and raise money for a charity with a flight around the world. his father was with him but his body has not yet been found. friends and family remember the boy's sense of humor. >> he was loved by everyone. he -- to me, he always will remain my 8-year-old brother. i still have this image of him being 8 years old. but he was just -- he was funnier than we gave him credit for. >> she says her father and brother were together in doing what they loved. the flight was raising money to build schools in pakistan. the family has raised more than $500,000 for that charity. and this young man was trying to set a record for the fastest circumnavigation of the world with the youngest pilot commanding a single-engine plane. just got his license in june, but dad had been flying since 2007. >> the family is still hopeful the father will actually be found alive. they said he had open-water survival training, so they're still holding out hope. so sad. the boy would have been a senior
