Joining me right now American City private bank Capital Markets kristin bitterly and Fox News Contributor guy benson, Payne Capital president Ryan Partnership and post editorial member kelly torrence. Great to have everybody here this morning. Thank you so much for joining us. Let start on this reopening here and im sorry . The reopening for investvestors. States begin easing restrictions, but the coronavirus cases are spiking, several states rolling back the reopening, many of the stocks have fallen behind again. Kristin, whats your take on allocating capital in this environment . Yes, one of the things that weve been doing at City Private Bank to help make sense of everything thats going on is really breaking down the market into what we call covid defensive stocks and covid cyclical and the stocks that have held up really well, it, the covid cyclical have the ones that have been hurt significantly, travel, leisure, real estate. What we are looking is affiliation between the two when you look at what actually contribute today massive market rally its the covid defenses that make up about 70 of the s p 500 market capitalization, so the question investors are asking right now how much can that momentum continue and is this a good moment to find some opportunities within the covid cyclicals as we are seeing reopening with mind set out 12 to 18 months, so we are actually hedging some of the covid defensive exposure to lock some of the gains and finding some opportunity to recovery in that 11 to 18month time frame. Maria how does the earning story play into that, kirsten, you have Second Quarter earnings begin to go roll out next week, s p 500 companies were expected to show a decline of estimated 43. 9 from a year earlier according to analysts polled, kirsten, what are your expectations in terms of corporate earnings and how does that my into the markets . Absolutely, q2 is going to be pretty catastrophic in terms of earnings. Now i think the one thing to keep in mind is market, the majority of impact that we were anticipating really happened kind of march, april and then into may in terms of the economic shutdown, so we are expecting that from an earnings standpoint. I think right now the question that we have to ask is we are in summer months, the volumes are relatively light and where would we see surprises one way or the other but we expect the Earnings Data so one thing is looking at q2 earnings which we know is going to be pretty ugly but then looking forward in terms of guidance and whether any of the companies are providing guidance which in q1 wasnt really on the table and so the surprises that we anticipate, going back to my analogy of covid defenses versus cyclicals, in the defenses we expect that to basically already kind of confirm what we are expecting that the sectors are doing well, that the whole work at home safe from home thesis was a tailwind for the sectors and we think we can see surprises to the upside in terms of covid cyclicals which have a bit of a value tilt to it. Maria really interesting, great analysis kirsten. Let me bring in ryan payne, go ahead, ryan. Ryan kirsten, i love your thoughts here, my firm was bullish back in march and april and thought we were going to see a vshape recovery and biggest risk is meltup this summer because make data is better than expected, why shouldnt earnings be better than expected here . Kirsten . Going back to delineation between sectors whether theres a surprise to the upside and whether we anticipate any type of negative surprise. We are not anticipating any negative surprise in terms of covid defensive sectors, it sector that have been doing very well. I think the kick lickals, the covid cyclicals is where we could see surprises for the upside and one of the things that weve been studying a lot is real estate and i know that when you look within the space within real estate you have a broad base in terms of the same type of analysis, theres not all real estate is created equal, so when we look at the ecommerce buildout, the types of reach reaps that have benefited from that, those are things that with the Economic Data we are seeing that we could have positive data come out and surprises both in terms of earnings as well as future guidance. Maria yeah, its a great point, kristen because theres commercial real estate where you have brick and Mortar Retail and other that are Services Health care and things that are so in demand right now, medical related stores that may very welfare a lot better. Kristen, great to see you, kristen from the City Private Bank. Coming up this hour invested in you, how investors preparing if joe biden wins the white house. We will tell you how to prepare yourself. And also jovita carransa is here and Maria Salazar is here talking about her race and flipping her district back to red coming up and we will get a sense of miami in terms of covid. In 8 00 a. M. La hour john kennedy is here to talk about the latest of Trump Administrations plan order on china and devin nunes talking about the latest of the durham probe and when we should expect that and california issues over covid19 coming up right here. Much more after the break, John Hopkins School of Health Professor dr. Amary makary on coronavirus cases and the safest way for schools to reopen. Elon musk says the company is close to next level of autonomous driving technology, youre watching mornings with maria live on fox business. Maria welcome back, the number of coronavirus cases now topping 3 million in the United States. California, florida, texas all seeing major spikes as 21 states are pausing or reversing reopening efforts now. President trump is pushing back on the cdc guidelines to reopen schools. Hes threatening to withhold funds for districts that do not reopen in the fall. The president speaking out yesterday at the white house. We are finding out that learning by computer is not as god as learning in the classroom or learning in the campus and i think youre finding that too. We want to learn in the classroom, so our schools, we want them open in the fall. Maria we did get news on new york city, new york city announcing that schools will partially reopen in the fall with students attending inperson classes just one to 3 times a week. Joining me John Hopkins School of Health Professor dr. Marty makary. Thank you very much for being here. Your reaction to opening schools, whats the right balance . Doctor well, theres a balance, maria, and weve got to think about the consequences of not reopening schools that has a heavy toll. Remember we have a hunger crisis going on in the United States. Look at the lines of food banks, School Lunches are important form of nutrition. We have seen calls to child abuse hotlines increase by 77 during the initial shutdowns so we want to do this wise. Its pretty clear right now that in the northern areas, the background burden of the virus in the community is low enough where schools should plan to reopen and if you look at the president s remarks and Vice President pences remarks, they are saying we should plan to reopen but leave a little bit of room for some exemptions and right now theres a massive surge in an area, we have to remember its not just the kids that we are talking about its vulnerable populations, they dont just live in Nursing Homes, they drive buses, their teachers, so we need contingency plans if theres a highlevel of virus. Maria makes a lot of sense. Let me ask you, i want to ask you about the spikes that we are seeing but first talk to us about the race for a vaccine, we had michael milken, 400 potential vaccines in development right now but moderna appears to be the closest, moderna completed trials with 300 adults over the age of 55 and phase 3 also on track. Dr. Makary, what do you think about this in terms of a vaccine, when should we expect one . Doctor well, maria, i would summarize all the vaccine news to say its good news. There are 3 companies right now in phase 3 trials, one in china and moderna in the west. They are doing additional 30 in older individuals. So all of it is great news and i still think a vaccine is early 2021 event. Maria early 2021 event. Whats your take of spikes we are seeing across the country . Do you think this is due to people being out and blowing off the guidelines . You had all of those protests for so many weeks. Is that part of this . Well, we know that indoor activities and congregate settings without masks and poor ventilation are major drivers. This is not institutional spread, this is not Nursing Homes or meatpacking factories as we saw earlier, this is daily activity and its concerning. We dont want to be going into the fall cycle with 5 to 10 million active cases and we are on track right now, we are going 150 miles an hour into a dangerous zone into the fall. Maria yeah, thats a god point. Dr. Marty makary, thank you so much, we will be watching the top story. Coming up joe biden said to release economic plan later today. What we should expect coming up. We will preview it and keep quiet, new roller coaster rule at japanese theme park making a buzz this morning, stay with us. Apps are used everywhere. Except work. Why is that . The future of awesome. Maria welcome back, well, joe biden is expected to announce economic plan today during speech in his hometown of scranton, pennsylvania, biden is looking for innovation and manufacturing expected to be key to his platform. Hes distancing himself from some progressive plans like the new that is deal, however, however, the joe biden and Bernie Sanders together have released a unity policy agenda and wall street is talking about it. The company that im looking at said this is design to ensure that progressives show up to vote for