This as dhs sends a new request to the pentagon for 300 to 400 new troops no. Final decision on that. You are talking historically 70 to 90 of those we were arresting we could quickly return to contiguous mexico today seeing up to 83 of those coming across the border from the northern triangle and about 63 of those are family units and children. Which we basically have no consequence that we can apply that group. So, we see these numbers continue to rise with the outdated laws that we currently have in place. We need changes there so we can apply a consequence to be able to affect that demographic. Brian chief, what you are saying in a very deliberate way is we solved the mexicans coming across the border issue by saying that you are going right back. If we tell these people just because they dont have guns and fixed bay net bayonets thaty have to go back and do it the right way it will begin to stop the flood. Right now there is a flood the way is we hold them 20 days and let them go. We are letting in a million a week basically into the infrastructure of our country. Like i said before, there is no consequence that we can apply to this group currently. Were overwhelmed. Something close to 32 trillion taking 155 Million People off of Health Insurance and lumping them with others who already have medicare is transformational. Steve a lot of the people like their private healthcare. Absolutely. Steve meanwhile Elizabeth Warren has suggested debtfree college 1. 35 trillion over 10 years. What about that . This is the new litmus test for progressives. Interesting to see how the promise of opportunity for college has quickly become a guarantee to be able to get there and get there out of debt. Other candidates like Bernie Sanders, they want to make Community College and four year normal traditional state colleges free. But what Elizabeth Warren wants to do, which is really much more generous. Forgive as much as 50,000 student debt for anyone who has graduated and who is making less than 100,000. So, if you havent paid off your Student Loans if she becomes president , i mean, you might be in line. Steve if you are a cleaning student of age, thats somebody you might think about voting for in the primary. Gee, i wonder if thats a coincidence. Meanwhile, andrew yang has been in this studio and he told us about his universal basic income where people just get free money. It would cost close to 4 trillion a year. But, philip,. What is interesting about this is that what andrew yang wants to do is he wants to cut a check to every american who is over 18 years old for 1,000 each month every month. Again, its no longer guaranteed opportunity. Instead this is guaranteed income. Its incredibly expensive and one of those things where a voter might say to themselves yeah, i would like an extra thousand dollars a month. He already qualifies for the debate. This is not just a fringe idea anymore. Steve one of the universal things though, philip, is to pay for it, its essentially lets tax the rich some more. Absolutely. Its interesting because you see candidates like Elizabeth Warren say that they are going to pay for, you know, their Debt Free College plan by taxing the rich. Also going to pay for universal child care by taxing the rich as well. At some point you have to ask yourself is there going to be a big enough grab bag of taxes and fees to actually pay for all of this. Youve got to change with it. Jedediah thats a great point. Dont expect your degree to save you. You know, the Technical Knowledge that you get in college is going to be outdated very, very quickly. If you want to stay up on whats happening in the marketplace, thats going to happen on the job. So be more interested in proving what you can do when you are working than simply telling somebody oh i have a degree in this, therefore you should hire me. Thats not going to work. Employers dont want to hear that. Jedediah what about number four do learn through work . Yeah. So employers are going to expect to you learn on the job. Its not really about what you learned in college. Its what you are able to learn afterwards. So whatever job you are doing, Pay Attention to how technology is changing in that field and try to figure out okay, so what role can i play given where technology is going . Its not about education when you are young and working when you are old. Its education and work all throughout your career. Jedediah this one you have is interesting dont idolize stem. Science, technology, engineer, math. You will have to have those skills in this economy. Its not enough. Its not just a function of what we can do. Its what we should do. Thats an important question that only a human can ask because only a human can assign value.
