Election . Well talk about it with trump advisor and former new york city mayor Rudy Giuliani in just a moment. And later, Lindsey Vaughn at home going home 80mileanhour straight down hill. She hasnt always been comfortable with the stardom that comes with being in the best in the world. Having your personal life and what you look like and your appearance and all of that be judged on a regular basis, it was a big change. Well spend sometime with lindsey and harry smith a bit later. Lets begin this morning with the race for the white house and another busy weekend already. Donald trump at a rally on saturday, warning the election is going to be in his words, rigged, while a new round of Hillary Clinton emails are released by wiki leaks. Were in washington this morning, covered it all. Hi, good morning. And this morning aurld, donald trump apparently adding snl to that category of rigged media, an argument that hes delivering about election day, that his opponents, even some republicans, argue is dangerous to democracy. Wn republican hindu coalition. Im a big fan of hindu and india. Donald trump lighting a good luck candle. But his more inflammatory moments came hours earlier. Rigged, rigged, rigged, rigged. Trumps latest line, perhaps laying the groundwork for a potential loss. House Speaker Paul Ryan immediately pushing back, quote, our democracy relies on confident in Election Results and the speaker is fully confident the states will carry out this election with integrity. Trumps opponents, blastic him for trying to undermine the election. Now that he thinks hes going to lose, hes going around and saying the whole things rigged. The guys just a bully. Another attack, trump without evidence, accusing clinton of being on drugs at the last debate. She was all pumped up at the beginning. I think we should take a drug test. Anyway, im willing to do it. All of it, as yet another woman comes forward, accusing trump of kissing her without permission in the late 90s, an allegation nbc news has not independently verified and one Trumps Campaign calls a bogus claim, adding anyone covering this story should be embarrassed. Trumps tried to pivot away from his own controversy by pointing to bill clintons accuseers. Now hacked emails released show Hillary Clintons campaign moving to gather information to try and disprove wuneta broadwalk after she tweeted earlier this year about her accusation the former president raped her in the 70s, an allegation bill clinton has denied. The stolen emails, which the Clinton Campaign hasnt authenticated, give new insight into how the campaign prepared for something it didnt address publicly until recently when trump brought broderick back into the spotlight. Also in the hacked emails, the purported full transcripts of speeches Hillary Clinton delivered to goldman sacks, the speeches, remember, that Bernie Sanders wanted her to release back during the primaries. These transcripts show clintons relationships with big bank execs and her both candidates overnight getting the snl treatment. Take a look, alic baldwin putting on his donald trump shoes, along withicate mckinnen as Hillary Clinton. But at least one viewer wasnt a fan. This morning, trump himself responding on twitter. Quote, watch saturday night live hit job on me. Time to retire the boring and unfunny joe. Portrayal stinks. Media rigging election. Heres the thing, we know one thing for sure, snl will continue to hit both candidates all the way through november 8. Donald trump up early tweeting about snl. Thanks so much. Lets bring in one of Donald Trumps advisor, ruly giuliani. Lets pick up there on the charge of the election being rigged. He said snl is part of it, but hes used it in terms of conspiracy, theres something broader going on and working against him here. A sitting United States senator also saying this week that the process is rigged. I want to be specific about how its being rigged. I think theres a misunderstanding. Paul ryan thinks he means the elections at the polling places are rigged. Hes not saying that. There may be a few incidents of that. Philadelphia is an example, chicago, but thats not the real problem. What hes really talking about is now 80 to 85 of the media is against him. You look at the new york times. I read the times every day, i dont know why, but i read it every day. First three stories, donald trump was bad in schools, donald trump had a business failure, donald trump did this, that. The wiki leaks thing has taken by far a substory to this 8 or 9 women, none of whom have substantiation and two of them have been completely rebutted. So i think what he feels is the establishment is against him, and theyre rigging the election against him, not cheating at the polling place, but youve got the times, the washington post, most of the major newspapers, most of the networks. But his supporters arent necessarily making that distinction. I want to