joe biden. On that count it could work but for housing democrats want to spend more. They want to sue lenders, banks postal banking once again, negative for housing and negative certainly for banks among other areas. Guy benson, your thoughts today and interesting that joe biden does it with Bernie Sanders. Guy yeah, i think it fascinates me, maria that the biden people are still nervous about the bernie wing of the party. I mean, the polling thats come out the last few weeks suggests that the party is pretty consolidated around Bernie Sanders around joe biden and the Bernie Sanders clingers like the last gasps of that group mostly have still come on board, im not sure how many more panders can biden has to throw in their direction. I think their bigger concern ought to be folks, the middle who might be wavering who like the job President Trump has done on the economy but are considering voting for joe biden. Thats why i think despite some of these sort of bells and whistles of Bernie Sanders, more regulation, more spending, higher taxes on corporations and richer people, thats all harmful personally, but i think its closer to a bill clinton sound than a Bernie Sanders sound when it comes to the actual substance of the policies. Maria you know, its interesting that he would do this, guy, with Bernie Sanders. I mean, i know its obviously a reach to get the bernie bros and the progressives out to vote for him but how do you on one hand i want to be moderate and on the other hand i have progressive ideas with Bernie Sanders, we know who Bernie Sanders is and his policies . Yeah, and thats the maria guy, biden also says we need to rewrite the economy, just one day elon omar called for dismantling to have free market. Guy messaging of rewriting the economy, im not sure thats what he wants to be saying, seems like a sour note considering the fact that even despite everything and his struggles in the polls, the American People still broadly believe that President Trump has done a good job on the economy. This is the struggle right now for the Democratic Party, their strategist, they are polling people they recognize, they need to be more center left but the gravitational poll with the base and the hardcore activists is much harder left and so theres this balancing act where biden has to sound like hes down for the cause without scaring off voters in the middle and i think thats going to be the story of his campaign and potentially if he wins the story of his presidency. Maria yeah. Kelly jane, what do you think . Kelly a moderate in the Democrat Party has really changed. When Hillary Clinton ran, a decade of 1. 4 trillion, biden has been calling for 3. 4 trillion in tax hikes over decade. Thats more than twice as much and, you know, im looking at what do we expect, we will hear biden talk about green energy. Lets keep in mind what happened when he was Vice President. You had debacles where the government is giving millions of dollars to companies and its just going nowhere, the whole idea that the government is going to decide which energy is going to be energy of the future and picking companies, winners and losers, it hasnt worked in the past and essential not certainly not going to work again. Maria the counterreport that im looking at is this is negative for Credit Bureaus because creating coalescing government run Creative Bureau where they offer back loans and they would have to use it. Something that has a chance to advance if we do see a sweep. Thats one thing the wall street has talked about this morning. We will look at the economic plan coming out of joe biden and share announcement. Debate of police fund asking on making its way into 2020 race as well. Where the candidates stand on that coming up . Chauvin charged with seconddegree murder. The covid19 pandemic is forcing two wellknown retailers to close some stores, bed, bath beyond will shutter locations as part of restructuring, revenue in quarter latest plunging 50 from a year ago while online sales soared 80 and close nearly half of its 121 stores taking a look at shares of bed, bad, they are down almost 1 . Here is a look at what is trending this morning on foxbusiness. Com, ivy league want conference to suspend because of the coronavirus pandemic. Elon musk says tesla is very close to level 5 driving technology which would allow cars to navigate roads without any driver input and the summer beverage wars are heating up with sonic introducing with lemon berry slush, topped off, maria, Vanilla Ice Cream and straw westerns, hope that sound good to you, back to you, maria. Maria yeah, it looks good too, cheryl, thank you so much. Well, the debate over Police Funding continues to heat up into the 2020 race now. Presumptive democratic nominee joe biden weighed in on the idea of diverting some money from Law Enforcement, away from Law Enforcement, biden commented on it yesterday. Surplus military equipment for Law Enforcement, they dont need that, the last thing you need is an up armored hump v like the military invading, they dont know anybody, they become the enemy, they are supposed to be protecting the people. My generic point we degree that we can redirect some of the funding . Yes, absolutely. Maria joining me right now is usa today Washington Bureau chief susan page, susan, good to see you, thanks very much for joining us, are you expecting this issue of defunding the police to be to be an election issue . Susan oh, yes, absolutely. This is an issue in which joe biden has tried to walk a fine line. Hes called for police reform. He has not hes really more specific than what he said before about directing some funds and mentioning military equipment. You can tell itll be interesting because Trump Campaign immediately its one of the clear dividing lines between joe biden and donald trump in this election. Maria yeah, and the president continues to support the police and talk about support needed for the police. The president also pushing for schools to reopen, susan, even threatening to defund those district that is fail to give students back in class, what are the political implications of the president if he forces this issue . Susan i think its a risky for President Trump. On the one hand nobody wants kids back to school more than their parents and ordinary reason they are concerned of safety aspects for it and i think the idea that the president is in effect insisting that a health agency, the cdc, rewrite guidelines for schools because he is so interested, so determined to have them reopen may open questions in the minds of parents and, you know, when we look at swing voters for this fall, a lot of them are going to be women, suburban, rural women, a lot of those women have children who are very concerned about this issue, so i think that while the president wants return to normalcy, he thinks the economy needs to get going, this is a tough issue and we have seen Approval Rating on handling the coronavirus thinking. Maria yeah, i could see that this would be a real hotbutton situation. Meanwhile houston canceling the 2020 Texas Republican Convention next week with coronavirus hitting that city hard. This comes ahead of next months Republican National convention expected in jacksonville florida, many now casting doubt on how many people will actually attend, gop senators including chuck gassily, mitt romney and Susan Collins announcing they will not be going, theyve already announced that. Whats the impact of an empty convention . Susan what if they threw a convention and nobody came, that may be a situation that the republicans may be facing. The president determined to have convention in an arena and balloons coming down. We heard the first hint from President Trump in an interview on tuesday where he said he was flexible about the convention. I think that i would not be buying a nonrefundable plane ticket to jacksonville just yet. Maria yeah, thats interesting, first time we heard him Say Something like that that im flexible. Guy benson, jump in. Guy i want to go back to the issue of reopening schools. I think its fascinating and important not just for kids and all the implications for them, for parents, people trying to get back to work and stop doing double duty. I mean, the economic implications are very significant. I dont have kids but all of my friends who have kids are just obsessed with this question and the issue, so i agree that theres some risk and the president may be going a little too far too fast insisting, saying he will use pressure and other mechanisms, but you have the academy of american pediatrics saying they support this idea going back to school in person in the fall, dr. Fauci said its very important to get to that outcome. How do you think, susan that might play politically if the president can marshal some of the science and doctors that say its worthy and urgent goal . Susan i dont think anyone disagrees that it would be ideal for schools to open and as you say parents most of all, we see stories of reports of child abuse hotline, kids who depend on the School System to feed them breakfast and lunch, so obviously theres some big reasons to have to reopen the schools. I think it all depends of you being able to open in a way thats safe. What if you have a situation like we have seen with bars, government, School Officials say its okay to reopen and surge of case and they have to retrack and go back to closing. I think that is the problem, that is the dilemma that officials are facing now to try to look at can we open the schools back up, how can we do that, how can we keep kids safe and how can we get teachers and bus drivers and cafeteria workers who are adults more vulnerable to the coronavirus to also feel that they can come back to work . Maria yeah, exactly. All right, susan, we will be watching, another hotbutton issue that we need to focus on because our audience wants real information. Susan page, thank you so much, we will see you soon. Coming invested in you, how wealthy americans are preparing for possible tax increases that are coming should joe biden win the white house. We will get you ready for that. North Carolina Congressional candidate Madison Hawthorne live as part of panel, dont miss it start at 7 00 a. M. Eastern. Maria welcome back, invested in you, potential joe biden presidency rattling investors and average americans concerned about what his tax policy could mean for the bottom line. Joining us right now cpa and Business Analyst dan geltrude, thank you so much for joining us, what advice are you giving about possible tax increases and not just about biden raising taxes, 12 trillion in debt, at some point something has to give so perhaps taxes are going up regardless at some point over the coming years, whats your advice . Well, the way i see it, maria, is taxes are going to have to go up and according to joe biden and hes virtually promised going back on the trump tax cuts so lets take a look at what i think is going to happen here, is the first thing hes going to do is hes going the raise income tax rates. Right now we are at 37 . We used to be at 39. 