>> they brought back -- rob jackson is the pick from last year. they liked trent shelton but they've got the five wide receivers. marco mitchell made that move. eddie williams is a draft pick. no surprises. the surprise is that chase daniel is not there. >> that's the amazing thing because they've been talking about chase daniel in this town for the last month and a half. he really made some strides in the preseason. >> all five ten of them. >> letting new orleans get him, were you surprised i guess so. with all due respect to chase daniel, he really was 5'9". >> he's shorter than i. >> he didn't look like an n.f.l. quarterback. they loved him and zorn liked him but he was certainly a project. they signed on woods from kentucky. if they need a quarterback, they have one on their practice squad. >> let's talk about andre woods. two years ago, he had a down senior year as a great junior year. is this the type of guy you could actually see being called up if something happens to jason campbell? he doesn't know the system at all. >> he doesn't. but really and truly, they don't need three quarterbacks. when is the last time they needed three quarterbacks. you have to go back to 1994 to find the time when the redskins -- antawn randel el can finish it up. if they get to three, they're in trouble anyway. they kept an extra lineman and gave marcus mason a shot. one of those two the extra lineman or extra runningback made the team because they decided to go with two quarterbacks. other teams are doing it. i think it's a risk worth taking. >> a new trend. new england has done it and giants. budget cults are hitting everybody -- cuts are hitting. everybody is doing it. >> happy to see this guy stick around? >> happy to see the prep kid make it. i think he'll get carries early in short yardage situations. he's got great vision. brian mitchell talked about this all last year during the preseason. he's got better vision than any runningback on the team and he gets three when there's nothing there. he gets six if there's two to three there. i think he'll get opportunities early. here's the thing, though. just because marcus mason made it this week doesn't mean he makes the roster next week. if they lost a quarterback next week, then marcus mason could be gone a week from now but he's made it for the time being. >> good for marcus mason. stick around, kevin. we'll do some other highlights. when we come back, we're talking about the nats trying to break a losing streak of epic proportions. eight is enough. highlights coming back. it's neveroo early to art saving up for christmas. get your christmas club card and use it... to start saving up now... and we'll add a 3% bonus to your rd -- just in time to shop for christmas! yes, the christmas bonus is back! one more way to shop your way, only at kmart and sears. welcome back, everybody. today the nats tried to do something they hadn't done since august 27. win a game. it didn't look good when the nats trailed by 2 in the bottom of the 8th with two outs butes that' where we begin with the pinch hitter mike morse. one run will score. two runs will score. issue on the base pads. but then tied up going to the 9th but the marins would be up 4-3 with nobody out and one on for ryan zimmerman from virginia beach. and there it goes. ryan zimmerman walk off my friend. your 28h home run of the year. that eight-game losing streak is history. nats win 5-4. how about demo taking on the rangers. two on, two out. that's the liner. marlin bird, the former nat, couldn't quite get it. that's going to go all the way to the wall. tonight's geico 15 minutes of fame, we go to flushing meadows. kim cljisters taking on venus williams. she wins in three stets and moves on to the quarter -- sets and moves on to the quarter finals. she earns our 15 minutes of fame. tiger woods at the deutch ya bank tournament. reaction says hey, i just won the masters because he just can't putt anymore. what's going on with tiger?
