Incumbent senator mary landrieu, republican and rob maines all on that show thats it for the show fair balanced and unafraid. Greta is on now. Special report online. This is a fox news alert. There is breaking news in the case of the missing of university coed. A Police News Conference to start any moment. And right now you are looking at the podium where we do expect to get that major development. First, our on the record team is on the ground investigating. As we await that News Conference. Lets get to our team in charlottesville, Griff Jenkins joins us. What do you expect to hear at this press conference . Hi, greta. The expectation tonight is that there made be an announcement of an arrest. Certainly in this room now as we wait for this press conference which has not started a lot developed today, of course, we know Jesse Matthew hired former Commonwealth Attorney jim cambla. He was appearing in his office late this afternoon. Didnt really talk to reporters much. Just said he had indeed been hired and ted and i spoke with chief earlier in his office. He, of course, did not tell us about an arrest. He said that his focus was on looking for hannah brown. Tmz said arrest warrant out ofor him. Do you know when whether he surrendered or Police Caught up with him. Greta, we dont know tip at this stage. Its more likely than not that he surrendered in light of the fact that he has an attorney. Attorney jim camables. Now as we know there was two charges, a warrant for a reckless driving out. Cambos has been his attorney since saturday. Those warrants were issued monday. I would have thought that he would have turned himself in pursuant and basted upon the demeanor warrants, greta. Because certainly if you go on before the court, based upon felony now, its more likely than not that he would be seen as a risk. And they may not let him out on bond. Probably wont make bond anyway. He will with, what we want to know is where is the coed and whether there is any information to are her whereabouts, whether the police are going to tell us if they have any information. Griff, he has not been charged with murder, has he . No. He hasnt. He has been charged with abduction with intent to defile. Since we dont know the details of the details of the evidence recovered from the apartment or in the car. We know that evidence was Strong Enough to warrant the charge of this abduction with intention to defoul which is a class 22 felony. One thing that i asked the chief in his office today was, do you have anything that suggests that Hannah Graham knew Jesse Matthew prior to meeting on the mall that we have all seen in the surveillance, and he would not answer that question. You know, ted, when we have missing people for a couple days, and this has been apparently some wonderful young woman, typical college student, not the kind that would sort of just take off and go, and so we know, i always have such a bad feeling about, i suppose many viewers do, that this one is not going to turn out well. She could still be alive. She could still being held some place. I just hope i hope this one is much different than what i am expecting. Well, greta, you know, you and i over the years have covered quite few of these missing person cases. And we have always hoped for the best. And the only one that comes to mind right away that i can remember where it really was the best and that was the Elizabeth Smart case. We knew that she was missing. We thought that she was no longer here on this earth and that case turns out for the best. Were certainly hoping for the best here, but as you and i know this longer that this goes on that she is missing, meaning Hannah Graham, the more likely, more or less that she may not be with us any longer. But, there is always optimism. There is always hope. I have got to tell you with dealing with the chief of police down here, who is one of i would say one of the best chief of police in america, and he is viciously and zealously trying to bring hanna graham home. Not only for america but to her family. Her family who is suffering, greta. Indeed. And in the case viewers just tuning in. We are waiting for the police to make announcement. Disappearance of the university of Virginia College student. Of course, there is also a lot more news we have ready tonight. Including isis and the possibility of a lone wolf. So we have a lot to report. We are waiting for this press conference thats supposed to start at 7 00 with a big announcement in the case. Griff, in case people arent familiar with the disappearance of this coed, take me back. Give me just a thumbnail sketch of what we know about her disappearance. What we know is that Hannah Graham, if he we just our viewers tuning. In she was leaving a sorority, some apartments, party of sorts last friday night. This is now, of course, a week or more longer. And she passes through the bar area of mcgradys pub and ends up on this pedestrian mall which has been the focus of all of her disappearance. There are the surveillance videos. Last known place Hannah Graham was. She met, we know from the video, Jesse Matthew and went to it a bar off that pedestrian mall area where we have been all week. And in a bar called templo. We know they left together. The big question is what happened next . Greta, as we do await this press conference, and expect news of an arrest to be announced, you will remember from the warrant wanted poster, the warrant that went out for him, there is full extradition. So that means that if he was arrested out of state, he