JOHNSTOWN — Fulton County is ready to commence engineering for the county landfill’s planned massive vertical expansion project.
Department of Solid Waste Director David Rhodes informed the Board of Supervisors’ Public Works Committee recently that he is ready to distribute requests for proposal for engineering the project. The committee authorized the RFP, which the full board will review Monday. Proposals would be due Feb. 24, with the county awarding a bid in March.
“We’d like to get that going as soon as possible,” Rhodes said.
Engineering for the landfill expansion is included in the county’s 2021 Capital Plan, an estimated $80,000 expenditure. The RFP was developed by Rhodes.
