Liberty Bank names new CIO, executive vice president

MIDDLETOWN - David W. Glidden, president and CEO of Liberty Bank of Middletown, Connecticut, today announced the hiring of Hope Utterbeck, a longtime, highly-regarded IT leader who joins Liberty as executive vice president and Chief Information Officer, according to a statement.
Utterbeck, who has extensive multi-industry IT experience, comes to Liberty from Webster Bank, where she held the position of Senior Vice President and Director, Business Applications since 2018.
Utterbeck’s extensive IT career began more than 25 years ago with General Electric, holding key leadership roles including CIO of Sourcing & Enterprise Systems, VP of Corporate Staff Systems and IT Digitization Team leader for Global Commercial Applications. From 2012 to 2018 at GE Capital, she was VP/Global IT Operations Leader and then VP of Enterprise Data Platforms, according to the statement.