will be extradited back to virginia. We will expect to have him arraigned here, i would assume tomorrow. His lawyer, he is being represented again by a former Commonwealth Attorney jim camlos would not tell us where his client was. Clearly he knows because he was hired on saturday. Now, i mention that because one of the interesting wrinkles in this case is that Jesse Matthew walked into the Police Department here in charlesville to meet with chief Timothy Longo on saturday with his mother. Then he left. He had come to ask for an attorney, a name was provided. We now know that is jim camla. And mr. Matthew left with his mother. And sped off after attorneys were following him and because of protocol, the authorities did not arrest him and pull him over because they didnt have reason to at that time. And he has been missing since that saturday. So, just to recap, you got friday night. You have got young Hannah Graham, 18 years old. Second year leaving, some say, perhaps intoxicated, ended up meeting Jesse Matthew on the mall at 1 00 a. M. On saturday morning. And then by saturday afternoon, Jesse Matthew has sped out of sight and has been missing ever since as we await here in this room in charlesville for the announcement from chief longo. Obviously. This News Conference is not starting on time. Griffin and ted. We will be coming to you in charlottesville as soon as it does happen ted, griff, if you will just stand by, and, of course, we will come to that and well go back to it as soon as it happens. This is a fox news alert. Just moments ago, our powerful u. S. Military pounding isis again, right now our Fighter Pilots are returning to todays mission. The target Oil Refineries and thats not all. On the record will take to you Jennifer Griffin at the pentagon just minutes. New and growing fears of a terror attack in the United States. Fbi and Homeland Security putting out a joint bulletin warning the air strikes in syria and iraq could increase the risk of an attack on america. Fox news chief intelligence correspondent Catherine Herridge joins us. All right, catherine. You have seen this five page bulletin. We were able to obtain the bulletin through a confidential source. Five pages in length. Its bottom line is that these air strikes in iraq and syria are reducing the likelihood of a successful attack in the United States by a foreign terrorist organization. But, at the same time, its increasing the likelihood of people here in the u. S. Where sympathizers, with isis, or with al qaeda, to act on their own. So that is sort of the double edged sword here. What i was hung up on yesterday, the report was out of the government is that they that this group, that was the khorasan had gone from plotting to planning to operational. What i havent gotten all the reports out of the government is it still operational . Whats the story . Sure we hit a couple buildings but is it still operational . It doesnt take long to take down a plane. Thats a good point. What i would say is based on our reporting is that the group had moved to a stage where they were testing explosive components. That was sort of the next step to putting them on an aircraft. What the attacks or the military strikes had done in the shortterm is that its disrupted their operations. It could be extremely temporary, this disruption. But they have had to now fear for their own safety and security as opposed to focusing on their plotting and training. Except that they can also be the lone wolfs, people angry and sympathetic. Not that im saying we should have taken out khorasan the group but we may have enraged a lot of crazy people. That is a risk though, its unlike delay a single event will propel someone to act here in the United States. Its very he cumulative. What they also expect in the shortterm is that people that are radicalized in this country will continue to go to syria and iraq rather than launch attacks inside the United States. But this is their best assessment. This is not. This is guessing. I mean for the most part. I say its more than just a guess. Its more artful than that but this is their best guest. Guess. I will give you that. Catherine, thank you. You are welcome. Should you be worried that there will be a lone wolf attack right here in the United States . Minnesota Michele Bachmann joins us. Should would he be worried about this lone wolf . Absolutely we should. Because we see that we have a very determined, intentional, evil enemy that is seeking to destroy the United States. They have stated that over and over again. The leader of the Islamic State is a guy named baggedy. And baghdadi said to the United States in january that soon we will be in direct confrontation. We are with you. We are watching you. Woe are with you. All right. That is isis, which is land grabber, want the state khorasan is this other thing. Since Catherine Herridge reported on this last week it went over my head i must admit. Now reporting on it im paying attention. Thats a group that attorney general eric holder has said about he has known about for two years. We have known about the Khorasan Group for a long time. We knew about the Islamic State and the Khorasan Group. They are a subsidiary of al qaeda. The al qaeda franchise in syria, greta, is the gentleman bat al nusra front. Thats their name. Target rich environment. Its. This americans with american passports in syria. Its the epicenter of jihad in the world. And europeans that have pass pordz. Western passports. Thats why its so incredibly important that when