Texas prisoner set for execution says sentence is based on false testimony

Brent Ray Brewer's lawyers asked for the execution to be halted, but an appeals court dismissed the attempt without reviewing the argument - saying it should have been raised previously. Brewer was sentenced for a murder in 1990.
