This final hour pullback in stocks was also sparked after a near uninterrupted bull run that began back in april, but is one of the very names that led this rally now the one name to avoid . Thats exactly what Goldman Sachs is warning clients at this hour, avoid not only the big tech winners including microsoft, amazon and alphabet, but goldmans analysts specifically point out apple. First up, i want to bring you this breaking news on the tech titan. Multiple u. S. States are now investigating apple for violating trade practices and deceiving consumers. This according to axios. So add that to Goldman Sachs sell apple call. Shares they say are up 37 over the last three months. Never a problem to take some profits. Goldmans biggest fear is that apple wont reveal an official forecast for next quarter. That could signal a delay in the new iphones release which is supposed to come out in the fall. If they dont release it, that could h revenues. To the floor show. Stephen guilfoyle and phil flynn. Guys, is the tech play including apple running out of gas and if so, whats the better play . Sarge, you first. Its okay if tech goes sideways to slightly lower for a little while. I wouldnt mind that myself even though im a little techheavy. As for the apple call, i think goldman is accurate here. I dont know if i would sell the shares if i was long them but i am willing to pay 345 for these shares. I am short july 31st, 345 puts right now. Thats where im willing to go out on that risk. We get to next week and these puts expire, i will roll them over and get short the august 21st 350 puts because now, the 50day simple moving average for that stock is up to 349. What im willing to pay, where i think support will come in, moves a little bit higher. Goldmans right, there will be pressures on margin, there will be pressures, but you can find a technical gain and expose yourself to risk at a later date and get paid to do it now. Liz i sort of feel like any real meaningful drop in apple, phil, looks like buying opportunity to many an investor out there but where do you stand on this and by the way, we have looked at technology. We spoke yesterday to Adena Friedman and she talked about why technology is looking so good. Many of the biggest of the big tech list on the nasdaq. She made an interesting argument about it. Listen to what the ceo of the nasdaq told us yesterday. Way back in the day you had the railroads, then you had Capital Intensive Companies really dominating the markets, then you had the oil Companies Really coming in and becoming dominant in the market, now you have technology that really has become the dominant driver of economic growth. I think for that reason, they are sitting at the top and they are as large as they are for good reason. Liz phil, you know, i just look at what im doing every day, buying technology, using technology. It is absolutely. So is everybody else in the world, especially in this coronavirus world. We see where this is going. Look at what the iphone has done. Its replaced phonograph records, books, magazines, newspapers, you name it. Shes right. From a shorter term viewpoint, i understand goldmans call but listen, goldman has been negative on apple for a long time. Listen, they are raising their stock price target again, which shows you that they have been behind the curve. They have been betting against apple for some time. Eventually they will be right. Apple is going to get a correction. Listen, if you dont like apple, theres other stuff in the sfas that looks really really good that may be off the beaten path a little bit. For example, if you want an alternative, you want to sell apple shares, buy Something Else that may have more growth, take a look at Motorola Solutions. The old spinoff of Motorola Mobility back in the day. This is a company that has seen impressive growth over the last their profitability has been very very strong. Their stock price took a hit on the coronavirus like everybody else, but if you look at that stock, i think that has a lot more upward potential. But listen, betting against apple, its like betting against tesla the last couple months. Its been a losing game. Liz yeah. Msi, Motorola Solutions up 2. 5 on a rough day for the nasdaq and other tech names here. Last trade was 144. 70. Look, you wouldnt be buying it at the high. If you bought apple a year ago, put only apple in your portfolio, you would be up 86 . You know, i get what goldman is saying, right, sarge . In the end, do you have sort of a side window tech trade there . Oh, sure. I got tons of them. We could go on for awhile. If you like the cloud, you have to like the cloud, businesses have to put money into it going forward. Amazon and microsoft. I trade back and forth on microsoft while always maintaining a long. Never sell amazon again. This is goi tundred years. Semiconductors, okay. You want exposure to amd. Liz okay. We are going to have problems with china. Lockheed martin. We have to defend ourselves. liz all right. Gentlemen, thank you. We are watching the dow start to increase its losses here. Phil, sarge, great to have you guys. The closing bell ringing in 49 minutes. Folks, the dow is now down 414. Small caps down. 25 . Theyre not getting hammered nearly as much as the dow which is down 1. 5 . Yes, we are looking at a vix that is spiking right now about 8. 