an american citizen goes to join a terrorist organization, they not be allowed to return to the United States. We need to pull their passport and start the process of denaturalization. And were not doing that. We are not doing that. How do you make the decision . Owned you dont want to start on the other hand you dont want to start a panic and on the other hand the American People want to know about these groups. How do you decide what to tell its and what not to. Intelligence cant be described to the American People because the enemy would have it what you need to do is let the American Public know that there is an elevated risk of our safety. Thats why its very important that we need to protect ourself both from legal and illegal entry of potential terrorists. We have to pull their passports, greta, and not let them have legal entry. Today, our government allows american citizens with american passports, who have joined the terrorist organizations to come back into the United States. Thats madness and that has to stop. Congressman, nice to he so you. Good to see. You right now our u. S. Military is very busy. They are striking isis. Jennifer griffin live at the pentagon right now. Jennifer . Greta, not long ago, u. S. And Arab Coalition fighter jets returned from a new round of air strikes in Eastern Syria. Im told the targets included about a dozen modular Oil Refineries used by isis for fuel and to finance their activities. Now, Oil Refineries produced about 2 million a day for isis. The equivalent of 300 to 500 barrels of oil, according to u. S. Officials. The goal of the mission was to leave the refineries intact but to strike the support facilities inhabited by isis. Among those flying with the coalition, major miriam, she is the First Female Fighter Pilot in the united arab emirates. Flies m16 and team leader. Her presence will send a powerful message to isis. Also in the coalition, the saudi crown princes son, one of 8 saudi pilots flying 815 bombing runs against isis. They have received Death Threats on twitter. In Eastern Syria today. More air strikes, jordanian Fighter Pilots dropping bombs against 8 isis vehicles around the iraqi border town. This area in Eastern Syria has been a staging area for foreign fighters and a base for isis for some time. U. S. War planes and navy vessels remain poised in the region for more strikes tonight and in the days to come in iraq and syria. Today, the dutch government committed six f16 warplanes to the fight against isis in iraq. The netherlands will send two reserve jets. And 2 auto pilots and support staff to support Iraqi Kurdish forces, australia also is sending warplanes to iraq. European countries have limited the use of their air power to iraq where the Government Asks for outside help, these countries do not believe that the u. S. And five arab partners have International Mandate as of yet to fly over syria. That could pose a problem for the president , greta. The British Parliament votes on friday as to whether to join the Bombing Campaign inside syria. Jennifer, thank you. This is a fox news alert. Another beheading at the hands of isis. This time its not a journalist, not an aid worker but a tourist. French president fran sway confirming today the 55yearold tourist was in fact beheaded after being kidnapped in algeria by Extremist Group linked to isis. Released a video. Isis saying they executed the french tourist in retaliation for frances air strikes in iraq and syria. As noted two american tourist and the one french tourist beheaded, a british aide worker was beheaded last week as well. David cammeron made plain what he wants to do. Calling the British Parliament to meet this friday. In the meantime the Prime Minister in new york to speak at the u. N. That will be tonight. Will rons speech sound anything like president obamas earlier today. Director of the Thatcher Center for freedom, nice to see you now. Nice to see you, greta. Before i ask you about the Prime Ministers speech and comparing to president obamas. Im curious, this whole idea of a lone wolf, that includes the u. K. I mean, there is a lone wolf out there, and i dont know if we are warning people or being alarmists. But if there is one out there, england has to worry. Yeah, i dont think its i think there are plenty of lone wolfs in britain as well. Threat. In britain 2,000 individuals who have links to al qaeda operating in the United Kingdom at this time. At least 500 britains have gone over to iraq and syria to fight with isis. There is a huge domestic Terror Threat that britain is facing. Its also a threat that the United States faces as well. Let me ask you about Prime Minister going to speak, cammeron. And you heard president bushs speech today. Compare and contrast. What do you expect to hear differently from the Prime Minister . Well, i hope its going to be a tougher speech than the one president obama gave today which i thought was rather underwhelming. This was a speech by a u. S. President who really doesnt have the kind of gravitas, i think, of a Ronald Reagan or a Winston Churchill or a margaret thatcher. I think president obamas speech meandered all over the place. Poorly written in parts and went far too long and short on detail. Really didnt identify the nature of the enemy we are fighting. We are fighting against islamist terrorists and we are also fighting a war. Barack obama did not rear to this as a war. We are fighting a war against a brutal and barbaric enemy that we must defeat. How do you think that president obama and