make you something a boston globe piece, talking about his supporters in ohio. He says, if hes shes in office, talking about Hillary Clinton, i hope we can start a cue. She should be in prison or shot. Thats how i feel about it. Well have a revolution and take them out of office if thats what it takes. When he talks in broad terms about the election being rigged, something be taken away from him unfairly, his supporters arent hearing the way youre describing it. He always makes it clear hes talking about the reporters. Hes never talked about cheating at the polling place. And second a letter like that, i could give you 20 sent to trump headquarters from Hillary Clintons people or his people that say crazy things. Youve got millions of people, each side has a cup offal of coops. Will you approve of and support the outcome of this election. Of course, unless, my god, there really is evidence of cheating. But i dont expect the election will process to be rigged, meaning the election to be rigged. But if it is, well contest it. That has happened. But what i do think is very, very unfair is the Media Coverage of the election in which anything said about donald trump goes right to the front. You stay on for 5 days, six days, and Hillary Clinton says horrible things about catholics, evangelicals, she sayser one thing. Weve covered all those. Respectfully, alley jackson just did an entire section on the wiki leaks. And by the way, theyre available to the government. Anybody can read them. But people dont unless its pushed on them. And if you look at the new york times, hes up here. Shes down here. You said just a minute ago of the nine women who have come forward and accused mr. Trump. Yes. The ninth one im not really aware of. Have you read the accounts of these women . Did you the first hand account . Im not his lawyer in the case, but i have seen the rebuttal. Did you read the accounts from the women . Is that the woman on the plane. The woman on the plane is one of them. She was the first one. There was a witness who says its not true. Okay. Well youre a prosecutor. Would you take the witness who said 30 years or ago, whatever it was, was on the plane, a guy who says he remembers because he a has a photographic memory, would that be sufficient as a prosecutor . Well, its one on one and she also said that she was able to lift the arm rest. And in those days, the arm rests in first class didnt lift. Its also rather bazaar that you could do that for 15 minutes, thats a long time in first class. You know what first class is like and in those days, first class was even more filled with flight attendants. The allegation on its face is strange. Youre asking one thing, we should point out the head of the airline at that time, said actually the arm rests didnt go up and down. I cant believe were talking about the specifics of 1970s armrists, but he said they did. But did you find any of these stories compelling . I find that they all fit a pattern and i find they all come 27 days before an election. And i know how the clintons conduct an election, and they conduct an election about as dirty as it gets. And i find it impossible that people remember 30 years ago or 20 years ago and come forward now, right at the very end too, push these things. Mr. Mayor, what incentive would 9 women have to come forward to expose one of the worst moments of their lives to the public. At least one is represented by Gloria Aldridge so her incentive is to get money. So you think they want money and fame . You should also put on the relative of the woman who says this woman has said wonderful things about donald trump, what a terrific guy he is, and then she wouldnt come to his restaurant and turned on him completely. So bottom line, you dont believe any of the accounts. Ive known donald trump for 20 years. Ive been almost every situation you can imagine. Ive never seen donald trump act toward women other than as a gentlemen, including my wife and my daughters and, in fact, hes courtly in the way he acts toward women. So i find these hard to believe. Does he does he talk like a guy sometimes when youre hanging around and you tell jokes and stuff like that . Sure. But does he act like a gentlemen . Absolutely. So all 9 of these women are lyingm. I dont know if theyre lying. I trust i dont know them. So how would i know . I trust him. Hes my friend. He told me theyre not true. Ive never seen kbing his conduct, and ive known him a lot longer than they do. And i can the circumstance of it, 27 days before an election, when shes getting bombarded and needs something to save her because the stuff she says in those emails is disqualifying from president of the United States. Theres a a public hillary and a private hillary. How about she doesnt know that the c on a confidential document means confidential. She shouldnt have been secretary of state if she didnt know that. Hillary clinton couldnt pass a background check to get a government job because she was extremely careless in handling classified information. And shes trying to bury that. Youre suggesting these women have been directed by the Clinton Campaign, put forward by the Clinton Campaign through the media to tell their stories to hurt donald trump. They havent come on their own to these stories . Im saying more than that. Ive been a trial lawyer for a good deal, and an investigator. I dont believe in convinces. 