6 before the trump tax cuts. I think we will see that happen, what the people need to do to the extent its possible, you should be looking at accelerating your income in 2020 if you can. Next point here is i think we could see an increase in Capital Gains, right now 20 , we could possibly see a change there, maria, going to ordinary income tax rates, replacing Capital Gains rates so what do you do, you have to look if you have investments that have done very well, 2020 may be the year to make a move and sell those investments. Next, the estate tax or better known as the death tax. Weve had extraordinary exclusion put into place by the trump tax cuts which was basically as we stand right now 11 and a half Million Dollars approximately excluded from your estate and put it together and its over 23 million. I said as soon as this went into effect everybody who has a significant estate should be looking at getting that wealth to the next generation. I dont think it can get any better in death tax so please try to take advantage of that. The final point i want to make is this relates to whats going on with covid, maria, is that state taxes are probably going to go up so wealth is mobile, people are working remotely, i see a big migration from northeast states, west coast states to florida, texas, nevada which is much more favorable. Maria and we have seen a little bit already, dan, youre seeing people leave new york and go to florida and texas for that very reason, no income tax. Whats your advice paying the Capital Gains tax which is at the center of bidens tax plan, should you be selling stocks before the election . Well, you know, thats a tough call, right, maria, because youre going to be changing positions and we cant rely on the polls, so i think we have to look at this and say if we think that biden can win and he can and he could take both houses of congress, yes, i think you have to strategically look at some investments and selling before the election. Maria yeah. Well, we will probably see if he were to win, we will probably see a selloff after the election later on in the year. Let me bring ryan payne in here, ryan, go ahead. Ryan dan im getting bummed out here hearing about taxes. This could be low year for taxes or if you have been furloughed you dont have to take mandatory distribution if youre 72, i know if its my clients im always looking money saving in taxes, is that something youre recommending for your clients right now to generate some tax income really . Thats a good point, ryan, and something that you need to look at, however, because july 15th is the new april 15th, youre going to have a lot of people with taxes due that they may not be able to cover because you have your the remainder of 2019 taxes due, you also have first and Second Quarter payments due for 2020 all at july 15th, some people dont pay their or put away money for their taxes when they should, they may have gotten caught short, however, if thats not the case and proper planning has been done for what can be significant july 15th payments, i do agree that a conversion would be time based upon income projections. Maria all right, yeah, youre not usually talking about tax day in the middle of the summer but it sure is, tax day july 15th, tan, great to get your insights this morning, thank you very much. Japan is asking theme parks to put no screaming rule along with face masks, hoping that people will keep their mouth shut and that will stop spread the virus, spreading the virus. Guy, could you keep quiet on a speeding roller coaster . Guy i dont understand what big deal is. Japanese officials are asking thrill seekers to scream silently in their hearts while on roller coaster and normally that would sound change but screaming silently in my heart is basically what ive been doing for all of 2020. [laughter] guy so its kind of par for the course this year. Maria meanwhile, biden is siding with Bernie Sanders stance on recommendations for a more progressive america. Great to see everybody. Another record day for the nasdaq yesterday, it will not quit, ending in record territory for the 25t 25th time this years Big Technology surges, apple and amazon leading the rebound. David, do you still want to buy tech at these levels . Look, i can understand the concept of buying into the nasdaq right now. Were at alltime highs. It makes sense to add money to large cap secular growth. As america goes back to work, and as the recovery unfolds and we always knew it was going to be stair steps higher, investors are going to want to start to move down the valuation curve. Thats going to point to other areas of the market like industrials, financials, even consumer discretionary. Maria so you think we will see that broadening out . Unquestionably. Because look at the nasdaq right now. Were hitting alltime highs. Look at asset managers. Asset managers are paid just like i am. And by definition, if the nasdaq is moving higher and markets are moving higher, by definition their revenue is going up. These are Companies Trading at under 10 times earnings at this point. Youve got some stocks in nasdaq especially cloud stocks trading at 1,000 times pe if they have any earnings at all. Maria thats a really good point. Lets talk about the 2020 market impact. There is a new warning from Goldman Sachs this morning that mailin voting delays could slam the markets, goldmans clients are being advised to hedge market exposure into december. Ken, whats your outlook here . We know that ag bill barr says mailin voting opens the door to massive fraud. We are expecting mailin voting. Goldman saying its going to delay things, cause a market upset. Its very possible. Weve been giving thought about that we could wake up the next morning and not have 270 electoral votes for either one of them that could start a constitutional crisis. We know this. We can count on florida for the next morning to be counting chads. We can count on those 29 electoral votes no doubt will be so tight we cant declare a winner. If a state is decided because of the mailin he votes coming in, there will be a lot of opposition to that. There could be court cases and it could unravel. There is a risk to investors that we wake up one morning, the morning of november 4th, without a declared winner and then were off to the courts and of course 20 years ago we went through the process, we didnt have social media, we didnt have the crazy social unrest. That might add fuel to Everything Else thats happening at this point. Maria yeah, we know what happens when markets see uncertainty. Come on. Lets look at the next potential test for this market and that is earnings. Earnings are going to begin rolling out in a big way, Second Quarter results rolling out next week, the big banks kick things off, s p 500 companies are expected to show a decrease in profits of 43. 9 from a year earlier according to the analysts polled. Ryan, whats your take on earnings and how that impacts markets, going to begin bigtime next week. Yeah, mari maria, what i loe about analysts is they usually get it wrong. I think were going to see more fuel for the upside. I think the biggest risk this summer is the 5 trillion sitting in cash. So many people arent invested right now. The Economic Data has been phenomenal. I think thats going to correlate over to earnings. So the projections are so dire here that i have to think that companies are going to beat. Just talking about financials next week. Theyre borrowing at zero percent right now. I think the numbers are going could tom in better than expected. If im in cash right now i would be nervous im not getting invested. If anything weve seen here is the markets been right, most analysts and strategists have been wrong. So you have to go with what the markets telling you, thats the economys Getting Better and profits are going to come in strong. Maria yeah, but does that change, ryan, if the market starts believing that joe biden wins and he brings in people like Elizabeth Warren. You see his economic plan today, why did he feel the need to come up with an economic plan that was in step with what Bernie Sanders wants. But he did. And theyre coming out and talking about what biden and Bernie Sanders want. I mean, obviously thats a move to get the bernie brothers, the person owe of bros and progressives to vote for him. Still, he came out with the idea to