The folks from daca should know, the democrats are not ones that arent going to make a deal. However, the white house rejected a compromised deal last week. On sunday evening, the department of Homeland Security issued a guidance that daca policy would operate on the rules it had before the order was rescinded in october due to an appeal but a jumg if in california. The same judge ruled that lawsuits against the daca order can prove to seek discrimination on President Trumps past comments about latinos. President trump tweeted daca is reasonable dead because the democrats dont really want it. They just want to talk and take desperately needed money away from our military. I do not believe daca is dead, but what i would say is from my perspective, of course, from the department of Homeland Security, its not a daca deal. Its an immigration deal. We must ensure we dont end up here again, ensure these temporary populations are not encouraged to take the journey to get here, but when they do get here, we are able to quickly remove them so we dont end up with daca again. Last night the president was asked about his had quote about people from expletive countries had an impact on the immigration deal. Did you see what various senators said about my comments . They werent made. No, no, im not a racist. I am the least racist person you have ever interviewed. That i can tell you. But trumps comments are in opposition to what other participants at the meeting and those they spoke to from the beginning and only what his allies have changed their stories to. The president and all those attending the meeting know what i said and how i feel. Ive always believed in america is an idea not defined by its people but by its ideals. Will also on friday, republican senator tim scott told the Charleston Post Courier that graham told him the comments as reported in the po media were basically accurate. And republican jeff flake tweeted that the comments were made to him directly following the meeting. However, two republicans in the meeting, david purdue and tom cotton issued this comment, quote, we do not recall the president saying these comments specifically, but what he did call out was balance in our immigration system. Thursday, we had a meeting and coming out of that meeting we had a gross misrepresentation of what happened in that meeting. But its not the first time weve had a gross misrepresentation by that individual . Are you saying the president did not use the word thats been so widely reported . Officials in hawaii are blaming human error after an Emergency Alert was mistakenly sent out saturday morning. The alert was sent at 8 07 a. M. Local time with the message this is not a drill. It took 38 minutes for a correction to be sent out, despite officials saying they knew within minutes that there was month threat. At a press conference, hawaiis governor said a single individual sent out the alert by mistake. It was a procedure that occurs at the change of shift where they go through to make sure that the system is working. And an employee pushed the wrong butt withon.
