Covia Corp. names a new CEO

The Independence-based supplier of sand and other mineral products to the industrial and energy markets has promoted Andrew Eich to president and CEO, effective Jan. 1. Eich also will join the company's board of managers. Shawn Williams, chairman of the Covia board and acting CEO, will continue in those roles through Dec. 31. He then will become executive chairman of the board.