release a unity policy agenda with Bernie Sanders. Yeah, those bernie bros, youve got to placate them. I thineconomic growth has been e same now for the last 12 years, minus this year, obviously. Under democrats, republicans. So i wouldnt delay an Investment Decision because of whats going on in capitol hill, as warren buffet once said. I think the uncertainty plays into why equities are such good value and i wouldnt let the election distract you. At the end of the day, biden is more likely a mod rest than an extreme moderate than an extremist. Maria i dont know if you could say the economys the same with republicans or democrats. Youre talking about clearly different policies shal, raising taxes, cutting taxes, raising regulation, cutting regulation. Theres a lot that can be said. I dont think we give enough discussion about the senate. Lets say biden does win and its a blue wave and he has the executive and legislative branch, the house and senate all in blue. Yeah, he could go far left and again be capital destruction and same companies are coming over here, could start leaving the u. S. , just the opposite of everything thats happening. I think one of the keys is watching the senate race. That will be a good check and balance. We dont talk about that we talk about the polling, the president , so forth. To me its the senate, if the senate stays republicans we have the check and balance. We may have to go up a little bit in taxes to pay for this huge 7 trillion weve amassed here. But thats the key to me watching on november 3rd, whats going to happen to the u. S. Senate. Maria okay. Yeah, i know thats increasingly becoming an issue in a lot of wall street firms, talking about where we are in the senate. Thank you, gentlemen. David nelson, ken m mahoney and rinryan payne. Coming up this morning, we talk about the concerns over reopening and the chances of more stimulus. Florida congressional candidate Maria Salazar joins me. In the 8 00 a. M. Hour, louisiana senator john kennedy joins me to talk about the latest planned executive order on china. And california congressman devin nunes on the latest on the durham probe coming up. The flight to the suburbs, more americans are leaving big cities in search of wide open spaces, much more ahead on that stay with us. Youre watching mornings with maria live on fox business. Maria welcome back. The push to Defund Police, Presumptive Democratic president ial nominee joe biden now says funding should be redirected away from police even though his campaign has said he does not support defunding the police. Kelly torrance, your reaction to this sort of 360 on biden. Kelly yeah, it doesnt really surprise me, maria. His Campaign Says hes against defunding the police because they know that most americans want protection. This is one of the few things that government obviously should be doing. Theres no argument that governments first duty is to protect the lives of citizens and i have to say, you know, weve already seen some of the problems here in new york city of course with weve got some defunding going on here. And weve got the Police Backing off. Over the holiday weekend, we had 49 shootings with eight people dead. Its out of control. And bidens first instinct of course, when someone says dont you think we should redirect funding, he says yes, absolutely. So i think that anything he says, youve got to take with a grain of salt. Hes looking at the politics when he says lets not defund but his real reaction is to go where his party is going. And i think weve seen the results of that in big cities. Its bad news. Maria you know, its interesting, because is he going to be able to keep walking this line of, yeah, im a moderate, but, but, but, i agree with, you know, dismantling the economy, but, but, but, i agree with raising taxes, but, but, but, i agree with perso Bernie Sanders. Ilhan omar said shes calling for a dismantling of americas economy and political systems. You had joe biden talking about dismantling of the economy in some ways. Is he going to be able to walk this, his Campaign Says were moderate and yet he keeps siding with bernie and ilhan omar. Kelly its going to be very difficult. Hillary clinton came out that she said shes got a public view and a private view. Well, clearly joe biden is the same. But he cant keep everything private. The voters want to know what he thinks and of course those in his party want to know what he thinks and they are pushing him to the left. Already pushed the party really quite far to the left i think in the last four to six years, starting with Bernie Sanders in 2016 and its getting harder and harder. I think people should be a little hes not doing a great job of it. Maria same thing about defunding the police, new york city is seeing a troubling surge of retirement filings as crime rises across the five boroughs from june 29th to july 6th, requests soared 411 from the same time last year. The la Police Department is investigating a spike in sick calls. Guy benson, no kidding, of course theyre calling in sick and theyre walking away. They dont have the support of the mayors and the governors. Guy yeah, they feel like theyre under fire, under siege, unable to do their job, crime is spiking. Theyre looking for the exits. You have progressive politicians saying lets do more. Lets pile on more. Lets defund more. You know, i suspect joe bidens going to probably clean this up, walk it back a little bit to clarify exactly what he meant by this to try to, again, have it both ways. But its a balancing act that is precarious for him. Maria yeah, i agree. It is a precarious situation. When we come back, take a look at markets, futures are lower as we stand by for the initial jobless claims out in just over an hour from now, that could very well set the tone for markets. Dow industrials down 69, nasdaq is up another 35 today, once again in record territory. Coming up, twitters banner day, the stock seeing a surge amid a new development for the platform. Well tell you all about it when we come right back. Tada did you know Liberty Mutual customizes your Car Insurance so you only pay for what you need . I should get a quote. Do it. Only pay for what you need. Liberty. Liberty. Liberty. Liberty. Maria welcome back. A 700 billion jobs plan, former Vice President joe biden is expected to detail his proposals at a speech in scranton, pennsylvania today. Biden teams up with his former rival, Bernie Sanders, laying out a progressive road map on issues from Climate Change to healthcare. Joining us now is jason trenner. Thanthank you for being here. I know you have such a great angle on politics and money. Tell me what your take is from this biden, Bernie Sanders economic plan. Well, maria, well see whats in it. But, you know, i do know from experience, especially looking at the 30s quite carefully, its very dangerous when you try to mix the goal of an economic recovery with certain social goals. That was one of the great lessons from the in my opinion, the depression, thats one of the things that allowed the depression to last a lot longer. The risk is that you scare business and that capital goes on strike. And thats the thing i fear. Again, ill see whats in it. But i prefer a much more supplyside approach that would allow us to grow our way out of the problems that we have now as opposed to just readies redistrg money which in my opinion will not work. Maria so are you expecting a reaction from investors to this plan . I mean, this morning cowen and companys out with a report saying joe biden and Bernie Sanders released a unity policy agenda. Its designed to ensure progressives turn out and vote for biden on that count, thats fine, but for housing democrats want to spend more to make it easier to sue lenders, banks and housing will see a negative impact. What else gets impacted in the economy from this report . From what you know now. Listen, i think just just the things that joe biden has said before, with regard to Corporate Taxes are a massive hit to corporate profits at a time when corporate profits are down. So that in my opinion is very dangerous because youre relying on the Business Community obviously to hire people back at a very uncertain time and so in my opinion this is not the right approach to be doing things obviously that encourage Capital Formation as opposed to hurting certain businesses or picking winners and losers. The best stimulus for the economy candidly is to let the economy heal on its own. It should be there obviously to provide help for those who need it but the more the government helps, a lot of times the worse the outcomes become. Maria yeah. Which is why i think that wall street has not really focused on this election yet. If they believed if investors believed that biden was going to have a sweep of an election and turn all democrat, i think we would see a selloff because of everything youre discussing. Meanwhile, the nasdaq is at an alltime high. I want to ask about the Goldman Sachs report. Goldman is warning that joe bidens tax plan would cut s p 500 earnings by 20 a share, jason, so very much in step with what youre saying but theyre actually putting a number on it, saying it will cut into profits. Yeah. No, were estimating it will be somewhere between 10 and 15 , depends on how high the Corporate Tax rate goes from where it is now at 21 , but if it goes to 28 , it could be 10 to 15 of corporate profits. Corporate profits are going to be down about 30 this year from where they were last year. So thats on top of what were seeing now. So its quite dangerous. I tend to agree. I dont think the market i think theyre wise in many ways is not pricing in a democratic sweep and the reason why theyre wise not to price it in is theres