8 . Little bit of fear in the market. The sprint is on in the halls of congress. Liz Senate Majority leader Mitch Mcconnell is set to introduce a trillion dollar covid stimulus package, as the nation wonders whether any bill might pass, a little recent history. September 29th, 2008, the day the troubled asset relief plan or t. A. R. P. Which was meant to bolster a failing economy after the financial crisis shock, iled to pass in congress, stocks reacted violently. The dow saw a record point drop and the s p cratered, suffering its worst day in 21 years. To blake burman at the white house where i guess at this hour, they are working to avoid a similar fate with part four of the covid stimulus plan. You think there will be a delay . Reporter yeah, we are at a delay at this point because we were expecting this bill from Senate Republicans up on the hill, Mitch Mcconnell, to be put forth by this point. It hasnt been put forth at this point. It goes to show you how republicans are still trying to finalize their plan to put forward to even resume negotiations with democrats, which would be the next hurdle. Everyone wants to get this done. The question is how do you go about doing it. For example, now we know the payroll tax cut which President Trump and this white house, members of his administration have been talking about for months, saying they want, that is not going to be a part of this plan. The president is blaming democrats because of this. For example, he says the following in a tweets earlier today, writing quote, the democrats have stated strongly that they wont approve a payroll tax cut. Too bad. It would be great for workers. The republicans therefore didnt want to ask for it. However, that is only half the story, because theres roughly ten rublican senators against a payroll tax cut as well, while some republicans also have concerns at potentially passing another as you mentioned trillion dollar package. Listen. I have made up my mindl tax. Im perfectly willing to consider it. Its like every other measure in this bill. There are advantages and disadvantages. We knew we would be spending about 1 trillion and that will still be difficult to get a majority of republican senators on board, but i think its feasible. It will be a tradeoff. Reporter still be difficult, will be a tradeoff. Democrats are asking republicans where is your bill, because remember, the white house and Republican Leadership have been saying for more than a month now they wanted to wait until this moment and here we and they are still trying to finalize it. Here was nancy pelosi from earlier today. They said they needed a pause. Well, they still not prepar prepared. You use a pause to prepare. What wem have seen so far fall very short of the challenge that we face. Reporter republican senators had a policy lunch up on capitol hill earlier today. Some came out of that a bill mi have to wait until tomorrow. Well see. Potentially even if then. Liz . Liz well, lets hope history doesnt repeat itself. I was on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange in 2008 when the first t. A. R. P. Vote failed and it was ugly. Blake, thank you. Thank you very much. Blake burman. All right. Liz from xpresspas to express tests. The company that normally offers massages and manicures at airports now changing its business model. Xpre xpresspa has opened its First Express test center where its administering covid19 tests. Its first inairport location now up and running at jfk here in new york. Youre looking at video of this right now. It has the capacity, ready for this, to do 500 tests a day. Will it expand to its 50plus u. S. Locations as more states see record virus cases . Here in a fox business exclusiv we welcome Xpresspa Group ceo doug sassman. I cant imagine being in your shoes in march and watching traffic drop from a million a day to a trickle. When did you make the decision to convert from spas to medical testing . During the month of march, you could see things fall off precipitously and traffic fell week by week, then very quickly day by day, while we were shutting down our spas as we were deemed nonessential use, appropriately. Our chairman came up with the idea to do covid testing and repurpose our real estate that we have in 25 airports around the world. Liz avo. So you guys kick into gear. Tell us what they do. I understand the one at jfk, which is your beta testing one, is about nine rooms wide. People walk in and again, right now you are only doing tsa agents and pilots, correct . We started launching our focus on airline and airport employees. This is the Front Line Work force that we are trying to get back to work and get our airports going. We will be expanding to the public probably in a few weeks. But we offer both types of tests. We do pcr nasal swab testing and also blood antibody testing. People can come in, tsa agents and pilots and custodians and ground crews, and they can get one or both tests, if they indicate different things. We send it to outside labs, the same labs major hospitals use. Liz okay. Im sorry, thats news to me. You are expanding to passengers next week . Or in a couple of weeks . In a few weeks, initially we wanted to start off with just airline and airport employees. But especially as more and more states are putting in quarantines in place, this could play a vital role in giving people the confidence to travel and know they may be able to shorten their quarantine by getting tests when they arrive. But again, its a state by state moving decision now. Liz target. Yeah. I