A non-governmental organisation, Great Patriotic for Better Initiative, has called on the National Assembly to commence an investigation into the alleged abandonment of projects in Ondo State by the Niger Delta Development Commission.
It decried the high rate of abandoned projects by the NDDC in the riverine areas of the state.
The Executive Director of the group, Mr Biyi Poroye, said despite the huge budgetary allocations the commission had continued to receive, there was little or nothing to show for it in Ondo State.
While giving the contractors handling the affected projects in the state a 30-day ultimatum to return to site, Poroye vowed to expose the identities of the contractors if they failed to return to site.
