On July 22, the International Court of Justice rejected Myanmar's arguments that it lacked jurisdiction over charges brought against the Burmese government by Gambia. Almost three years after the case was filed, the court will now be able to hear the case on its merits. But the Chinese judge broke the unanimity of the decision.
