Details about local fatalities and reasons for the recent adjustments were not immediately available and DOH offices in Tallahassee and in Lake County did not respond to emails seeking information.
A combined total of 681 new confirmed cases of the potentially deadly coronavirus were reported in and Lake and Sumter counties in Friday, Saturday and Sunday’s update — 536 in Lake County and 145 in Sumter. On Sunday, there were 238 confirmed cases, including 194 in Lake and 44 in Sumter County.