Prime Minister cammeron, how do they get along . What do you think is the conversation those two would have. On a personal level, they do get along fairly well. Now, having said that i do think a lot of british people view president obama as antibritish, after all, he began his presidency by throwing a bust of Winston Churchill out of the oval office that was met with outrage in britain. He then supported argentina over the Falkland Islands situation. And i think Hillary Clinton a huge part of the blame here as well. Standing shoulder to shoulder with argentina over the falklands viewed as hugely insulting by the british. In addition to that, the Obama Administration did not send a single official to attend the funeral of lady thatcher. This was seen as well. Why didnt he do that . Why would he have done that . You are dealing with an administration that doesnt attach a great deal of importance to alliances, which is why its taking a considerable amount of time to build up an International Coalition to confront isis. You are also dealing with a presidency that i think has been very dismissive towards britain on many fronts. Dismissive towards a number of u. S. Allies including israel and poland to name just two other allies. You you have a president who hasnt devoted a great deal of attention in terms of building up american alliances. And absolutely vital that america has partners in this epic fight against islammist terrorism and against isis in particular. If its any consolation on 9 11, it was Queen Elizabeth who played i think she played God Bless America or some prick song. I should remember the song, but it was much appreciated. Absolutely. Friday, the Parliament Going to go along with Prime Minister cammeron and join the air strikes . I think parliament will vote overwhelmingly in favor of air strikes in iraq. And the british people, of course, are outraged by the beheading of british in isis. They are going to be supporting very tough measures to be taken. Thank you. Thank you. This is a fox news alert. We have breaking news out of charlottesville, virginia. On the records Griff Jenkins is here. Griff . The arrest of Jesse Matthew. We can confirm the arrest. We are still waiting for this press conference. We are are actually waiting for the fbi agent special agent in charge from richmond to arrive. We expect this in the next five minutes. We now can confirm Jesse Matthew is arrested and in custody. We believe that it may be from out of state. We will bring you more as we have it. Griff, is there any discussion about where is Hannah Graham . There is no we know nothing about where Hannah Graham is. We only know that chief longo is still looking for her and expect him to make that plea again tonight. President obama praised islam at the u. N. Did he forget how they treat women . Thats coming up. Not to be focusing, again, on my moderate my goal was to finally get in shape. To severe chronic plaque psoriasis. So i finally made a decision to talk to my dermatologist about humira. Humira works inside my body to target and help block a specific source of inflammation that contributes to my symptoms. In clinical trials, most adults with moderate to Severe Plaque Psoriasis saw 75 skin clearance on humira. And the majority of people were clear or almost clear in just 4 months. Humira can lower your ability to fight infections, including tuberculosis. Serious, sometimes fatal infections and cancers, including lymphoma, have happened; as have blood, liver, and nervous system problems, serious allergic reactions, and new or worsening heart failure. Before treatment, get tested for tb. Tell your doctor if youve been to areas where certain fungal infections are common, and if youve had tb, hepatitis b, are prone to infections, or have flulike symptoms or sores. Dont start humira if you have an infection. Set a new goal today. Ask your dermatologist about humira. Because with humira clearer skin is possible. It makes me happy to i like feeling smart. Internet essentials from comcast has brought lowcost Internet Access to over 1. 4 million lowincome people at home. Internet essentials helped me progress in my schoolwork. It helped my grades move higher. Today its the largest Broadband Adoption program in america. It helped me a lot. Comcast. Helping to bridge the digital divide. President obama at the u. N. Today vowing to defeat what he called a network of dietl. Some critics say parts of his speech seemed modeled and confusing. Good evening, sir. Good evening. Im not sure what these speeches are about anyway. We have them every year great pageantry. What did you think of the president s speech today. I thought it was a huge opportunity. It was by and large very abstract speech, talking about understanding and negotiation and people that ma touring above religious prejudice, things like that. All of which will happen in about a thousand years. And he dealt with the isis threat in a cursory fashion, halfway through the speech and said absolutely nothing new. Now, everybody is saying how he called on the world to come together to fight isis. But there was nothing new. There was no news in that speech about isis. I think it was a blown opportunity. With everybody there watching the worlds attention, he could have gone a lot further and explained what we were doing and why and built up the coalition that he did have something to say about. So, i think it was more of an indication of how the president will act over the next two years in National Security. Thick on multilaterrism