27 days before an election, people are talking about things that happened 30 years ago, one of which was totally absurd, to do that on an airplane 30 years ago for 15 minutes without somebody saying something or doing something, a lot of the rest are absurd. The woman whose relative rebuts what she says, there are others, by the way, who rebut some of these claims. And second, being in a maybe a little different position position than most people, knowing the man and what hes like. Hes very, very courtly and gentlemanly toward women. You know people who make these claims dont come forward to get rich and famous. These are difficult things to say publicly. What would be the incentive . As a prosecutor, i found you have to apply a 50 50 test here. The whole idea that all victims should be believed, which she didnt apply to her husband, she elected not to believe those victims. But the idea that every victim to be believed, thats nonsense. Lets flip that the around. Why do you believe those victims of bill clinton and not invictims of donald trump . I dont necessarily believe them or not believe them. The point about that is she went and attacked them and shes a feminist. Hillary clinton is on record saying women should be believed, almost no matter what they say. All of a sudden women come along and say bill clinton raped me, molested me, took advantage of me, and she goes and attacks them. That means she is what she says in the wiki leaks. Shes a phony. I dont agree with Hillary Clinton. I dont agree that every victim should be believed. I had a lot of victims that didnt tell the truth when yafs prosecutor. How do you make that distinction, between what should be believed and what shouldnt . Look for corroboration. Does she have corroboration . Does he. Many of these victims do. Contemporaneous. Thats not corroboration. Eyewitnesses, people who remember it. Anybody can say anything to anybody. People can say, actually, thats all hearsay. Thats not even admissible in a trial. Well, i appreciate your time. Weve gone long. Thank you sflooefrp and i really wish that Chris Wallace spent three minutes of Hillary Clintons stuff, three minutes of donalds stuff, and all the rest of it on taxes, isis, and the real issues because hillarys passed and donalds past isnt what affects us next year when our taxes go up and our taxes go down. Mr. Mayor, thank you for your time this morning. Other news this morning, a horrific accident overnight in san diego after a truck drove up the side of a bridge, crashing into dozens of people below. We is it ilhave rain falling across parts of the bay area, especially across the Santa Cruz Mountains where it has been raining all night long and we have seen anywhere from one to three inches of rain fall just in the past 12 hours alone. So, the rain continues to fall here across the Santa Cruz Mountains and the futurecast shows that well see another round of heavy rain through 9 00 this morning and that will last until 1 00 or 2 00 and then well start to clear out and then another round moves in for tonight. Another unsettled night with temperatures in the 60s. Thank you very much. Stick around, if you will, for the highs and lows of the week, including the man in the red sweater, seven days in the life of ken bone as we enter the bone zone. Our first low goes to jeopardy host alex trabec, we fans of the show have grown accustomed over the years to trabecs ooh, sorry, condescension. This week, he took it to a new level. During that part of the show when he visits the podium, trabec had thoughts about one players social life. I think its very fun. Its called 93rd core hip hop. 93rd core hip hop. Its people who identify as 93rdy rapping about the things they love, video games, science fiction, having a hard time meeting remote partners, you know. Its really catchy and fun. Turns out that feisty old bridge was not ready to go. As the charges exploded, the bridge stayed right where it was. It then took the demolition crew five hours to pull the sucker down with the help of a crane. They need stronger dynamite. Well end with our final high, bob dylan won the 2016 nobel prize for literature. Dillon was considered a long shot to win, not even a serious candidate by many because a musician had never won the award. But the nobel people gave him the prize for a lifetime of work, saying hes a great poet in the englishspeaking tradition. Hes the First American to win since 1983.
