Because the state Health Department is experiencing technical issues, the count may be underreported. In santa clara county, just passed 1 million tests since the start of the pandemic. Today the county ramps up drivethrough testing at the fairgrounds. Lets get to that as we look at our forecast for today for the south bay reaching up to 77 degrees in east san jose. Well see a few low 80s here and there but mostly 70s for the east bay with hayward reaching 72 degrees and oakland today up to 71. Were also going to see a high of 71 degrees today in redwood city. Along the coastline youll notice the fog returning today. That will keep it cooler there. For the north bay were looking at a high of 79 degrees in ukiah while santa rosa will reach up to about 75 degrees. Were still seeing the High Pressure across the region but its moving away, making way for the storm system to start to move in a little bit closer especially by friday. Notice the wind direction coming around this area of low pressure will bring in an ocean breeze, much more fog and possibly a little bit more rain for the bay area. But a lot of the models have been drying out our rain chances and also keeping a chance of some sierra snow. Let me show you what one computer model is forecasting for snow in the sierra. Looks pretty good here with the possibility of our first significant snowfall of the season possibly up to a foot in some of the upper elevations. Im hoping that really pans out.
