CLEVELAND -- As a sergeant first class in the Ohio Army National Guard, my husband, Mike, is often called away from home for days, weeks or months at a time. As a military spouse, my household responsibilities and our child care needs change quickly. Thankfully, I can adapt because I’m a freelancer.
