but theres a sense think anyone can be a shoe in for thatjob but theres a sense of inevitability. If i was a betting person i would say my bet would be onjohnson. Thats not necessarily where my votes will necessarily go. Lets have many members, he is popular and be able to make the final decision. We will see who is campaign stays on track. Lets speak now to a couple more conservative Party Members. Both of them with a boatin Party Members. Both of them with a boat in the leadership contest. She is appointing Boris Johnson boat in the leadership contest. She is appointing borisjohnson like many others. We suspectjohnny was appointing michael gove but he is now undecided in a london newsroom. I wonder if i could start with you, what is the factor that will most the timing will you give your vote to . First, i was supporting michael gove, im very disappointed he did not make the final two, i am now in a position where im getting in the onion undecided between Boris Johnson and jeremy hunt, what im looking for is the person who little sets out a plan of how they are going to achieve brexit and their preferred brexit outcome and how they would reach out to voters who werent necessarily traditionally conservative and particularly those who may be feeling a little bit of animosity towards us at the moment. Can your man, borisjohnson actually unite the party . Because he is pretty divisive. Can you hear me . Yes i can, sorry. Can Boris Johnson actually unite to the party . Yes, absolutely. First about what id like to say is the conservative party has done a greatjob, the party is presenting us with some very, very high caliber leadership candidates now, of visiting the whole race has come down to boris andjeremy and whole race has come down to boris andjeremyandi whole race has come down to boris and jeremy and i definitely feel boris is the man who is going to ta ke boris is the man who is going to take us to the finish line because hes going to bring all of us together and that is the important thing at this point in time. wonder, borisjohnson thing at this point in time. wonder, Boris Johnson is thing at this point in time. wonder, borisjohnson is not quite being clear on whether he will definitely take britain out of the European Union if he became leader on october the 31st which is the date set at the moment. Does that date set at the moment. Does that date mattered to you . , and he is a man with a plan as they say. He is a plan as they say. He is very certain that we have to have a very timely, orderly brexit. I dont think at any point in time he is guaranteeing that october is going to be that time andl that october is going to be that time and i dont think that is going to be legally viable or possible but he is the man who is going to take us he is the man who is going to take us out in a orderly and timely fashion and that is why weve all got to unite behind this man and make sure that he needs the country and he needs the party. Johnny, is the october deadline important to you . I think it is not vital to the october deadline important to you . I think it is not vitalto me if im honest. I think we need to be the European Union and we need to do it as quickly as possible but i think setting this up for be by the 315t of october is not really necessary. I think michael gove by making jeremy hunt set as well, if its the 29th, 30th of october we are very close to a deal, theres been some movement, we will notjust give it allup been some movement, we will notjust give it all up for the sake of a couple of weeks. I think what i would say is there needs to have been some serious progress towards a deal thats acceptable to both parties by the 315t of october and if that progress has not been made we need to be prepared to leave with no deal. Can i ask both of you which of the tilly do you believe can keep the conservatives in power . So like isaid. It the conservatives in power . So like i said. It is going to be boris, i have been a former deputy chair of the Condominium Association and beckinsale, i have often had lunches in the last few weeks of the glass with people around here and they have unanimously said that boris is the guide that they would root for and thats the one they should have asa and thats the one they should have as a leader. Same to you johnny. I think for me, they both can be Jeremy Corbyn, they are both effective politicians, they have got a lot behind them. You look at boriss record as the mayor of london, made some positive impact on our capital city and get up at jeremy hunt, the time he spent as secretary getting through some controversial things like he got them through. They both could be Jeremy Corbyn but what im looking for is which one of them has the clear plan to deliver brexit because in orderto bejeremy clear plan to deliver brexit because in order to be Jeremy Corbyn, we need to deliver brexit before the next general election and i want to see the mechanics of how each of them propose to do that. see the mechanics of how each of them propose to do that. I am looking beyond that. I am looking beyond just brexit and so are the other people that i know in beckinsale and other parts of the country that have moved around, they are looking beyond brexit now, obviously everyone is looking for an orderly brexit but what else can the candidate or that leader and boris will be able to offer a slightly more than jeremy i will be able to offer a slightly more thanjeremy i guess and who will win as the election like you said, keep ourJeremy Corbyn out of numberten. Said, keep ourJeremy Corbyn out of number ten. Just to come back on that, i agree we need to look beyond brexit but the simple fact of the matter is, we cant beyond brexit until we deliver brexit, until brexit happens its always going to be the key factor in our politics and if we dont deliver brexit effectively, Jeremy Corbyn let out a very good chance to become the Prime Ministerand very good chance to become the Prime Minister and that something that terrifies me im lot of people in this country. Thats exactly what borisjohnson is this country. Thats exactly what Boris Johnson is offering. What im looking for is his plan, what i have not heard from him and to be fair i have not heard from jeremy hunt