and rhetoric, very thin on substance. I am about to Say Something that i think you will agree because you i have listened to you a lot. The thing thin on is iran and Nuclear Weapons ambition. Because while we are obviously obsessed with isis and should be. I mean, there is a lot going on there is, iran keeps moving forward with this Nuclear Weapons program. Israel is obviously very concerned about it and the whole world should be. I think president obama is still chasing after president rouhani and incredibly jealous this evening having seen the picture ofme minister cammeron meeting with rouhani today. The president has not given up on a meeting here. Remember last year the embarrassing spectacle of a car of rouhani fly back. Our president desperately calling him on his cell phone so they could have a conversation. I think the president is obsessed with the idea he can negotiate a satisfy resolution to the iranian Nuclear Weapons program. They are proposing else of a deal that would essentially leave irans program unimpeded because the president is so desperate to say i solved this problem by negotiation. Im very worried about that i dont think he would do a thing in a speech like this that might in any way impair the possibility of that negotiated deal. I dont see how israel lets that happen the Nuclear Weapon program in iran. I mean, Prime Minister netanyahu has been very plain about this that this is the game changerred in the whole middle east if iran gets a Nuclear Weapon. I mean, it completely they are already threatened. I would think so, too. I think israel should have struck irans Nuclear Weapons program five years ago, frankly. Because every day that goes by means more of the program is hidden. More of the program might be in north korea. It gets more and more difficult for the israelis, perhaps even for us to use a preemptive military strike. I think netanyahu is under enormous pressure, explicit and implicit by the Obama Administration and for whatever reason they havent struck, i think the moment may be slipping away. All right. Lets talk about the whole idea of these speeches. He love watching them. I know all these president s speak. What really is gained by this . Im not saying we should stop it but whats the point of all of this . New yorks economy benefits. Thats one concrete accomplishment. Really this opening of the general assembly, there is a lot of pageantry. There is some substantive speeches. The real work occurs in private meetings all over new york among president s and Prime Ministers, Foreign Ministers and the like. Its incredibly efficient way to do a lot of business with everybody gathered together in one city. And not much is made of that in public. I dont think thats a reason to jam up traffic in new york for a week. But thats really what happens. There are a lot of behind the scenes negotiations. I would have thought that the president would have taken advantage of that, too. To make some more announcements but so far he hasnt. Behind the scenes so what are we getting behind the scenes . I have seen the public speech, you know, what are we getting out of this behind the scenes . Well, its not clear because we have been spending our time on climate change, a threat to National Security, tomorrow we are going to talk about the ebola virus as a threat to National Security. And the real threats to National Security, like the iranian Nuclear Weapons program have kind of slid by. Its i just think overall we will see this week as the beginning of the president in his last two years implementing his belief that the United States is safer in the world with a strong United Nations, strong Multilateral Institution and less reliant on an assertive national defense. All right. Well, i think a lot of these topics are important. I happen to think ebola is really important. Thats true but it isnt a threat to National Security. Actually the first ebola patient. First ebola person who gets on a u. S. Air or united flight into laguardia begins to become more of a a problem. The thing is, i think we are pretty capable. We could probably handle all of it im trying to figure out what are we actually getting done about ebola or getting done about other aspects of National Security . I just see it as sort of an interesting discussion as we watch these president s. But im not sure it really advances any purpose. Greta, you sound so cynical. You sound as though the only thing that happens at the United Nations is talking. Who would ever say such a thing. Let me ask you let me get back to the president s speech then. He made some domestic references. International speech. One of them get heated about. He mentioned ferguson crisis this summer. Is that does that, you know, should he mention domestic issues . I think there is sometimes a place for it it look, with respect to the ferguson, missouri situation. You know, ambassador. Very important. This is a fox news alert. Police announcing an arrest in the case of missing uva student Hannah Graham. Police chief longo at the podium now. In charge of the Richmond Field Office field of investigation. You have heard me say for the last week that weve had very critical partners in this investigation and the fbi was an important part. Were here tonight to announce that because of the collaborative efforts of the federal bureau of investigation, and state and local Law Enforcement across this nation, Jesse Matthew is in custody in galveston, texas. Now, we wont go into the circumstances that led to that custody taking