A gender gap and gender wars. A lot of data gaps point to the big gulf between the sexes on politics, policy and business. The top line staff that caught my attention this morning is a wide gender gap in the parties. You ask women which party they support, by more than 20 percentage points, they back democrats. Men by wore than 20 points are in favor of the republicans. It is in part and parcel driven by the number of women running for the senate this year. Also in business, the New York Times had a fascinating graphic listening to the number of men impacted by the me too movement who lost their job. Most of them have been replaced by other men. Finally, looking at specific policy issues, most women on gun control favor more regulation. Most men favor less. If you ask about social media, women say its more important for those to be safe spaces. Many men say its more important for people to be able to speak freely. Lets hone in on the party that is likely to see the most support for female voters. Do you get a sense that there is a party trying to indicator to these voters in the sense that theyre adopting policies more oriented to women voters . I think most parties would say women are a priority, but where the numbers show are in the polling data.