its how they are actually going to deliver brexit and thats what im looking for in the coming weeks. I listen to what they will say and they vote is very much up for grabs. Thank you very much indeed for joining us. Now as he had mentioned, canadas pennetta Justin Trudeau is here in washington today meeting with President Trump and congressional leaders. The new north american trade pact bay Senate Approved this week at the top of the agenda. Mr trudell said canada is ready to follow suit but the pact faces uncertainty in the us congress where some senior democrats are raising objections. Donald trump insists its a good dealfor everyone. Its a partnership between three countries and three countries and a great sense that they European Union, it gives us bigger dialogue, its really good for all three. union, it gives us bigger dialogue, its really good for all three. I am doing now by the puppet professor of International Affairs at the university of ottawa and former Foreign Policy adviser to Justin Trudeau. Thank you forjoining us. How confidence is canada that this pack will be passed by congress . Because its significant that mr trudeau will be meeting congressional leaders today. Mr trudeau is as we speak meeting with nancy pelosi, the speaker of the house of representatives and im sure he sharing with her his view that the pact as it currently stands, as it has been negotiated is a very good one and that canada supports the ratification, the democrats have been negotiating with the white house and they are continuing to negotiate with the white house and canada certainly helps those negotiations will come toa helps those negotiations will come to a conclusion quickly so we can get this near the unmodified. Can canada actually trust the us and more specifically donald trump as a trading partner bearing in mind what happened in mexico just a week or so ago when tariffs were threatened over immigration policy . We all know that trump is an unpredictable active, todays meeting seems to be going well but president ial tweets themselves are unpredictable. But, all other things being equal its better to have a concluded trade agreement them not to have a concluded trade agreement and it would have confidence to our Business Community and businesses in north america who have cross border operations. It in canada plus plus interest to see this trade agreement ratified by all three countries and lam sure ratified by all three countries and i am sure the Prime Minister is sharing that with congressional leaders and this is something that trump and trudeau now have in common and its one of the reasons why they seem and its one of the reasons why they seem to be getting along much better than they did a year ago for example. But there is an issue that this is causing tension between canada and america and that is why the canadians got drawn into the american jamie spats over trade the canadians got drawn into the americanjamie spats over trade when they arrested on american instructions, american requests, i wonder what she dealt might be trying to get from trump on that . Trudell. I am sure that trudell is asking trump to personally press this issue with president gee of china, this is a major issue in this country. China has by all appearances arbitrary arrested two canadians citizens in retaliation for the detention on a us extradition request, i am sure that mr trudeau will be impressing on President Trump that canada is paying the price for fulfilling the terms of the extradition dealing with the United States and there are some positive signs mr trump when he met publicly with janelle at the beginning of their meeting and i was asked by media out whether he would speak up for the two canadians who have been detained and he said that he would do so if the Prime Minister asked him to. I can guarantee you that when they ran into their private meeting, the Prime Minister would have asked them to. private meeting, the Prime Minister would have asked them to. I am fascinated to know obviously the americans are concerned about then being used by the Chinese State to spam people around the world and the British Government is taking a different line and the canadian government is taking her line scented to london and i wonder whether thats ultimately going to create tension between canada and the United States than it should . M may eventually. Right now canada is in the midst of other National Security review of relation to the sg security review of relation to the 5g network just as security review of relation to the 5g networkjust as britain has been andi 5g networkjust as britain has been and i think the Prime Minister is likely saying to minister trump that this review is continuing, we are all this review is continuing, we are a ll clear this review is continuing, we are all clear on what the us position is and for the moment i think that the issueis and for the moment i think that the issue is probably parts in the discussions between canada and the us until the outcome of the canadian review is clear but it will certainly be an issue on this very few outcomes of that review that wont cause problems when way or another with the americans and the chinese or both. Thank you very much for joining chinese or both. Thank you very much forjoining us. This is beyond 100 days. Still to come, love you, hate your politics, how you stop a casual discussion from turning into world war iii. You will get tips from an expert. Britains First Hydrogen chain has been unveiled Hydrogen Train and the train maker the long term aim is to re m ove the train maker the long term aim is to remove diesel trains from the network. If the trial is successful it could be operating in two years. It is the first of its kind, a british train powered by hydrogen. This is about as green as a train gets. He hydrogen is stored in those ta nks gets. He hydrogen is stored in those tanks at High Pressure. It is then piped through this piping here into the fuel cell where its mixed with oxygen from the air to create electricity. That in turn, you can see all the wiring here can drive the motor is underneath the train and can be stored in this giant factory back here. What we are trying to do is make a transport system that is a