Torrance to build monument for Japanese Americans, others interned during WWII

The memorial will include a triangular plaza and 12 black granite veneer walls. All walls will be equipped with LED lighting. The plan for the memorial also calls for a 25-foot flag pole with night-time lighting and two areas for educational display panels.
