They found the suspect wanted on felony warrants inside the hotel. The perimeter has been set up since 6 00 yesterday. The team has gone in and out of the lobby. The police were also seen outside. They are have isolated the suspect in one room and evacuated the surrounding guest rooms on the second floor. It is unclear if the suspect is armed. I cant get into this persons criminal history or what the warrant is for but at this point, we have information to lead us to believe that forcing a confrontation would probably not end well. Reporter they have been talking to him all night and morning but police say they have not made much progress. Many guests on the second floor had to spend the night in the lobby. When we came back around 6 or 7, all of the Police Outside of the hotel told us that there was a hostage situation and that was it. We wanted to go to the rooms but they said it was not possible so we stayed in the lobby. Reporter police could not confirm if the suspect is alone in the room or not or if he has made any demands. In south san jose, ktvu tv news. Police are also investigating a deadly shooting near charlotte drive just outside of an apartment complex. Of that 5 from Santa Clara County and 4 from monteray county and 3 from santa cruz county. People infected with the flu can pass it along just by breathing. What is the culprit . This one seems to be particularly strong and maybe it transmissability is more. Reporter it appears the number of flu patients is beginning to level off at hospitals but that doesnt necessarily mean the crisis is over. Sometimes we can have another wave on the way. Reporter experts still recommend people get the flu shot. The suspect of a deadly crash in antioch is due in court in the next hour. Last night, a candle light vigil was held for the two little girls that died in the crash. Family members say they are struggling to come to terms with the crash. This is a nightmare that is unbelievable. It is hard to come to reality, but very unfortunate. Reporter the girls were riding with their mother when a man in a stolen white truck ran a redlight and slammed into them on Somerset Road near highway 4. The suspect 23yearold noe saucedo was trying to avoid a deputy at the time of the crash. Sheriff Officials Say although the deputy had turned on his lights and siren, there was no active pursuit at the time. Officials have charged saucedo with one count of murder and another will likely follow this week. The girls mother suffered numerous injuries but is expected to survive. The couple accused of torturing their 13 children in Southern California is now being investigated by homicide detectives.
