JBS, the world’s largest meat processor received a cyber attack on Monday and according to a government minister may not be able to resume production for days. JBS officials said Sunday they were the victims of an organized cybersecurity attack effecting some of its servers in North American and Australian IT teams. South Dakota Cattlemen’s Association President Eric Jennings says that’s a big concern for America’s cattle industry as well as for JBS.
He says the entire livestock industry is effected by this kind of cyberattack.
JBS account for about 20 percent of Australia’s processing production and Jennings says having a cyber attack hit them is concerning for the U.S. because cattle producers are involved in a global market place.
