here to talk about this and other examples of toxic rhetoric, cnn computer john. thanks for being here. >> we just heard rush limbaugh. we know he's an entertainer. he's not a spokesman for the state but really. >> talk about reinforcing every negative stereotype in the book, but that's his game. again, you can argue that rush limbaugh is an entertainer, but he's also a political leader without real responsibilities. and we're living in a time where politics is following the talk radio model, conflict, fear, tension, and resentment. there's no such thing as too extreme. that's part of the cycle we're in now. >> doesn't he have to make a choice? in other words, when comedians do certain things, they are given greater latitude. as you pointed out, rush limbaugh is not a comedian. rush limbaugh was using that stereotype, that mockery to make a point to be disdainful, to put down, and to do things that are heinous, that are just bad. >> he would argue, though, look, i'm an entertainer. i'm a radio personality. i represent no one.
