That has caused about a two cents a gallon hike at gas stations according to aaa. A spokesperson says the blast and the shutdown of the golden eagle refinery in the east bay are squeezing the supply of gas. The cause of yesterdays explosion that injured four workers is still under investigation. Update now on that big water leak that flooded homes in the east bay. Crews in walnut creek drained one of three large pipes that delivers water to east bay customers in the sierra foothills. Theyre digging up the area so the aqueduct can be replaced. Replacement requires a big response. Breaks such as these are infrequent. They require all hands on deck response response. Thats why the crews are out here today. No one is without water service. East bay is trying to figure out the cause of the leak. A minor crash involving a chp officer caused a big backup on the bay bridge yesterday afternoon just about noon. The officer lost control of his bike as he was trying to pull over another motorcycle. He was able to lay the bike down and just has some bad bruises. Two eastbound lanes were closed during that cleanup. Another Highway Patrol officer pulled the other cyclist over. And wrote him another ticket the first officer was trying to give him. The Wells Fargo History Museum in San Francisco is back open today. It opened a little more than three weeks after a brazen heist. Gold nuggets worth around 10,000 were stolen after masked thieves crashed their suvs right through the glass doors of the museum. New displays containing more gold have replaced those stolen nuggets which have not been recovered. Theres extra security in place as well protecting the gold the fbi will not say exactly what it is. One suspect is in custody, another is still on the loose after a shooting last night that wounded two people at a san jose sports bar. The shooting took place in an area thats seen his share of violence lately. Bottles and glasses were still on the table at this sports bar this morning in san jose. On the floor, a puddle of blood, the manager was in the kitchen when the shooting started last night, just before 10 00. He called 911. When i got back i called again opinion. Police say two men were shot, the most seriously injured man is in critical but stable condition. One man was arrested and faces an assault with a Deadly Weapons charge. Police are still looking for one more suspect. The street is crazy. Reporter this is the fifth shooting incident in or around a vietnamese cafe restaurant or nightclub this year in san jose, and the third in the past week. The most recent was february 14th, about a mile away from the sports bar. A Security Guard for the club was shot and killed after a Liquor Store Theft next door. On february 11th about a half mile away from a sports bar, one man died on south capitol avenue. Our gang unit is aware of the recent violence thats been occurring at some of these cafe cafes. And they will go ahead and conduct followup investigation on them as well. Reporter police are speaking with witnesses as they try to track down that second suspect. A Santa Clara University student accused of stabbing his roommate made his First Court Appearance today. Abc 7 news was in santa clara countys superior court. Kim is accused of stabbing his roommate in the throat, neck and shoulder, the roommate managed to escape and is expected to recover. Police say kim slashed his own throat right before he was arrested. Hes being held without bail. Exceptionally high tides this morning. Today was the Third Straight day of king tides. Scientists keep an eye on these to predict coastal flood risks. Nearly 350,000 miles of roads are some of the things that are at risk in california because of rising sea levels. Medical center is scrambling to find out why 179 patients from october through january were exposed to a super bug that has a death rate as high as 50 . Its a very potent virulent organism that can cause death. Reporter staff at ucla say the virus was spread by two endoscopes used . A variety of procedures. Seven patients have tested positive so far. The outbreak may have been contributing factors in two deaths. Similar outbreaks have affected patients in recent years in seattle, pittsburgh and chicago. Ucla is claiming the scopes were cleaned properly, but that its now using a process that goes above and beyond the manufacturer and national standards. They cant find a breakdown in any of those cleaning procedures. Theres something going on here whether they have to change the procedures or not. And when she was two years old, she said my name is melissa. Reporter hes talking about his granddaughter now eight years old, her birth name was brody. Almost a year ago he shared with friends and staff that his third grandchild was transgender. Honda says melissa has been insistent, persistent and consistent about her gender identity. She agreed to allow her grandfather to talk about it. When a child who is different from other children has the courage to be who they are, then when you have a supportive system, they will come and rally around, and usually the parents are part of that.
