She looked under my kitchen sink. But then she was talking in her lapel. It wasnt in english. She just stood there. That was the first of several red flags. The home owner said she did not see an official city car outside and the badge did not look authentic. It was when the person ordered the family into the backyard. Aid son who was sick in bed and i did not want to bring him down. She insisted he come down and i protested and i thought this is really odd. The home owner had had enough and asked the suspect to leave her home which she did without a fight. Nothing was taken. This couple was lucky. Other cases have ended with things stolen. The home owner said the suspect was quite convincing and thats what makes it scary. She got to the core of my fear. And she didnt look like a really bad person. So i was, i was hesitant but i let her in the house. I realize my mistake now. Now investigators believe there could be someone else working with the suspect.
