Reporter this doctor says you only need to have the flu once to undestand the importance of getting vaccinated. Hes seen so many admissions to local hospitals this season. Silver said he checked to see how long patients in eight Northern California hospitals have been vaccinated. 75 of the patients never received a flu vaccine. They are three times more likely to be admitted to the hospital if they are not vaccinated than if they were. Reporter so whys drop in the number of people getting vaccinated this year . Dr. Silver believes it is due what he calls false information regarding the effectiveness of the vaccine at just 10 .