place, but by the grace of god and the good work of the galveston Sheriffs Office, it took place. And so the extradition process is currently underway. And once that comes to a completion we have some Additional Information to share with you. So we dont, at present, have any information as to what might have prompted mr. Matthew to head to that part of the country. Certainly thats something that well consider as we go through our investigative process. That might take several days. But, much like last night, pause we are not at liberty to say, but only so much we are not going to be taking your questions tonight. But we wanted to share the information. I know many of you have heard this almost instantaneously it has started to hit twitter and other media sources. And we certainly got your questions over the last hour. I apologize for not being prompt in answering them. We wanted to have some information back and forth shared between us and the fbi and certainly to give adam and i the opportunity to let you hear this from us. So, once again, i want to express my sincere appreciation to our fbi partners. And Sheriffs Office in gavelston, texas. I spoke to the sheriff and expressed my appreciation to him and asked that he. [broken audio] ask adam to come to the podium very briefly and make some remarks. Good evening. Well, we have been listening to the press conference and news uva that the missing student that there has been an arrest. President obama, of course, praising islam at the United Nations today but negated to mention islams treatment of women. The United States is not and never will be at war with islam. Islam teaches peace, muslims the world over aspire to live with dignity and a sense of justice. And when it comes to america and islam, there is no us and them. There is only us because millions of Muslim Americans are part of the fabric of our country. So should president obama have mentioned islams bad record when it comes to how women are treated . Fox news contributor lisa joins us. Nice to see you, lisa. He had some praise for muslims. Im sort of curious. I always listen to hear if anyone mentions how women are treated. Let me ask you a question. Should he have mentioned that . He should have mentioned it you know, this is its paradoxical. He doesnt help the cause of moderate muslims around the world when he fails to call it what it is. I mean, what do you say to the young girls that were abducted by boko haram. Many of them were muslims. What do you say to the family of Miriam Ibrahim in sudan who was held in prison for christianity. What do you say to all the women around the world who are the victims of islam. This is just a continuation, ing in new. Continuation of the president putting his ideology before leadership. Is there a difference in terms of how radical islam and moderate muslims, moderate islam treat women . Absolutely. And it should be because those people, a lot of these moderate muslims are victims to the way that sharia law is imposed upon them. They are victims to the way this extremism effects them. Lets talk about, you know, the the war on women. Right . I want to understand a second. Moderate muslims treat women, how . I mean, are you saying that they treat women badly because they are victims of extreme or if, you know,. Because society. They are victims of their societies. If you talk about inheritance laws in these countries that are imposing sharia law on their citizens. If you talk, about you know, in court, one woman is equal to half a man in terms of testimony, in terms of being a witness. In terms of divorce laws, a woman cant divorce her husband. And if she does, custody of the children goes to the man. And this is something that goes across the board. President obama would take the time to differentiate and talk about not to exonerate and not to say that islam hassing in to do with this. But to say this is islam but its extreme form of islam. Moderate muslims around the world would have the opportunity to come out and say, you know what . They have hijacked our religion. Talk about the real war on women. To really say look at the women raped and taken as sex slaves. Look at all these women that are really victims. And he is not allowing for that instead, is he continuing with this narrative of white washing islam. If you look back at the Boston Marathon bombing where he didnt want to use the word terrorism. If you look at the fort hood shooting, he didnt want to use the word terrorism when someone is running around yelling ala akbar how can it be work place violence if you look at the benghazi attack. Across the board he is choosing ideology over really talking about what here is the issue. Lisa, thank you for joining us. My pleasure. And the f22, an amazing fighter jet just made its combat debut as it struck syria. What is so special about the f22 . Well, i chased an f22 in the backseat of an f16 and yes, there is video. Also has the capability to do airtoground precision strikes. But it has extraordinarily sensor package on board. In this case in syria which has a good air defense system, it has the capability of really sense whether its you know, what its doing and communicating that to the other assets in the area. So it brings so much to the battlefield, that its good to see that were using it. You know what struck me about it is the f16 is a magnificent piece of aircraft. Its unbelievable. When you put the f16 next to the f22. F16 feels like a two seater like cessna, like a propeller plane. This is whole new generation