Not so much here but some spots the current is so strong it can sweep you away. Further down the parkway, footage from yesterday, you can see water much higher, families forced to use canoes to get back and forth or wade through water that is not very clean. Many have gone through this before and that could be a reason mandatory evacuations are not enough to get them to vacate their property. There are people that live here, most of their lives. They have high temperatures so we dont get to see them until this morning. There they are, at this point they are not the clouds that are going to rain on us. Going. On the back side of hermine we have dry air, getting actually pulled in. Well tap into it tomorrow, will limit in fact i think almost shut off rain chances tomorrow and then well begin to increase that a little through the middle part of the week. There you see on futurecast showers and storms developing and then by tomorrow were going to continue to see much lower rain chances, 10 to 20 by tomorrow afternoon. Today still looking at pretty good showers and storms developing. By 2 doc, 3 00 we ben down to the south. By the time we get to tonight that northeast flow will begin to pull that dry air and were done but at that point too late to really get dry air today here. So rain chances going down but beginning tomorrow. The rest of the tropics still not even at the peak, a couple of weeks from that but 30 chance of this very benign looking wave though its impacting the antilles with showers and storms moving towards the west. The form of wind shear and hopefully that will keep it at bay but right now looks like a 30 chance of that developing. 83 water temperature. Thats also changed.
