Neighbors in this allamerican suburb say they rarely saw the children outside. Authorities say when one of the teenagers made her way outside, they called authorities and they moved in. The grim discovery was made inside this home, where police say 13 siblings were held captive by their parents, some shackled to beds with chains and padlocks, said to be dirty and starving, in dungeonlike conditions. David and Louise Turpin were arrested after their 17yearold daughter escaped from the home and called 911. Who knew this was going on . If we had known, we would have turned this in a lot sooner. Reporter when the Sheriffs Department entered the home, they described foul smelling surroundings and what they thought were a dozen children inside. Investigators now say seven of the victims are the turpins adult children, ranging in age from 18 to 29. First thought to be kids because they were so malnourismalnouris. It oohs heas heartbreaking. Reporter on facebook, the turpins look like a typical family. David turpin worked as an engineer, earning 140,000 a year. He received state approval to run a private school from his home, where six children were enrolled this year. The couple often renewed their wedding vows with their children by their side. Save about a cup of that pasta water after its done cooking. Okay. For the lemons, i do the zest of four lemons and the juice of two. And melted half a stick of butter he it. You can do this in a slow cooker. What do you do then . Stab it a few times and put it in the slow cooker all day. That step is done. Its ready to rock. You make your sauce. I put one clove of garlic in here to flavor it a little. Add to it, cream cheese. You want to stir this . Yeah. And mozzarella cheese. This so good. Parmesan cheese.
