The Santa Clara County medical examiner has no identified the body of the person found floating in the water along the bay trail as 23yearold chuchu ma from Mountain View. Her body was discovered by a bicyclist thursday morning face down in a drainage canal in the bay lands of waterway. We have breaking news out of Southern California where crews are battling a fire on the 18th floor of the Huntley Hotel in santa monica. You can see the flames all the way at the top there. An elderly woman died today after being struck by a vehicle in San Francisco. Police say a blue toyota sedan was heading south on 19th avenue when the vehicle hit the woman. She died at the scene. The accident was reported around 435 near santerre street. The driver stopped and is cooperating with investigators. An investigation is underway to determine what caused the party bus to lose control and clash crash last night injuring everyone on board. It happened after 8 pm in the southbound lanes of highway 101 north of cesar chavez street. Witnesses told investigators the bus began to fishtail before it hit the Center Median , tumbled on its side and skidded across the freeway. All 29 passengers were injured including the bus driver. Four people suffered serious injuries, nine with moderate and 16 others had minor injuries. At least two people remain hospitalized tonight. Chp is looking into whether or not speed was a factor. In oakland lee martinez ktvu fox 2. At least two people are dead after a small plane crashed into a home in san diego. The single engine plane went down in the claremont neighborhood around 440 this afternoon, that is the video there, the accident caused the home to completely burst into flames. Shortly after the plane took off the pilot reported catastrophic engine failure. The plane crashed about a half mile from montgomery field. Four passengers were on board, two were killed, two others hospitalized. Officials say no one was in the house when the plane crashed but a pet dog was killed.
