Sure the Doctors Today think im in great shape. I think i want to try doing a rally on saturday night. If we can that we have enough time to put it together but we want to do a rally in florida probably in florida saturday night. Might come back and do one in pennsylvania. In the following night and incredible whats going on i feel so good. Thats President Trump as he was talking on fox news saying that he wants to have a rally tomorrow night even though he has an even tested negative yet. Since covid that he caught the white house doctor though says they seems to be good. He released a letter on the president yesterday saying that hes completed his course of therapy for covid and his condition has remained stable since returning to the white house on monday but again no word whether hes negative or when he tested. Last negative for covid. Well in his interview last night the president also talked about being tested again but didnt say when that last night a test for the virus was in fact thats been an ongoing point thats been attempted to be clarified by various media outlets. Have you had a test since your diagnosis a week ago. Well what were doing is probably the test will be tomorrow at the actual desk as is or isnt a test on the time but they found very little infection or virus. But then he had only that they found that he hadnt know into a greatly with doctors. She said no virus but he was coughing and clearing his throat during that interview. Last night and as well have to see well give you an update if we find out about that test today in. Vice president mike pence had to abruptly cancel a planned trip to indiana today. He was supposed to conduct early voting in indianapolis, but for whatever reason they said plans are changing yeah, they wouldnt say why all they would say is that the Vice President has not tested positive for covid and they say that he and his wife tested negative. Yesterday. But he is going to white house for some reason so the rescheduling everything else. Democratic president ial nominee, joe biden is going dissipate in a town hall on october feet 15th, instead of the by a president ial debate because the president backed out he did not want to do it. On zoom or however you call that one its the president President Trump said that that would have been a waste of time and he was worried that he could have been. Cut off because you remember in the first debate he was able to go on and on the 2 were shouting and then Chris Wallace was shouting trying to get control of things. Biden has called for pushing back the town hall format to october 22nd. The date of the 3rd plan debate. Trump countered saying lets change both of those dates no decision has been made. By the way were going to be talking about the 25th amendment. Yeah that was the big bombshell at the end of yesterdays. A press conference by House Speaker nancy pelosi part of her Daily Press Briefing announcing that they were going to be discussing in some form or fashion the rules that surround the removal of president. Under the 25th amendment. That race course a lot of eyebrows she said shell discuss potential new legislation to create a commission that would allow congress to intervene under the 25th amendment. Currently the 25th amendment allows for president to be removed from office if a majority of cabinet members and the Vice President consider him unable to carry out his duties. Speaker pelosi expressed concern over the president s covid19 diagnosis and his recent behavior. And and young said was young. It is disassociating from reality. It would be funny if it werent so deadly. And his people neighbors around who earn a billing death. The death toll to rise mister president. When was the last time you had a negative test. Before you tested positive. Why is the white house not telling. The country. That important fact about how spread into made a hot spot. Of the of the white house. So what sort of power does the 25th amendment authorized should the president become incapacitated well we turn to political science. Professor William Powell for an explanation. Section 4 of the 25th amendment dictates is that the Vice President and a majority of the cabinet can. Come forward to say no were going to. The president has to relinquish his powers and they will instead be given to the to the Vice President gore to the next in line of succession. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi again set to make her announcement later this morning. Were expecting it in our 7 oclock hour and as soon as we see her beginning to address the cameras there we will bring it to you live. Its been 3 years since the deadly tubbs fire tore through the north bay killing 22 people and burning through more than 36,000 acres, one of the hardest hit areas was the coffey park neighborhood in santa rosa and thats where kron fours will tran is this morning. Theyre still try to rebuild well. They are still rebuilding a lot of homes are back i was here the hours after the fire started and i was here months and months later every day this was empty there was so much just damage as far as the soil because the homes burned to the ground and they were worried about the creek here. Look for yourself look at this there are porch lights on isnt that just wonderful most of the homes along this street are back there are some homes still under construction. Let me show you some video can you believe its been 3 years the fire started on sunday night in calistoga along tubs lane which is why its called the tubbs fire. It chopped. All over this area to the point where got to santa rosa and it forced people to flee for their lives. I was interviewing people in the days afterward they said they could see the fire from their Rearview Mirror as they were leaving their home. They had to evacuate Kaiser Permanente brought in city buses got the patients out of there because the fire was on the backside of Kaiser Permanente but the time it was over 1. 