It could be among the deadliest in the civil war. It took place in a rebel section of northwestern syria. A warning video of the aftermath is disturbing. But it will be important evidence as investigators try to confirm whether chemical weapons were used. Activists say 58 people were killed and dozens wounded. They blame the Syrian Government or russian jets. Holly williams is in istanbul, turkey. Good morning. Reporter good morning. Were still working to independently confirm whether this was a chemical attack. But the videos emerging from syria today suggest some kind of chemical agent was used against civilians, including children. We are not airing some of the most disturbing videos. But this one, apparently from the immediate aftermath appeared to show those who were injured and killed without any visible wounds. Those still alive appear to be having problems where doctors treat patients. A dock shows his patients pupils are not responding to light. All of that according to a chemical when expert and cbs contributor is consistent with epossible sure to a nerve agent. In the province, its a stronghold for Syrian Rebels and been pounded by Syrian Regime and russian air strikes but at this point we cant confirm who carried out this attack. In august 2013 a rebel held area close to the syrian capital damascus was hit by rockets containing sirin nerve agent. Hundreds of people are thought to have died in that attack. The u. S. An important donor to president Trumps Campaign reportedly worked to create a private line of communication between mr. Trump and russian president Vladimir Putin. The fbi declined to comment on this last night on whether its investigating this matter. Thats more than enough to support a democratic filibuster to block the nomination. Republican leaders are ready to change senate rules and use the socalled Nuclear Option to make sure gorsuch is confirmed. Reporter good morning. Democrats are saying that republicans are about to forever change long Standing Senate rules. But it was democrats who voted back in 2013 to end filibusters for Lower Court Judges and cabinet level appointees, so republicans are saying their protest now dont mean a whole lot. Hamilton is rolling over in his grave. Reporter frustrated by their democratic colleagues republicans on the Judiciary Committee say they will not allow a filibuster on the nomination of judge neal gorsuch. Theres never been a successful partisan filibuster of a Supreme Court nominee. And we will not start this week. Reporter it takes 60 votes to stop a filibuster and end debate on a foam nation. 52 votes in the Senate Republicans have fallen short of securing support from eight democrats, now said they will trigger the Nuclear Option. It will do away with filibusters for Supreme Court nominees. Back in february President Trump said he would support the break in precedent. We end up with gridlock i would say if you can, go nuclear. I have fulfilled by constitutional duty. Reporter democrats say President Trump shouldnt be filling the vacancy. The shooting started at about 3 30, near 11th and trials street just across from saint malkey school. Two men died yesterday, third victim died overnight. The Washington Post reports attorney general Jeff Sessions ordered a sweeping Justice Department review of reform agreements with troubled police forces. He served the community for more than 30 years as both an officer and as a defense attorney and prosecutor. Police release this video overnight. Officers believe it shows the suspects vehicle leaving the scene. We go to baytown where the shooting happened. Reporter good morning. This is the spot where greenwood would pull up and park every morning. Its also the spot where a gunman killed him. Police are now looking for a white or hispanic male about six feet tall with short hair. The Houston Chronicle is reporting that greenwood emailed officials and said he felt threatened by a man he targeted in a corruption investigation. At this point they are not sure if the case is related to this deadly shooting. He was on the ground. And then i saw the cars coming very quickly. The deputies were coming. Reporter the chief deputy was gunned down shortly after arriving for work monday morning at the Harris County building in baytown just outside of houston. Police release this Surveillance Video showing a suspect version a small dark colored car. Greenwood was airlifted to the local hospital where he died. Any death is tragic but even more tragic when somebody thats sworn to protect the public has their life shortened. Reporter officers held a prayer circle in true bite to greenwood yards from where he was killed. I cant imagine anybody wanting to shoot him. Reporter jim works in the Harris County district attorneys office. He worked in greenwood in multiple departments over the years. From everything it appears it was an assassination. It doesnt feel it was taran come to shooting. Reporter investigators say the motive is still unclear. As far as whether or not he was specifically targeted, or because of the uniform he was wearing or because of the place he pulled up to in the morning, we just dont know that right now. First thing i thought about was his family and his wife and his kids. Reporter brian worked with Clint Greenwood both as a defense attorney and as a prosecutor. They even opened up a law practice together. Everybody talks about what a great Law Enforcement officer he was. What a prosecutor he was. And more than that he was a great family man. He was just a wonderful human being. Reporter theres a 65,000 reward that leads to information that may lead to an arrest and charges. 57yearold greenwood leaves behind a wife and four children. All due to a phenomenon investigators call flame jetting. Burn prevention advocates say to understand it watch what appears to have happened to the blonde woman here at a bar in moscow. As a bar tender poured cal into flaming drinks. The woman was burned by the blast of flames but survived. How does Something Like that happen . Officials began investigating flame jetting convenience in 2010. The very first test we did we had flame jet over 10 feet long. Reporter like in this test similar to aubrey clarks experience. Here using a mannequin. All of a sudden, youll see the jet encompass the victim. Thats it. Reporter in slow motion you can see how vapors coming out of a container can ignite forcing flaming liquid to jet out several feet. She relaunched her brand after filing for bankruptcy. Tell us about relaunching. Relaunching has been very exciting. I did find out three years ago were ahead of the pack. You cant be one person standing out there alone you need a critical amass to effect change. So i put that company through bankruptcy, pulled all my business out of wholesale channel out of Department Stores and relaunched it as a direct to consumer business and thats really the next generation of Luxury Brands and how they are going to be built. Now were on fire. On fire. It didnt work out the first time you said there was a lot of people saying yeah she failed. That only motivated. It totally motivated me because i believed in my vision. I just knew it was the execution of it. I didnt execute it right the first time around. The idea was right but the execution was wrong. You cant be put off by your failures. You have to dust yourself off and do it again. You say women shop differently now. Theres no women under 50 in the department store. Thats true. So whats happening the fashion industry is being disrupted like the Film Industry went through several years ago. We first saw it with music, Music Industry went through it. We saw it with the Film Industry. Weve seen a disruption in transportation with uber. Does that mean all the big name shoe manufacturers have to ship online or not survive . Yes, it does. So basically the way most Luxury Brands look at their business its about 10 their business. Thats not how next generation Luxury Brands will be built. It should be 90 of your business should be online because nobody goes into Department Stores any more. Nobody under 50 goes in. Everybody is shopping online because its a better experience. You have better service. You have it delivered to your home. You buy great quality products and then what ive done by going direct to consumer, weve been able to reduce our retail price and sell the same quality of shoes as i did when i was at jimmy choo. They are still pricey. It costs me a lot to make them. They are made in italy. They are very cute. They are still a Little Pricey and you say they never go on sale except for today. Except for today.
