The 49yearold left walking, and she didnt bring her cell phone or purse. Take a good look at this photo. She is described as 55, about 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a tan baseball cap, sunglasses, tan capri pants and a dark blue jacket. Today her family and friends combed gilroy going door to door many Christmas Hill park, looking for her. And her brother made this plea directly to his sister. Police in concord are investigating a headon crash that killed a woman and a baby girl. It happened about 11 00 last night on the kinne bridge overpass near willow glen road. Police say a suv and sedan slammed into each other. Five other people suffered major injuries. The woman died at the scene. She is believed to have been one of the drivers. The baby died a little later at the hospital. Neither has been identified. Police say theyre still trying to determine if drugs or alcohol might have played a role. And the search is on for two people seen leaving a burning Apartment Building in oakland last night after a powerful explosion there. Fire Officials Say the butane canister started the fire at an Apartment Building on east 17th street just before 11 00. That explosion shook the building so hard, it actually moved off its foundation. Witnesses say they saw the men who live in the unit then leave the scene. They appeared to have burn injuries. Police later checked local hospitals, but they have not located the two men. Firefighters did find an injured dog in the unit. It was treated and then taken to animal control. The Apartment Building has been condemned. The man accused of being the mastermind of the attack against the u. S. Consulate in benghazi pleaded not guilty in u. S. Federal court today. Its the first time anyone has faced charges in connection with the 2012 attack that took the lives of four americans, including ambassador and east bay native Chris Stevens. Nbc has more. Reporter Ahmed Abu Khatallah pleaded not guilty after being officially charged with providing support to terrorists in relation to the attacks in benghazi. Though one they expect additional charges to come in the days ahead. Khatallah was captured at a beach resort on the outskirts of benghazi in an operation carried out on june 15th by u. S. Special forces with assistance from the fbi. Officials say he was transported on a navy ship to the United States where he was questioned by a specialized intelligence team. Of president obama gave the go ahead for the secret mission. And at the time of the capture, said the arrest sends a message. That when americans are attacked, no matter how long it takes, we will find those responsible, and we will bring them to justice. The purpose, according to their website for the dark march is to increase lesbian visibility and activism. Its its own event, as the 44th annual lgbt pride celebration and parade hits San Francisco. I did speak with one woman who is visiting here from australia. She says this is her first San Francisco pride weekend. Its bigger than i thought it was going to be in some ways, but its fantastic. Its wonderful to see, you know, the whole lgbt community, the straight allies, everyone is out. Everyone is having a great time. Its exactly what we would want. You see, about 80 years ago, people used to put these in bars and wager on to the result. When you see the machines, and you know how they work, you kind of go well what else could it be . Reporter some of the first pinball machines had similar features to modern day machines like a ball shooter and bumpers. This are no flippers on the side or anything to control it with. So the city said it was gambling and banned it. A game of chance rather than skill, this machine here was confiscated by Oakland Police in the 1930s. Instead of being destroyed, it was brought to alameda and given to alameda policemen as a gift i presume. Reporter many of them with the original signage asking players to refrain from gambling. And years later, a major change to the game. In 1947, gottlieb came up with this concept of a flipper. And they didnt know exactly how to do it. So they put six of them on. The ban was rarely enforced and forgotten about over the years until recently. Councilmembers discovered the pinball ban as they pushed to outlaw internet sweepstakes gambling in the city. The city council will address the old and new gambling next tuesday. Pinball fans say its about time. There is a lot of old laws on the books that, you know, need to be removed. So theyve come across it. I guess its time to remove it. Bring back pinball. Shiess hopes the attention to a lifted ban will bring more attention to fans and pinball machines to the museum.
