Dangerous winter weather hits Northeast
A major storm system started in the South and then brought heavy snow and ice to the Northeast.Ronald W. Erdrich/Reporter-News
A New Year's storm that brought very heavy snow and ice from Texas to the Midwest brought more winter weather to the Northeast.
The storm brought over a foot of snow to west Texas and up to 10 inches of snow just outside Oklahoma City. A band of 5 to 7 inches of snow locally also went through parts of Kansas.