3 billion dollars worth of damage. But they are rebuilding and it took them a little while because they had to be cleared by the Environmental Protection agency because the soil was so toxic that they had to make sure that that to remove the soil and then bring soil do samples and finally they were able to start rebuilding. Its going to be a long time before they are fully backed, but nonetheless there are hundreds of homes that were not here back then that are here now and how they do it. They did it as a team effort. It may seem overwhelming it may seem like a lot and emotionally can be at times but as weve seen in our neighborhood you can get through it dont try to do alone whether that is leading friends or professional health or find a support system of those drones court system heroes or structure and you get through it. James story i want to show you i mention about homes still being built theres one right there you can see the portapotty in front so obviously construction is still being done there. This particular place this is an empty lots of this one hasnt been touched just yet but they are look at that head lights it is wonderful, i havent been here since last year when we were doing the second anniversary it is wonderful to see activity through this particular area as far as the fire the cause of the fire many people thought it was pg and e it turns out it was not pg and e instead it was started by a electrical system from a private company and not pg and e. Back to you all right, thanks a lot. Well. And so stay tuned, were going to show you more and more damage as the sun comes up, its always is here to show you what were seeing out here. Reporting live in calistoga Sarah Stinson kron 4 news. All right, thank you very much sara lets check the weather and see if thats going to be good news for firefighters this weekend. John yeah, it is definitely good news guys were not seeing too much rainfall which could actually hamper the fire fight but were seeing just enough of that drizzle this morning actually around the blaze that its helping to dampen at least round and tomorrow showers going to remain very light to which is going to further damping dampening things so that is definitely good news as far as we go this morning, theres a lot of cloud cover sitting across the bay and not just at the coast a half moon bay, either. But across the rest of the region low pressure area to our west this one that resulted in much more than her cool down in the cloud cover that we have today second one to our north will result in a better chance of a couple of scattered sprinkles tomorrow again this is not going to amount to much more than a sprinkle here there sunday we start to see things drying back out sunshine reappearing and temperatures starting to warm up and it will be the start of a continued warm up gradually through next week that doesnt result in increased fire danger towards the end of next week to keeping notes or not out of the woods just yet just in a brief break from these dry and hot conditions. Todays forecast looking dry aside from the drizzle tomorrow, couple of sprinkles not going to amount to much more just a trace of rainfall here in their 60s for your daytime highs in San Francisco today as well as right along the coastline. As for other spots in the bay, it will be 60s to 70s a whole lot like yesterday was redwood city and seeing carlos each at 72, south bay temperatures also in the low 70s today while 60s and 70s continue into the east bay. If you liked yesterday feel like today. I think a lot of us have been enjoying this little break from the hotter and drier conditions that we had been seeing. Tomorrow well keep that little break going before sunday temperatures start to rise, lots of sunshine. Monday tuesday wednesday. We keep the sunshine around as temperatures continue to climb. This eventually takes us back to the 90s inland by wednesday and thursday. Rob. All right. Thank you john lets check in on the traffic picking up out there but its not a bad commute, lets start off with a bridge deck, well give you some good news first and thats your trip into San Francisco as light quiet delay free and easy 11 minutes here off to the fremont street exit. The Richmond Sandra fell not bad at all, but the traffic is definitely picking up some more folks taking that drive to the north bay but its only 7 minutes for your drive time, heres 92, its always a business right the first start stacking up. So its going to be a little sluggish for you just off and on west of the toll plaza coming out of hayward. But the high rise looking good foster city is looking good no problems into san detail now heres a trouble spot. Its in west oakland on the nimitz we have a crash thats still active 80 south at 7th street, the left lane blocked by a multi vehicle accidents at the top of the ramp there may involve some Police Activity as well so a little heavy out of west oakland on 80 south. You can avoid it by taking 5. 80 east instead that is wide open and trouble free 24 looks great and so does the east shore well check more freeways coming up back to you. Thank you very much rob and we are now 25 days away from the election and one of the most controversial propositions on the state ballot is prop 22. Rideshare companies are looking to reverse a law classifies is that classifies their drivers as employees instead of contractors, prop 22 is a direct response to the highly contested law that granted gig workers employee status and benefits ride share drivers are split over prop 22 supporters say they want the freedom and flexibility of being a contract worker while those against prop 22 want Employee Benefits to remain in place. We dont have any Workers Compensation i was a small on able for war children i was super but for me at that time because of course all around if they dont help me. Well thats one of reasons why im fighting for these a lot of these really support proposition 22 they want the flexibility so you know think youre you know a number of surveys of many of these workers and show 75 or more like to have the this independent model. Fiscal analysts say the prop 22 would bring a minor increase in state income tax paid by app based workers and investors. In the east bay interest in voting is an all time high in Alameda County, the current number of registered voters already exceeds 2016. Almost looked like it had rained last night so the rain chances may be fizzling but Mother Nature is providing other ways i guess can see the low cloud cover over San Francisco this morning and as we make our way through the day less and less of that cloud cover will be noticed with more and more brightness working its way through by the finish of your friday just around the corner air quality remains in range of good in green to moderate in yellow thats actually the way were going to stay through the weekend and into next week to really no big changes in air quality are expected on the worsening side of things norments the better side of things either so settle in for those moderate conditions for a lot of us 50s and 60s for your current temperatures across the board, nice cool start to the day and a nice cool finish the day is just around the corner too as daytime highs today, max out in the low to mid 70s. You could see in this parking