Chance The Rapper is often the butt of internet jokes, which only seemed to intensify after the release of his 2019 album
The Big Day. The project, which received a dismal 2.3 rating from HipHopDX, was trashed by critics and eviscerated by his once loyal fans.
But during a recent video interview with Hot 97’s Ebro Darden and Peter Rosenberg, he banked on his talents as a way to always stay on top — despite “the internet coming for a teardown” as Ebro suggested.
“I’m happy that ‘The Return’ [new video with Jeremih] is out, I’m happy to put out some more music,” Lil Chano said. “I’m just really, really good at rapping. So, regardless of what happens, I’ma always have that to fall back on. And if that doesn’t work then I can perform my old raps and if that don’t work, I can direct someone else’s raps. It’s gonna work out though. There’s nobody that can rap like me. That’s a cool thing to have.”
