Here's a few things you might have missed in the wide world of racing over the past week.
QUIRKY (from abroad)
There are form turnarounds, and then there are form turnarounds.
Eight-year-old gelding Van Gerwen can certainly mix his form, but last week he really flipped it on its head.
Last Monday, he finished 13th of 14, beaten 10-1/2 lengths by Khabib in a 1000m race at Beverley when sent out at 22-1.
Just six days later, he turned the tables on Khabib by some 13L, when knocking him off in a 1000m race at Pontefract by 2-1/2L when sent out at 6-1.
