Petrol and diesel prices were hiked again on Monday, marking a sixth rise in just seven days. Oil Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that the global rates have "gone haywire" due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. After today's rate revision, the petrol price has now increased by Rs 4 per litre and diesel by Rs 4.10 per litre. The rates were kept unchanged for over four months, despite the surge in crude oil price. The rate revision had ended on March 22.
