CA DWC Posts Additional Adjustments to OMFS for Pathology and Clinical Laboratory

San Francisco, CA (WorkersCompensation.com) - The Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC) has posted an order adjusting the Pathology and Clinical Laboratory section of the Official Medical Fee Schedule (OMFS) to conform to relevant 2021 changes in the Medicare payment system as required by Labor Code section 5307.1.
The order is the third Administrative Director order for the January 2021 annual update to the Pathology and Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services issued a revised 2021 Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule file dated January 25, 2021. The revised file supersedes the previous file. In addition, the order adopts continued use of the prices of specified COVID-19 related testing codes that do not have national prices but are priced by the California Medicare Administrative Contractor.