little animation and the only thing from here is pure water. The train will be used to test the technology. And the hope is that the hydrogen chains will be carrying passengers in two years time. The next challenge is to get this train ready to go out on the mainline network. So it is going to a run on your regular training i am out passing for stations and they will do that and test the train in a normal working environment so we have got to get equipment fitted underneath the train waking to a good standard so that these trains will be ready to go out for public use in two or three years time. Making rail travel cleaner in britain and is a priority and it would only be possible with Hydrogen Trains like this one. Theres thousands of miles of randomly and for the 75 mile an hour if you would eliminate the batteries arent going to hold onto this. Republican or democrat conservative or labour . Leave or remain . Trump or anybody like trump . Politics are a lwa ys anybody like trump . Politics are always divisive, always controversial and can tear friends, family and relationships apart. But before we cancel our thanksgiving dinners and data on both summer vacations to avoid the impending war of words, is there a better way to tell your loved ones i love you but i hate your politics . Shes a psychotherapist, and a new book help us through this minefield, great to see you and thank you forjoining us. Ill give it to you straight. Ill give it to you straight. Im brexit, and my family, people about the different place and it is now the different place and it is now the subject that we deliberately avoid when we all come together. Should be avoided . You are brilliant. You are brilliant. Absolutely. This is a kind of counterintuitive idea which is that if you cant talk about something dont talk about it. I thought the whole point of therapy and getting things out was to get it off your chest why dont we just get it out there . Not with the people you love. No. Get it off your chest with the people who agree with you because you cant change their minds. And you cant change their minds. And you will make misery. I interviewed 50 people, intelligent, thoughtful couples who love each other, all different kinds of couples and they we re different kinds of couples and they were about to get the voice, half of them because they were fighting about politics, you cant do it. You can find about politics, you cant do it. You canfind a about politics, you cant do it. You can find a way to talk about it if you can find a way to talk about it if youre very good at it but my feeling is if you have to realise the politics has its place and its not in your bedroom and its not at the dinner table. If you really disagree. I quite Like Fighting with my relatives and my friends about politics. So go right ahead. Here is something interesting, i interviewed two guys, they were older guys, one was a liberal, one was a conservative and they fought, and he went out for drinks every week and they had a fight but it was orchestrated e mail, then youre not to raise their voices committing youre not to yell, the new not to offend each other, they could do it, if you can do that too family by all means that you are a very tiny minority. What makes this situation worse . Because political disagreement has been around, its as cold cold as the hills, what impact has social media had on this . A terrible one. Absolutely terrible. The media, people are trying to be like people they see on television, its cassidy. They unfriend their pa rents, its cassidy. They unfriend their parents, their great grandpa rents, their children, i had people whose fathers unfriended them on facebook and you know once you unfriend its ha rd to and you know once you unfriend its hard to refrained so also people are uninhibited on social media. They area uninhibited on social media. They are a little bit more controlled hopefully in person but in social media you let it all out. So my advice if youre having problems with that dont read what the people that week disagree with you say on social media. Have you got any personal experience . Is your family 7 personal experience . Is your family split . Oneill, only 42 years of research, this book came directly out of my experience. I am married toa out of my experience. I am married to a political conservative who was a professional writer a political conservative writer, hes a Senior Editor and we met 43 years ago, been married for 39 years i think one of the reasons our marriage works is we met ina the reasons our marriage works is we met in a singing group, we sang renaissance music together, we did not meet in any article contents but still it took us years to really figure out that we could not talk about which was mostly abortion but we disagreed underneath everything else. Thank you so much. Iam sure everything else. Thank you so much. I am sure you want, you have been terrific today. Thank you very much indeed. It will leave that debate for another time. Ijust left a crime and the whole experience, ijust really like being away from the world for a few days andi away from the world for a few days and i think thats something claiming really offers. How long we re claiming really offers. How long were you up there . Five days. The ever get frightened . Were you up there . Five days. The ever get frightened . The only thing i was ever frightened about was if there was a certain reason we had to go down, there were times i was tired and i did not necessarily want to go down but i wanted to stop but i was never to go down but i wanted to stop but i was never scared to go down but i wanted to stop but i was never scared of falling or anything like that. Why did you want to stop . Because i was tired. You are only ten, what did you dad say to you to keep you going . Did you have to train for this or do anything special to get yourself fixed . Yes. First of all, i did a lot of mental training basically where ijust got mentally ready make what does this mean, iam mentally ready make what does this mean, i am i actually ready to do this . I learned how tojump so i can get up the rope and i learned how to learn all the skills and i also i just claimed a lot to help with my strength and the endurance required.
