thank you, grant schindler, creator of that. for more of the application, visit the blog at cnn.com/ali. >> how do the american people feel about the latest budget deal? well, we have a new report for you from paul steinhauser, and how are people reacting to this deal? >> well, randi, most people are giving it a thumb's up. this is from the cnn national corporation poll, and right there, 58% americans say they approve of this deal which of course averted a possible government shutdown, and 38% say they disapprove, but randi, there is a partisan breakdown and look at the next number, 2/3 democrats and the majority of the republicans. and they say they have a problem or they approve of it, and 49% say they disapprove of the deal. >> and paul, who is really getting credit here for ending this impasse?