four months before the election and, you know, up until five weeks ago the primary focus of this election was going to be china. Right now it seems perhaps like certain social issues are going to be the focus. In a month, the lord only knows what the faux of cuss will be. In focus will be. In politics, four months is an eternity. I dont think the markets will be focusing on the markets too closely until the conventions. Maria i think youre right. Nasdaq at an alltime high. I dont think it would be there if some of these policy things and the agenda were reading about from biden today were actually believed to be to materialize. Jason, always great to see you. Great handle on money as well as politics. We appreciate your time this morning. Come back soon. Coming up, ill be speaking with u. S. S p has turned positive, up half a point right now. Markets rebounded yesterday. The nasdaq ending the day with another record high at 4 00 on wall street at 10,492, that was up 150 points and the dow was up 177. Global markets are also mixed. In europe take a look at the european indices. German imports and exports rebounding in the month of may, falling short of what economists expected. Reopening or reclosing, while Many Companies are getting back to business, there is still concern about spiking coronavirus cases and that will force a shutter once again of the economy. Joining us now is u. S. Small business administrator jovita carranza. Jovita, great to have you this morning. Thanks very much for joining us. Give us your status check. Youve been overseeing the ppp, the money going to businesses and to employees to try to keep employees paid throughout all of this. How would you assess the program now and where are we in terms of money left . Well, maria, its great seeing you again and being on your show. Im very, very pleased that the Paycheck Protection Program, the ppp as you stated is one unprecedented successful program. The fact that we have been able to sustain over 5 million Small Businesses, weve also been able to contribute to the 7. 5 million jobs that have been retained in the United States. As you know, Small Businesses contribute to 45 of the workforce and so its very important for this president that the Small Businesses are vibrant. The trips that ive taken, maria, have been really motivating. I visited restaurants. As you know, theyve been the hardest hit sector. I visited manufacturing. All of them are very cautious about transitioning into an opening, very productive state and you asked me about how successful ppp is running right now. We have over 100 billion remaining. So that sole proprietors and independent contractors who are apprehensive of applying can do so openly with local lenders. We have an extension up to august 8th which the president has signed. So im really pleased to report that to you. Maria yeah. Well, while many are waiting for further stimulus money from congress, President Trump signed into law the extension of the Paycheck Protection Program over the weekend and that program as you just said runs through august 8th now, with that 100 billion remaining. About 4. 9 million loans have already been doled out of, more than 50 million jobs saved, jovita. I know youve been saying that. Where will that remaining 100 billion go . Do you think the program will be fully utilized by august . Im really pleased to share with you that at this time the nontraditional lenders, such as additional cdfis, credit unions, are still applying to be authorized lenderses the to provide liquidity to Small Businesses, especially those particular lenders that are very specialized in providing funding for the underserved markets, those communities that have been really socially and financially hit with this covid situation. Were very focused on our outreach. Im meeting actually ill be traveling tomorrow, meeting with lenders of Small Businesses to learn more from them, what else and what type of support can we provide them. Maria some of these companies will not make it out of this. We know that. You mentioned restaurants, hospitality, leisure in general are really seeing a new reckoning, arent they . Because we are going to see some real struck churl change in a structural change in a number of industries. What can you say about that . What about that restaurant out there who may very well have taken ppp money but at the end of the day it just wasnt enough because of the shutdown, they could not reopen and are forced to actually let people go and close down . What happens to them in terms of coming back to business and getting the money that they need over time to start anew . Because you will have a fair amount of bankruptcies and companies that will not make it through this. Yes, maria. I visited in chicago, a taquria, a place where they sell tacos. And chicago is my home, as you know, i was born and raised there. Visiting a particular local business was very important for me to visit in chicago and visiting this particular restaurant, i was speaking to the mother. The son is the one that runs the business. Its really his business. Actually, they have three restaurants. And what ive experienced, maria, in that visit is that they had social distancing, they had their masks, they were following through with the cdc, they were only open 20 . They have pivoted their business. They dont have seating inside of the restaurant. They have outdoors. And they only seat every other bench. So these Small Businesses, although theyre not open 100 , theyre making the necessary adjustments to retain their employees. As a matter of fact, because now they pivoted to a different Business Plan where they or theyre actually putting on more employees. In other words, adding employees with different skillsets so im really encouraged about the adjustments, the innovation that these particular Small Businesses are putting in place. Maria yeah. Well, youve got to do what youve got to do, right . I mean, but capacity of 20 is not going to be enough for a lot of businesses. So at some point somethings got to give. Let me ask you about the Small Business administration having faced some backlash after listing who received more than 150,000 in the Paycheck Protection Program. So the list was outed. It included fast food chains like five guys, kanye wests shoe company, nobu restaurants backed by Robert Deniro and private k12 schools with large endowments. Was it necessary to list who took the money. Let me just clarify for those listeners that have read those headlines. Of the 4. 5 million applications and the half trillion dollars, those are the exceptions. From the very beginning, we have installed systems, review systems to ensure that whoever certified with their lender as you know, the lenders have provided those funds to these particular companies. And as long as they certified and followed the law and applied and retained remember, the ppp was designed twofold. One, to retain employees. And also to sustain their Small Business. And we have systems in place so that if anyone is misrepresenting the need for those funds, we will act accordingly and i cant emphasize more that we have had more than 30 billion returned either due to cancellations or duplications or individuals that decided not to take the loan and withdrew. So im very hopeful that other people that perhaps considered those loans and make other arrangements with their lenders, perhaps are not going to ask for the forgiveness because as you know, no federal dollars will go to a business that is not appropriate for this particular plan. Maria what about this mistake that the irs made, jovita, sending two checks to one person . This week an ohio man noticed his bank account was flush with nearly 5 million because it was a mistake that the irs sent him two checks instead of one. The irs are asking people who should not have received a check to please send them back. How did that happen . I cant answer for treasury. I can answer for sba. We have developed a very extensive Communication Program so that not only are we sending emails, were also making direct calls, were also contacting the banks. So its a very collaborative approach to try to retain the funds for our taxpayers that were perhaps erroneously or of duplicated in some way. But i know, nothin knowing trea, they have controls in place and they have a task force addressing those issues. I cant speak to the specifics, but maria, all of us in the government maria understood. Worked under very kind of surge perspectives and so we were tasked to expediently provide a lifeline to our economy and as a result of that, weve been able to retain over 7 million jobs and also the fact that these Small Businesses have been sustained im only talking about one portfolio, the sba. I believe that this president has put Small Business front and center and because of that weve been enabling this economy to rebound. Maria absolutely, jovita. Youve done a great job, you and your colleagues. Obviously, this is a very incredible moment in time and its what we need is confidence and this program has certainly created that. Jovita, thank you. Good to see you this morning. Jovita carranza joining us this morning at the white house, Small Business administrator. Coming up, florida congressional candidate Maria Salazar is here to talk about her campaign. A programming note, join fox business for a special town hall, america together, open house, barbara corkran she will answer questions on the state of real estate. She joins us at 1 00 eastern. For bundling made easy, go to geico. Com maria welcome back. A rematch in miami, former journalist Maria Salazar looking to unseat democratic congressman donna shalala. Salazar made the race surprisingly competitive