clinton's impeachment. how would you what's unfolding now with then? >> it was pretty much a forgone conclusion then that bill clinton would not be convicted. the senate was a little less partisan than it is now. you have to remember five republican senators voted against convicting president clinton. today i think, frankly, no -- it's -- no republican is going to vote to acquit trump and every democrat is going to vote to convict trump. so it's more partisan now than then. >> there are vulner senate republicans facing reelection in swing states. you were right in their shoes. montana-gone for dole over clinton. how do you decide what to do in that situation? >> it sounds corny but you do what's right.