of flying, isnt it . It is. Fifth generation fighter. I never through that. We focused on the a10 doing airtoground. Tremendous capability to bear. Very short sighted that we stop the production line at 187 when we knew the capability was needing at least 380 in order make sure that we can have air peter anywhere we need to anywhere in the world. Not just airtoair fighting but airtoground the stealth capability and the sensors. Has there been a few little problems with it though. We have lost some people in it. Things that have those sort of been worked out . I think there might have been a design detect or some little problem be with it that was actually catastrophic. Yes, they were having issues with the oxygen system that did take a while to figure out it has been fixed and full up now in the fight. Martha, thank you for joining us. Sure, thanks so much, greta. President obama vowing to run the most transparent in history. Apparently still in bucket list. Wait until you hear what his administration is doing to journalists now. First remember what fired New York Times editor Jill Abramson told us . All i can tell you until i was fired i spoke every day almost to our National Security team in washington and almost all of the reporters have said to me that there has never been a more difficult atmosphere in which to do the work that they do than now. And the the Washington Post putting out a story today the press pool reporters claiming the white house sometimes demands changes to press pool reports. Yes, press pool reports which are intended to be transparent coverage of the president s daily agenda. Joining us our Political Panel fortune nina easton the hill jaffery and betsy woodruff. Nina, whats going on here . This was a report in the the Washington Post. I thought the most significant thing about it was that the press is showing frustration at the white house. And this is turning the tide and just like jills remarks right there. But the specifics of their complaint over this particular thing, i thought, had very little grounding. I mean, pool reporters are the ones that go in and represent other reporters because they go into areas where not everybody can go. And a lot of what they were doing and very little was done, first of all, very minor adjustments in pool reports. 20,000 pool reports. Trying to figure out the line between private and public. Do you cover the first lady going to the gym . Do you you cover the name of an intern who fainted during something . These werent really egregious examples. The real egregious examples are the leak investigations by this administration because those are truly chilling. Alexandra . I think this is exceedingly rare that the White House Holds back pool reports and we have to remember that there is no real way to do it aside from the way that we have it done right nowsm the White House Correspondence Association which runs the pool reports doesnt have the resources to send these out to the 20,000 members that receive the white houses pool reports. So they are in a bit of a bind. Their hands are a little bit tied with respect to white house sort of prescreening these. And every indication we have is that they are just screening them or changing them for i dont know facts. To fix the misspelling, that kind of thing. I dont know that we have examples of the Obama Administration specifically going further than any Previous Administration to screen these. I think it might be, perhaps, a rosy characterization of the situation. We have had numerous people including the a. P. Bureau chief saying that this white house is worse though National Political reporters than multiple Previous Administrations. Also not just print reporters. Photographers in the d. C. Press corps have long complained that they dont have ache is says to the president. And the photos and images we get from him are prescreened, ones take by the president s official photographer. This is a white house that is hyperwith its image. We have had some shooting pool pictures. They cant be that hyperconcerned if they are they are not doing the very good job. Doing the best they can. I think its absolutely insane that the media does these press pool reports and turns them over to the white house to distribute them. Thats nuts. These media organizations have got a lot of money. Journalists are going to turn their reports over to the white house. They cant figure out thousand to distribute them themselves . Not just big publications 20,000 people receiving them. Figure it out. Why are they asking the white house to distribute the reports. Like the fox sent out to chicken coup. We have ways to figure it out. Instead of complaining about it, they should set something up. I think your point is very well taken that overall there has been an attempt to manipulate the press. The press looks weak giving the reports to the white house to like check before they go out. What in the world is going on there . That is the dumbest thing i have ever heard. The point is its a deviation. Previous administrations have been better on their. Handled this better. The fact that this press corps is so frustrated at the white house. I think they are scared. I think they should go to their bosses and demand their own Distribution Network so he they dont have the white house doing it anyway, im going to take the last word on that. Not going to have any friends in journalism after that anymore either. Thank you. Jesse matthews has been arrested. Breaking details in that arrest coming up next.
