A bitter battle between the Christian right and traditional conservatives for the top spot on the Queensland Liberal National Party’s Senate ticket will be fought on Saturday as the party deals with bigger ideological struggles.
The preselection showdown, a new front in the LNP civil war, will see James McGrath and Amanda Stoker fight for the No.1 spot on the ticket and the six-year job security that it guarantees.