know. I know. Let me show a map right now. Governor andrew cuomo has now multiple, multiple states that are added to this list where if you arrive in new york from any of these states, california, nevada, kansas, nebraska, you have so many cases in those states that you areequired to either test negative or quarantine upon arrival. I was in california. I tested negative in california. I flew back and new york said youve got to test or quarantine. I wanted to be back on television. I want to be on my show and talk to my viewers here so i had to, you know, do backflips to get a quick test. It would be great if people landed and were able to get a test. How quickly do the results come in . The results are two to three days right now. We work with two different labs so whoever has the quickest turnaround time, we send our specimens to. But we hope to bring in some of the faster testing technologies as science develops them more, because it will only improve the service, especially for people returning to their state or going on a trip. They need the results quick to shorten the quarantine. Liz i know its still kind of a beta situation in testing, but looking at whats happening with revenue, you guys were obviously in serious trouble when all that foot traffic went away at all these airports. Tell me what you would anticipate the revenue is under this model versus your old model with the traffic were faced now at airports. Would you be making more as an xpress Testing Center . Its quite different. One, our xpresspa model we are selling Retail Services and people can get a range of times and Addon Services so its quite a business. Xpress check is also good, but we are processing payments through Insurance Companies so theres a certain range of monetization and as we expand to maybe other Testing Services in the future, and build our throughput, like you mentioned, jfk, we can do 500 tests a day. As we get more people traveling and more of the work force back at work, we are prepared for some big numbers. As we plan, you mentioned this as a beta test, we wanted to get the first one off the ground to make sure we could run it in a really safe, efficient way. We feel that confidence now and while we were going from idea to concept to pilot, we are now moving into the rollout stage to get as many open in time for this late fall, which is when travel will continue to pick up but also viruses spread easier in Colder Weather so we want to be available to as many airports as possible. Liz i would love to have you back. Lets say september . Is that a date . Because i want to see how the progressions going and we can compare virus and infection numbers, too. Its still such a huge question mark. Doug, thank you. Good luck to you. Thank you very much. Liz any time. Closing bell, we are going to see that in about 30 minutes and yeah, reeling. We are kind of reeling here. The bulls are hiding. The bears have come out. Dow is down 423. Nasdaq lower by 259. In just about an hour, we are told that secretary of state mike pompeo will address the media, where he is expected to bash the Chinese Government and specifically its leader, xi jinping, saying quote, xi jinpings totalitarian ideology should be something the chinese try to change. Caught in the middle of the crossfire, skyrocketing tensions with china is americas farmers. Concerns now rising that china may not stick to its pledge to buy 36. 5 billion worth of american agriculture products, a promise made in the phase one trade agreement signed back in january. One family is from a wisconsin town, and they have been farming soybeans since 1965. Third generation. He joins me now in a fox business exclusive. Great to have you, tony. Well, youve got beautiful crops behind you. What is your anticipation here . Are you dreading what may happen . Like you said, we have beautiful crops, we have, you know, Great Potential output, our crops look great. We need a place to sell these crops. As far as what were looking forward to, you know, were just going to have to wait and see. I dont know if i would use the word dreading, but trade uncertainty has been with us for a number of years now and what the American Farmer decided to do instead of hanging our heads is we invested through our own money in a diversifying our demand sources. We have increased our demand by selling to more countries, in the middle east, and southeast asia, where we have had a lot of success, then we have also bolstered our domestic demand through biodiesel and bioheat, replacing dirty heating oil, and also by a very New Invention we are very excited about, soybean oil replacing Petroleum Oil in asphalt mixes. As we rebuild this nations infrastructure, we can do it with a sustainable source from americas heartland. Liz well, when the going gets tough, the tough get going. China would say you know what, we did the same thing. We turned to argentinian soybeans instead of the u. S. But we have phase one of the trade deal with china which certainly tamped down some of the simerring tensions but now it appears its happening again. Put aside today and the last week or so. Tell me how life was after the phase one part of the deal. Did you start to see an uptick in the number or the amount of purchasing the chinese made of soybeans . Immediately after, i would say we did not. Maybe some token purchases. But in the last two or three weeks, we have seen a large amount of purchases from china and part