in a district that President Trump lost by nearly 20 in 2016. Joining us right now is maria elvira salazar. Thanks very much for joining us. You are up against a lot of pushback here with donna shalala, a political name in business for a long time. Give us your platform. How are you going to flip your seat to red . First of of all, thank you very much, youre one of the best in the business. Im happy to be here with you. We know what democratic coshism socialism means. We know thats a fraud. We know thats not true. And unfortunately, donna, my opponent and many in the Democratic Party have been hijacked. They have been theyre hostages of this radical left that is dragging the Democratic Party to socialism which i just told you its a lie. Its like saying democratic farism. Far fascism. That doesnt exist. My community, im in miami, the ultimate melting pot where the cuban exiled community lives, people that have fled the dogma. Thats why were very concerned because we know that that ideology, that economic model will bring oppression for my children and everybodys children that are watching right now. Thats why im sure well be able to flip it fast to republican hands. Maria do you think that the people believe that, maria . Are you getting that sentiment on the ground. Donna shalala has been a name in politics for a long time. She has been absent and silent. She is part of that machinery, that political elite, that as i said is to be siding with the far left because they have no other of choice. That party unfortunately has been hijacked by this dogma that theyre promising social justice. I get it that we need to do reform. I get it that there are bad cops. We get it. But its not through socialism. Its through free market, through democracy, by talking to people, by being free, not by being socialists. Thats a fallacy. Thats why were so concerned. Media and academia have been teaching our kids, my two children, that socialism is whats going to solve our problems. No. Thats not true. And you know why i yell it, because im cuban american. Maria yeah. I think our audience agrees with you. Maria, let me switch gears and ask about miamidade and whats going on there. The mayor rolling back some reopen offing efforts, the coronavirus cases have been surging. Statewide the governor still wants Public Schools to open of next month. Your thoughts on where we are, how does florida feel for you right now in terms of these recent spikes . Well, we are very concerned because, you know, our young people thought that this was over and what happened is that they went out and went to the beaches, went to the bars and they didnt keep social distancing, didnt put on any masks and we spiked up. Were in a situation where its costing us economically speaking. Maria well be watching. Thanks so much for being here. Thanks very much. Thank you for your time. Maria maria elvira salazar. I think you are going to see a a significant rollout of measures with respect to china coming days and weeks the president said that hong kong will no longer be treated as separate entity it will be treated as part of china, so there will be a number of regulation, a number of actions that take place to implement the president s decision. Maria joining me right now louisiana senator member of Senate Judiciary appropriations banking committees, john kennedy always a pleasure thanks very much for joining me this morning. Thank you, maria. Maria we have talked so much, about the communist party of china, and this really aggressive espionage company that they are doing, of course, the supply chains that are in china making the u. S. So reliant on so many important things what is most important, in your view, right now in terms of what the president should be putting in this executive order, today . Against china . Here is what we should expect from china. Here is what we need to recognize, number one, the Chinese People are wonderful folks i visited their country many times they are wonderful people, number two, the communist party led by president xi is acting like a bunch of thugs the president needs to stop it number three this is what we should ask for from china we dont want to you will kawar we just wants chaining responsible shareholder are world order stop cheating stop stealing intellectual property open markets stop raiding ides in the South China Sea stop bullying australia i can keep going the problem some is americas fault let me say explain why i am saying that. For 25 years the cultured cosmopolitan tuna tartar set experts told us be patient with china Free Enterprise will change them. Dont stand firm give them what they want Free Enterprise did not change china, china as tried to change Free Enterprise, and we have to stand up to them. Not to try to dominate them, but to tell them follow international rules. Now trump is doing that, and he has been first president that i can remember who has done it. Do we have the support of the rest of the world i mean a lot of things that irsaying that the Chinese Communist party is doing is impacting the whole world look they invaded india okay being they militarized South China Sea look overreached he had in hong kong is it just u. S. Versus china or the world versus china . The communist party then i want to ask but the cal fight that we are having do you see any coincidence in the fact that over the last six months, President Trump has unusualed idea to stop investing in companies that are part of the surveillance state stop minister should not be investing thrift fund money other railroad 401 k dont put that into things like hike vision a Chinese Company tracking uighurs in caverns companies building equipment for military as the president has been saying stop investing in china, xi jinping is telling kwun we need a bull market in place immediately millions of chinese started opening stock accounts shanghai composite up 14 two weeks coincidence there that u. S. Is trying to stop vee. Xi jinping saying keep it going so we have a bull market going to attract foreign investors. Once again, we have to make the Chinese Communist party understand that we expect them to play by the rules, now, other than the United States, maria, you know how many other countries trust china . None, zero. Nada they are scared. China is the second largest economy, china uses economic theft to bully other countries and many, many other regions of the world scared to stand up to them. Now there is exceptions, australians standing up to them india is standing up to them canada is standing up to them, we need to join with allies including not limited to europe, and say to china look, you are going to play by the rule. Or were not going to do business with you. And that is all he this will understand, remember theyve had 25 years of being able to do whatever they wanted to do. Maria well, look i dont see i dont see france jeremy italy changing theirh endure huawei is wore weve got to advance france germany i think they are watching what we are doing should not be scared we will take the lead but the world needs to join together, and i dont want to paint too much of a dismal picture im very proud of the Australian Government very proud of the fact that modi india standing up i am proud of what cappeda is doing not every country is running hiding in the corner some are weve got to take i think you make a really good point in terms of canada, australia even uk coming around as well let me ask you about the debate over Police Funding, heating up in 2020 race, Presumptive Democratic nominee joe biden entertaining the idea of now diverting money from Law Enforcement also cake out with economic plan with Bernie Sanders, about basically making announcement that we have a show of unit Bernie Sanders believes in my economic plan, of course, is higher tax, and possibly wealth tax if Elizabeth Warren has a voice in there reaction to what we are hearing from joe biden this morning. Well, Vice President bidens principals are a little fluid. I mean his his Campaign Slogan seems to be i have principles if you dont like them i have others. I am new democratic position of of us defund the police, i i i dont understand it. I dont get it i dont think American People will support it. But apparently a Vice President and new democratic position is that all cops are racists, most americans are racists, the criminals are not they are not bad people they are just misunderstood, and we have a social worker talk to them everything will be okay. I think a very naive view of the world and i think we are seeing that, i said this the or day i meant it chicago, is now the countrys largest outdoor shooting range. And other cities are following it, here in new orleans. It is happening, atlanta, philadelphia. And the i dont think it is a coincidence that most urban areas are run by yield curve democratic mayors who are clearly holding the police back. Maria so you think that these are democratic policies that are crime in new york. Up huge you in the last couple weeks. If you are serious, about trying to help people in our niner cities neighbors our friends less fortunate than us, you dont defund the police. You you increase police presence. You do something about inner city schools where learning is is uncommon violence is very common, areings you talk frankly to young men and women about the family unit, you ask them to stop having children outside of marriage, and we need to revamp all of our social programs to make sure we are getting results, now that is not symbolic that is real progress. Maria a yeah, this sounds very practical, senator, love talking with you as always love that tuna tartar comment please come back. Itch never had i have never had tuna tartar i dont know