Will ‘outsider’ Sharmila impact Telangana politics?

Hyderabad, Feb 10 : The plans by former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s daughter Y.S. Sharmila to enter Telangana politics came as a surprise, leaving all major players in the state guessing on what impact it may have on their prospects in 2023 Assembly elections.
Sharmila, sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, is the first leader from Andhra Pradesh after Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N. Chandrababu Naidu to dabble in Telangana politics since its formation as a separate state in 2014.

The Telangana state that has been struggling due to less cash will see some rise. The state is all set to make at least Rs 150 crore by setting up 159 new liquor bars in Telangana.
For each application, the person has to pay a sum of Rs 1 Lakh as a deposit fee. This is a non-refundable amount that every applicant must pay in order to submit the form. The deadline to submit these forms was 8
th February. On the last day itself, around 5,311 applications were submitted. A total of 7,360 applications for setting up 159 bars were collected by the Government.

PM SVANidhi scheme: UP, M.P and Telangana tops in extending loans to street vendors

Street vendors who do business with pushcarts were the major beneficiaries of PM SVANidhi (Prime Minister Street Vendor’s Aatmanirbhar Nidhi) scheme, constituting nearly two-thirds of the loans availed.
On June 1 last year, the government launched PM SVANidhi scheme to provide affordable working capital loan to street vendors, who were adversely affected due to Covid-19 induced lockdown.
Launched by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, the scheme aimed at providing working capital loans of up to ₹10,000, which is repayable in monthly instalments in one year.
