I will show you that in the extended forecast coming up. Five people are hurt in an Early Morning crash. A car lost control and went off the roadways. Allie rasmus is on the scene. This is seminary and outlook, it is closed to traffic and it will remain closed for the next two to three hours. Here is why. Right behind us is the Mills College campus. Beyond that chain linked fence in the ravine is a wreckage of a violent car crash and you can see, a white toyota corolla. And the roof is gone and the car looks like it was sliced in half. Five people were traveling southbound on seminary heading downhill just after two this morning when the driver of the car lost control and plowed through the fence on the ravine on the south end of the College Campus. Five people inside, three men and two women were all seriously injured. Now emergency crews were able to pull the occupants out and take them to the hospital. All five people are now in critcal condition. All of the people in the car are adults and investigators tell us they dont believe the female passengers are Mills College students. They are not sure what caused the crash. They dont know if alcohol was a factor but speed might virginia played a role in the crash. The car was heading downhill on seminary when the car lost control. An investigation is underway after a San Jose Police officer shoots a young stolen car suspect. It happened at 11 40 last night. They spotted a stolen vehicle in east san jose. Officers tried to box the car in on mccrory avenue and they started ramming the patrol cars. One of the officers discharged her firearm and struck the suspect at least one time. The suspect was taken to the hospital where he is treated for his injuries. Passenger in the car was also taken into custody. Two suspects are juveniles. Both officers who shot the suspect and her partner are on administrative need. They are investigating a shooting sometime before 90 00 last night on the 1,000 block of stanton avenue. We dont know the victims condition and they plan on releasing more information tomorrow. On Line Campaign is underway to help the family of a san jose man killed in a road rage incident. So far, it has raked 20,000. His wife is still struggling with his death. They call him the love of her life. His wife is trying to cope with his loss and raise their two young sons by herself. You can see there, the car is right there as you can see. Still sitting in the area. Just off the roadway through the fence. We believe they pulled it up from the ravine a bit ago. This is near outlook avenues. They expect the area to be shut down for another two to three hours. It happened at 2 15 when the driver lost control and went through the fence. The victims are three men and two women. They dont believe they are mill students and they believe speed may have been a factor. We will have a live report from the crash scene coming up at 8 00 a. M. New this morning, an investigation is underway into a Police Shooting at san jose. Officers say they stole a car in east san jose. They tried to stop the vehicle on story road and then the driver started to ram the patrol cars. An officer who said she feared for her life opened fire. The suspect was hit at least once. A female passenger was also arrested. They have not released the ages of the suspects and do describe them as juveniles. As part of standard procedure, the officer who shot the suspect and her partner are on administrative leave. This is the second officerinvolved shooting in less than 24 hours. They are looking into a shooting early yesterday morning at a 711 in san leandro. He shot a robbery suspect after he reached into his waistband. The other suspect drove off and was tracked down in hayward after crashing into a barrier. Both suspects are hurt and expected to survive. The suspect is a par real lee. It happened at 11 00 last night at 90th avenue and international boulevard. They were able to take themselves to the hospital. We dont know their conditions this morn ago it is not clear what led up to the shooting. Sacramento police said one person is dead after gunman opened fire at a babys birthday party. A man in his 20s died at the scene. They say he is a suspect the gang member. Six other people including a 7yearold child were hurt. Officers say the shooters walked up and opened fire and drove off. They say the victim and the gunman are rival gang members. The search is underway right now at a lake east of San Francisco for speed boat that capsized. The state Department Said the vessel has been recovered after overturning saturday afternoon on follow some lake. The people on board have not been found. We could tell it was not happy and very frightened. The chp said dogs ending up on hays is a on highways is a weekly occurrence. He said he hopes this encourages people to adopt a dog from a shelter. They are trying to save an east bay hospital from being shut down. They held a meeting at the medical officer in san pablo. They rejected a partial team to keep the center open. They handle 40,000 Emergency Care case as year. Hospital workers say they serve a lot of people who otherwise cant afford medical care. We dont turn them away. Reporter the southbound lane is closed. You can see investigators wrapping up into the fatal wreck. About 15 minutes ago, a tow truck pulled the wreckage out of the ravine. A car thats headed southbound into the Mills College campus into a ravine. This is video of the wrecked car. You can see from it the severity of this crash. Police say there were five adults in this toyota corolla. Three men and one woman and in an update from investigators, we got 30 minutes ailing; one of the men died from his injuries at the hospital. The car lost control, crashed into a fence down a ravine where Emergency Responders say the car hit two trees head on. Firefighter paramedics used the jaws of life to pull four people out of that car. The battalion chief say they were in bad shape and taken to the hospital in critical condition. One of the four initially taken to the hospital did die at the hospital later on this morning. A fifth person according to police, a woman, who may have been the driver was located at 55th and mac arthur. Blocks away from the crash site. The Police Investigators tell us they look into whether the woman was a driver and why and how she ended up nearly 3 blocks away from the crash and whether or not she fled the scene. The Police Investigator also said she was very seriously injured and had several broken bones. Weve spoken to several people who lived nearby who say this intersection is notorious for speeding and serious crashes. Its common. Youll find People Racing down the hill and hear the break squeal and a light pole out. This is Mills College, their fence is knocked out probably four or five times a year. All of the people in the car are adults. Investigators tell us they dont believe the women are Mills College students. Police arent sure what caughted the crash. They say its too early to determine whether alcohol was a factor but they say its likely that speeds did play a role in this crash, especially since the car was heading south on seminarrow which is kind of a downhill slope.