if you have but i never had any. [laughter] i have tried it i have i am not the a big fan ive tried it, california congressman it is okay. I will just say that california congressman devin nunes to talk latest on china and did youham probe you are watching mornings with maria live on fox business. t know meant so much. Maria has economic recovery begun lets take a look at market we continue to see mixed story, but markets have come all the way back dow industrials are still lower down 51 points look at nasdaq continuing to push into record territory, up 50 points this morning 10712 unchartered territory s p up a quarter point Federal Reserve officials raising fresh doubts about are durability of bounceback joining me jim grant, jim it is great to talk with you again thank you so much for being here. Is this you are welcome maria. Maria so what are you thinking about economic recovery . We have your oped here, you he recently wrote oped in the journal titled powell has become the fed dr. Feelgood, you right ground scraping Interest Rates turned favors into the second lateors quarantined millennials into day trader facilitate over borrowing are suppress market signals appropriately dubious businesses of well financed countries into mr. Powell how little he knows he and rest of us jim tell us more about this and how, you characterize the handling of this economic recovery, that we are he supposed to be in right now. You know, this, insuperable difficulty out in revenue things dont work there is no kind of monetary policy, that is designed to supplant the actions of commerce that is what they faced in march, we are not concerned investors really concerned with voters nor with necessity but rather with outcomes what does all this mean. And in several things, by this i mean, a uniquely aggressive monetary stance, it means Interest Rates no longer are prices, that reliably direct investment flows, Interest Rates are artificial constructs of the fed doing its best to step in and make something happen in absence of Economic Activity, as we used to know it Interest Rates historic judgments and flows and the amount of money that fed has created is itself a factor and the fed is wants us to believe that we should believe, that there will be no inflation out of all this and to me that is vast unknown, we have the worlds americas fastest peacetime money growth, with the alltime 4,000 year lords in Interest Rates most curious and troubling juxtaposition there so i think what we have maria, is is some monetary moment unprecedented and, therefore, calls for extreme caution, and great humility on the part of all us. Jay powell has been clear Interest Rates stay near rockbottom levels until 2023 at minimum look what have a that is done in terms of money into equities look at nasdaq tesla some name we talked about in the past that even exceeded evaluations you he a questioned couple years ago. An observation i think may help people think about alternatives to, nasdaq, friends at rosen created commodity indices to 1900 compare to Dow Jones Industrial average every year to present what they found, is that Commodity Prices in relation to the you do are lowest in those 120 years. The so you know that to me is kind of lights a light, that reminds us there may be extreme valuation out there might be inviting capital, when ought to be repelling it we put out perhaps predictively but certainly costly as much as any can be confident about anything Precious Metals we feel alternative to what is happening in equities and bonds, i think that a come on. Sorry maria. No, issue commodities could be a place to look particularly if you are expecting inflation to rear its heard in the couple years we need more time i hope you come back soon so pressure you stopping in this morning thank you jim, Interest Rate observer. Well be right back. I got an oriole here. Eh. Common bird. Ooh look over here something much better. There it is. Peacock, included with xfinity x1. Remarkable. Fascinating. Very. Back, big city exodus mornings leaving in droves suburbs one commodity many of the cities not space as Lauren Simonetti reports plenty of reasons to move. Good morning one hour outside new york city i am going to show you hottest trends in intarn how big pandemic prioritiesed for homeowners privacy, cleanliness multifunctionality. People bought diversity within home and opposites want to be able to use a space for many purposes. Keyword space. The virus sparked a mass exodus from crowded cities to suburbs get the two acre colonial farmhouse new jersey 45 minutes from new york city. What surprises me i thought people done with open floor plan we are in a walled apartment. They want to come into kitchen want to see what is on tv, the news, sports, dont want to close the rooms up they want it open. They also want privacy, are getting creative with how to achieve that. Were adding two family rooms converting dining rooms, to homework rooms during day. Span of a few months living rooms dining rooms have become parents home offices. Lockdowns turned home gyms movie theatres into household necessities to help germs out. Asking for faucets touchless, leave outside out the door like coats shoes. Every client wants Something Different some us iffier than others fussier two toilets the husband wanted his toilet the wife wants her toilet. Same bedroom same bed but separate toilets. Separate toilets. Coronavirus changed what is hot in housing. The price of this farmhouse just over a Million Dollars, maria, back to you. Maria all right good stuff thanks so much Lauren Simonetti for more answers to pressing requestions tune into virtual town hall today america together open house 1 pm Eastern Special intes boar bra corcoran 1 00, guy beston thoughts on really changing perspectives for americans given, the density. In cities so that i am so reeling from thing about two toilets in the master bathroom that is a thing really i never heard such a thing. Could i gather the thoughts on more serious note between, covid i think you are seeing People Living on top of each other people are rethinking that, then in a lot of major cities spike in violence, and officials, and elected officials politicians showing many case they are more interested in preening signaling wealthy than protecting life and property in major cities i think a lot of people are looking around at those two factors that are overlapping simultaneously and saying we are out of here lets take a look at suburbs we might get more bang for buck if making those decisions by all means do it, think about perhaps changing the types of people that you vote for when you move to a place because more affordable, and safer. Compared to the city. Yeah, well a good point, because oftentimes you have people saying well the taxes are too high here, so i am going to florida, and then they vote the way they voted in, no, then they bring the policies with them. This exactly right. Maria we are looking at economy that is also been impacted by all the crime homelessness that is another reason people are leaving dense 70s look at San Francisco shootings in pork. Seattle right the chaz the chop whatever they were all it autonomous zones you had a lot of mayors and officials, you know City Council Members saying we really want to go full woke, the results are playing out in the streets again a lot of people, who have the privilege being able to afford to move are saying, looking increasingly like housing option to do so exactly, we are waiting on initial about jobless claims out in a moment ryan payne we got number in a second here quick, what are you expecting from this weeks number. Should be good we should see another, deceleration in jobless claims number 14th week straight i think theme Economic Data keeps coming in better than better than expected. And i expect more of that, so i am optimistic here, and you know you see the economy just reopening much quicker than anyone thought, like old bob dylan quote you only need weatherman to see which way wind is blog i got back from new york the Economic Activity getting more and more all the time. We are seeing a market improve here as awaiting jobs jobless claims we know 45 million americans have already filed, for unemployment benefits. The weekly benefits come out Cheryl Casone has number right now they are hitting the tape. Cheryl yeah, a a little bit better than expected for the actually initial jobless claims for week ending july you 4 estimate 1. 375 million came in 1. 314 million good news were going to take it the prior week 1. 427, so drop from week prior that still kind inform that range lower part of the range 1. 2 million to 1. 99, continuing claims a lot of economists watching right now coming in below the analysts expectations, 18. 95 was expectation, came in 18. 062, again this is actually below the range that i was looking for continued claims it was 18. Of the bottom of the range, actually continuing claims came in in bottom of the range after that blowout june jobs report, that we got, one thing i want to say about continuing claims, is that Deutsche Bank put out a note saying with some rehe closings if you will have in texas florida california, they were going to be sensitive to continuing claims number particularly because a lot of counties do have strong impact on gdp, are but, again, better news than expected repeating once again dow down 15 points initial claims better than expected 1. 314. And continuing claims, better than expected 18. 