lot emergency and power crews are on standby as theyre bracing for another hurricane upon arrival weve seen dozens of businesses and gas stations boarded up as they gear up for another tough weekend of weather. As we passed through baton, rouge traffic was at a standstill as people are evacuating their homes. The National Weather service in lake charles put out flood warnings throughout the area as they measure at least 6 to 10 inches of rain from delta. But this is the second hurricane to hit the area and 6 weeks in parts of lake charles are still damage from more businesses and homes are preparing for the worst in such a short amount of time. And rain is slowly coming down here lake charles we plan to be out here for the next several days to monitor conditions and to see how people are bracing for hurricane delta says theyve this both on air and online for now reporting lake charles dick chatman ill send it back to you. All right, lets check then look at that and our weather here in the bay area morning know our hearts go out to those people on the gulf coast dealing with a historic Hurricane Season. We have historically dry september behind us just the opposite end of the spectrum. So this welcome cool down and even a little bit of drizzle this morning certainly a nice change of pace looking outside from half moon bay, you see cloud cover overhead. Clinicians actually pretty clear as youre making your drive along the coast or elsewhere across the bay area until you head up in the higher terrain where youre actually hitting those low clouds. First area of low pressure to our west this was the one that had brought us that chance of rainfall on friday that chance all but becoming a little bit of cloud cover and some cool weather today as for tomorrow a better chance of a couple of scattered sprinkles but thats all its going to amount to if we see anything Mendocino County northward up into the Pacific Northwest is where that rainfall is going to be concentrated just too far south in the bay area to be getting in the mix on the saturday storms after a couple of sprinkles possible in the north bay tomorrow sunday clearing out temperatures starting to warm up as will gradually happened continuously through next week daytime highs are going to get a little warmer each and every day and eventually by the end of next week so actually back to that heat and that dry weather we go as for tomorrows rainfall potential not going to be amounting to much more than a 100 207 inch thats no more than trace amounts for most areas as for todays daytime highs, its back to the cool stuff a lot like yesterday that fall feel is back today and well stay with us tomorrow too. Temperatures really not changing much from where they were yesterday 60s and 70s for bayside cities today with redwood city and san carlos each at 72. South bay temperatures in the low 70s, san jose at 72 santa clara milpitas and sunnyvale each out 71 60s and 70s for east bay cities with even our inland areas, staying. Below the mid 70s, mostly conquered youll be at 74 today oakland at 68 sonoma and vacaville as well as keach at 73. Well santa rosa at 71 today. Lets get a look ahead at your next 7 days so today tomorrow, staying cool very falllike then come sunday we start to warm up it will be the sunniest day of your weekend. Well monday tuesday and wednesday we keep the sunshine around as temperatures continue to climb. Eventually taking us back to the 90s that we are so familiar with by wednesday and thursday. Robin. Thank you john lets check in on the traffic we have some sluggish spots but most of our bridges look great. So lets head off to one o one were checking your commute across the golden gate there it is 20 minutes novato to San Francisco here at the Richmond Sandra fell its definitely picking up more folks on the road heading into the north bay. Were at 8 minutes and growing off to one o one at the bay bridge still delays just yet its coming a little bit later but so far and tracking friday light conditions into San Francisco. Its not so fun on the nimitz right now theres a multi vehicle accident in west oakland. To south after 7 street, theres a dump truck involved. It may involve some Police Action and suspected drunk driving they have 2 lanes closed on the nimitz so its creating a backup. Thats almost stretching over to the east shore freeway so if youre coming out of emeryville or maybe San Francisco. I think you should cut over to 5. 80 instead of using the nimitz because traffic is at a crawl the south bay looks good 85 at the limit and no problems on 2. 80 heading north from san jose to cupertino back to you. Thanks a lot. Back home for the as though they were eliminated from the playoffs. They could rally a comeback in the astros took it away and now they win the American LeagueDivision Series yeah, lets show you how game for went down things started off pretty good for the as. Weve got ramon oriana here hitting the ball for a threerun home run in the second inning and that gave the as the lead at that point. Unfortunately it just went downhill from there. The as innings 4 through 7 really just couldnt get anything going Houston Astros scored 11 runs in that time and just couldnt muster anything on offense until the 9th the whether it was too late the astros and the as home final score 11 to 6 lets hear from as manager bob now them. Ramones homerun felt like a 1000 run homer the time we feel really good about where were going frankie was pitching really well had good stuff, good below good breaking ball. And then all of a sudden a beginning kind of derailed a little bit and then we just couldnt hold him down after that unfortunately. Its his second again a season over. Hes they dropped series 3 games to one astros and we want to move in on the American League championship the 49 ers are planning dolphins on sunday fans are waiting for the status to see if theyre going to see quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo on the field. We saw him on the field in a limited capacity for practice yesterday. Moving around pretty good nursing a high ankle sprain that he suffered last month in week 2 of the season were not going to know till tomorrow if hes going to be game ready. But tight end George Kittle says he sure looks good. Jimmy looks very handsome. Out in the field still got a rocket arm. Hes still throwing the ball which is a good thing so im excited about those 3 things. Excited about hearing kittle say that i only wish she was wearing his tshirt that shirtless those funny. Sundays game against the dolphins is a levis with kickoff at 01 00pm. All right meanwhile, the raiders there.
