Should be a memorable week for the yankees at yankee stadium, with derek jeter playing his last game in pinstripes there on thursday. The captain was involved in a fun turn of events over the weekend. A routine foul ball down the third baseline, and the third baseman throws it into the stands. The fan makes a nice grab with the baby, gets his picture taken. Got a derek jeter foul ball, hes going to retire, and all of that. He says let me show that to my daughter, who fires the ball. Shes got a great arm. She throws it on the field, and the ball boy goes and gets it, and gives it back to dad who has a great story to tell. All is well. Dont throw that back on the field again, kid. Kind of made an executive decision to show that, instead of hearing jim harbaugh talk more about the 49ers. That video just made my night. Thats priceless. Thats pretty cool. Thats the sporting life.