of that is seasonality. When the phase one was signed, that was when south america was in the middle of harvest and their beans were in more abundance and their currency was cheaper. So we are hopeful and optimistic that as we enter the second half of the year and the United States enters our soybean harvest, that our soybeans are now the cheapest in the world and south america has, you know, for the most part depleted their exportable supply. Liz i dont think anybody would argue that President Trump had to stand up to the chinese in the trade war. It was ridiculous. They were acting like a third world country, oh, we need extra help and we need all kinds of breaks given, when in essence, they are now a member of the world trade organization, they have got to play by the same rules. They were not. However, in the past year, the number of bankruptcies when it comes to farms, up 23 year over year. How much of this would you say has to do with the trade wars and the tensions because the economy up until the coronavirus was incredibly good and strong. Thats a very hard number to say. It definitely did not hurt help, excuse me, it hurt things, but the most important thing is to remember that we have been dealing with low prices for about seven years now. We have just been americas farmers for the most part have been struggling. We have been just scraping by for seven to eight years and then we throw in trade uncertainty in the middle of that, and that may have pushed some over the edge. Liz did you receive any of the farm bailout that the president had ordered given to farmers over the past year and a half during the trade wars . Yes, we did receive some farm assistance. Liz and if that were to happen again, if we see phase one freeze by the chinese because they are threatening retaliation, would you say that that is something you would like to see once again, is a check from the government . You know, im not sure, you know, what the right answer is but i know what we are going to do as farmers, with our own money is invest in more demand. Try to get more countries, and weve had a lot of success doing it and increase our demand, increase our livestock herd here in the United States, because they consume a large amount of our soybeans. Liz tony, good luck to you and the whole family out there. The soybean crop looks bright green and healthy and beautiful. I love me some soybeans. Thank you so much. Good luck to you. Thank you so much. Thank you. Liz closing bell ringing in 19 minutes. Yeah, we had a new test of the lows for the dow. We are up off that right now. We are down 374. Mlb kicks off once again but the bidding process for the new york mets is apparently in its final inning as bidding groups meet with owners, management as they gear up for final offers. Charlie gasparino has more. Charlie, what are you hearing . Charlie sorry i had to do this from my phone. Im having a little trouble [ inaudible ]. By the way, great segment. I tried to order a chinup stand the other day, it was sold out, which will give you an indication people are doing stuff in their house, not going to the gym as much. Liz i know. I know. Charlie this is a huge story, the mets, because it is up for sale, its owned by a combination of the wilpon family, jeff wilpon, and a Real Estate Investor who was involved in the wilpon family especialli real estate investment. The family fell on tough times because they were involved they invested money with Bernie Madoff and lost some and the team has been in financial straits because of that. Now they have to sell. Heres what we know about the sale. I thought it was cute the way you said final innings. Whoever wrote that. Be that as it may. They are in the final innings. Whats going on now is [ inaudible ] socalled management meetings. In the old days, the bidders would go to the ballpark. Youre not doing that now. The various bidders, essentially three bidding groups, i will get into that in a minute, are meeting with the wilpon family, saul katz and baseball executives. They dont meet with the manager, manager. The guy who will be on the field tonight. They may meet with the general manager. They will have zoom conferences, the luxury suite. They are getting an idea of what they are buying. After a couple weeks, people will be submitting a final, final bid. Whats interesting about this process is its usually a way for bankers to get the price higher. There are beied eidders, cohen, hedge fund investor, [ inaudible ] which basically owns the 76ers [ inaudible ] private equity executives. Then theres arod and jlo who have vinny viola with them [ inaudible ] and mike repole. I tell you, usually [ inaudible ]. We are in the final innings. I think by august or excuse me, by october, not august, by the end of the season, this thing is likely to be done. I guess the real question is, how much steve cohen has got the strong bid. He could bid a lot more. How high does he go. Do they throw in the Sports Network with it. We are coming to the conclusion of this thing. Its not coming tomorrow but its coming. We look forward to the end of october to at least have an idea. I think thats the longest if someone came in today and said i would give you 3 billion for it, i think thats it. I dont think hes going to do that. He doesnt waste it. Thats where we are. I want to make a quick comment, you heard Steve Mnuchin [ inaudible ] today mention how theyre not getting the payroll tax cut.
