of james risen of "the new york times" possibly facing a jail sentence and eric holder and the administration trying to figure out what is too much in terms of disclosure of information and whether or not someone is a whistle-blower or deserving to be in jail. >> right. i actually did recently create an encrypted account and i put it up on my twitter handle so if anybody needs it, it's there. they can reach out that way. i don't do enough of that kind of reporting for me to need that on a daily basis. a lot of the leaks that i get aren't actually leaks. the people are claiming that they're leaks. >> i saw that on twitter. that's not a leak? >> or the boss is saying, hey, leak this to the "huffington post." >> right. right. >> they can go ahead and scour my e-mail and figure that one out if they want to. but, no, for the more serious kinds of reporting, he's right. you do need to take a ton of precautions because they do have the capability to search everything and if they have that capability, there's no reason to think that they're not using it.