062. Right now we are at about 50 million initial claims filed since midmarch we did hit that with this number did hit that kind of unfortunate milestone for initial claims back to you. Maria look weve got a market that is recovering, coming back from lows on this number Kelly Torrance larry kudlow has said on this program, couple weeks ago we are going to see 20 growth Third Quarter 20 growth in Fourth Quarter feels like recovery has begun, kelly. Lets hope so, about maria. You know i know ryan is i very smfkt i like to be optimistic i worry in new york, might be things looking up but at the same time we got Governor Cuomo mayor de blasio stopping Indoor Dining from starting this week like supposed to despite the fact we will take a break congressman devin nunes on the other side of this break. Maria welcome back, white house looking to take significant measures against china President Trump, expected to release a new executive order against beijing today, joining me right now to talk more about that other things, House Intelligence Committee rankinging member california congressman devin nunes congressman always a pleasure to see you. Thank you so much for joining are is this morning. The great to be with you, early out here i am watching the sun come up over the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountain Range great to be here. You are great to get up early for us thank you so much for that let me ask you congressman it was your work that led me to start zeroing in probing china four years ago days you and i started talking you were telling me you were investigating certain moves that Chinese Communist party made your assessment of the National Security risks of china given your extensive probing what ccp has been doing over years he as i recall first talk become russia hoax democrats were continuing to push the russia hoax on the American People, somehow the Republican Party and trump were doing something bad with moscow or putin the reality of it was weve proven it was them they were doing it but during that time period i think i was saying to you on your show several times china is the real problem here, yes, russia has a great intelligence service, they have a powerful military they have their nuclear power, they have a great history, and they are a traditional with adversary putin doing bad thing owner o globe chinese while we sleep continues to undermine every asset facet of the Global Economy even u. S. Economy when we started researching this looking into huawei bte appeared putting in the connections throughout the Communications Infrastructure global, so that they could control and listen in and spy and steal secrets, electronically, now what youve seen appears like theyve had a systemic plan in place to bring people in, to recruit americans to bring Chinese Students over to the United States, and look, what it is cull minimumated has not gotten a lot of fanfare the House Republicans on intelligence committee, have legislation to top visas given to members of the China Communist Party or students that parents are members of the China Communist Party, are why would we let fox in henhouse . Is that what is were doing here. Yeah, but how do you differentiator who is working for the ccp and who isnt isnt that issue are there students really just want to come study quantum computing a. I. Just want to be in america . Or i mean is there in way to differentiate who is taking data back to the ccp . That is real challenge if not part of the party you are nothing in china, it is very hard to get ahead. Or to become anything if i are just a peasant out in the field. So you know you cant they are trying to steal and rob us blind. So look, if your parents are part of Chinese Communist party look, im sorry we have students around the globe that are just as smart, including students here in the United States, that need to take positions, spots where being educated some of the best universities around the globe, and we need to make sure that they are not being taken by somebody who ultimately is going to go back work for Chinese Communist party if you are part of the party if you have a business, you work for the Chinese Communist party. The it is very, very simple. A topdown run system. We are hearing exactly, we are hearing increasingly from everybody from yourself studying it several years to ag barr now Christopher Ray fbi saying china is major threat. But lets get back to the russia hoax the senator grassley expressing concern durham probe not ready yet tweeted monday no to process constitutions until after election, think flynn impeachment deep state so deep political get away with political crimes durham this about producing fruit of labor we know what tooing we have seen krlt fbi agent are dockering evidence said carter page not working with cia when he was he doctored evidence we have abuses fisa courted leaking lying to congress all these things are already criminal. How come we havent heard from john durham when are you dppg it . Have you know if we dont hear until after election trump does int win we wont hear another word about this they will have gotten away with this. First to say not the having leaks from investigation is something we havented in a while because, of course, all threw russia hoax all we heard from mueller team leak after leak after week House Republicans made 15 criminal referrals i talked about that on your sunday show few weeks ago, this is a very large investigation because you are talking about a time frame that stretches from late 2015, all the way basically through to end of Mueller Probe that is size and scope of the conspiracy, so, look. I think it is good that were not hearing from durham. And i do want these prosecutions, indictments before election i think really important for American People to know without indictments i think you are left with if you look at polling today you still have over half americans believe somehow the Republican Party and donald trump have something to do with putin, for gods sakes you have speaker of the house nancy pelosi, last week, essential assert that Mitch Mcconnell the republican leader has something to do with russia, when reality is it was democrats and Clinton Campaign colluding with russia last night yesterday i believe biden made a reference about trump carrying putins water sick, sick people sick in the head they poisoned millions americans this is what happens when you have talking about china earlier, when you have a Propaganda Network you control 90 media, about you run it through that funnel, of the tech ole a garbings tech tire oonts it is understands standing over half americans believe Republican Party republicans have something if anything to do with putin. It is because propaganda is funneled right into the American People. And that is why we need justice served here so American People learn the entire truth of this of this long conspiracy for four years. You are right, absolutely extraordinary that half have america tlkz could been russia c ollusion partly because you have people like yourself have resumes went behind closed doors said no collusion went on cnn said plain sight yeah donald trump committed treason i am talking about adam schiff and john brennan congressman is there any accountability for that quick . Weve got to jump. Ultimately, as members of congress were held responsible at voting booth it was the top democrat on house Intelligence Academy tried to get nude pictures of President Trump even after the fact after conducted investigation it was democrats in Clinton Campaign had been cou. Lluding with russians tried to go to rerns to get nude pictures of the president you cant make this stuff up. Maria you cant biggest political scandal of our time thank you, sir. We will see you soon, well be right back. Maria welcome back. Keeping airplanes clean coronavirus germ concerns prominenting many to travel by private jet now, Kristina Partsinevelos is live from interest Teterboro Airport in new jersey, with more. Support for police ford ceo hackett defending the company decision, to produce police cars writing in internal memo the issues plaguing Police Credibility have nothing to do with vehicles smaller vehicles could be used to improve ability to protect and serve after ford employees wrote asking the company to stop making police cars. Nascar showing support for Law Enforcement one drir partnering with Wounded Blue Organization on themed car for this weekends race, guy benson nice to see support for the police force here. By the way, i guaranteed every single one of these he ford employees who signed a letter wanting to stop make manufacturing police cars every single one if they were in trouble at their house would want one of those cars showing up at their doorstep as soon as possible. In their drive way lets be brael that nim fairer of reform we need reforms to the police but it has gotten out of control there is no pushback. There should be. Absolutely, you have got to give credit ceo ford for saying what, whoa, we can be part of the solution cars have nothing to do with anything in terms of the negatives we are hearing about, maybe a smart vehicle could be helpful. Is this right exactly, not just immediately to demands of a small group of people, more leaders need to do that. Maria exactly. Google caves for employees when they walked away from pentagon. Have i mean makes about twothirds of the police vehicles, in this country i think very telling, police cannot do their jobs without vehicles. So this idea that people are trying to say Defund Police get rid of the police that is what some people are calling for. Of the it is really gotten out of hand again i think guy is right, it is going to hurt minority communities most if police you gutted those communities need Law Enforcement help the most. Maria i mean so naive to say you want to mantle police altogether what guides have said when you are in this trouble who are you going to call.
