Pipe Dream Brewing is a Veteran Owned brewery with West Coast inspired beer. They carry a wide selection of beers; sours, blondes, IPAs and everything in between. Their beers also have really fun names which always make me giggle such as Adult Nuggets IPA and What up, Beaches? IPA .
It has been so much fun to see the creations they have released over the past year; everything from Cinnamon Toast Crunch Stout, Pumpkin French Toast beer and, my personal favorite, Unicorn Poop Sour Ale. I am drawn to the beautiful can and hilarious art. And I also tried it and it was like tasting a rainbow!
Oelwein P.D. Issues Citations for Selling Tobacco To Minors
During a compliance check on Wednesday (May 12), local officers checked 7 Oelwein area businesses.

Three people were cited for providing tobacco to minors. They were identified as 35 year old Talal Sarwar JanJua of Waverly, 20 year old Lovdeep Singh Cheema of Oelwein, and a minor.

The checks are part of the Iowa I-PLEDGE Tobacco Enforcement and Training Program. The goal of this program is is to increase voluntary compliance with the state s tobacco, alternative nicotine, and vapor product laws, through education and enforcement.

When you think of having to get up at four in the morning and putting your team of horses together for the day, it is amazing. I don t know how they did it. Plow until noon, unhitch the horses, feed and water them. Then get your second team ready, plow until dark, unhitch, feed and water. Then you go to bed get up the next day at four and start all over again. They would plow until June then quit and start putting up hay for the cows and horses. Also known as Aurora Borealis, the Northern Lights are a phenomenon you really need to see at least once in your life. That might happen for you tonight, Wednesday, May 12.
It looks like the last time we had a moment to see the Northern Lights, it didn t happen. That was back in December of 2020. The weather had changed and then nothing. Tonight may be a different situation in Central New York according to Bill Kardas of WKTV. It seems a very sudden thing too that was just stumbled upon this afternoon and is due to some recent spikes in solar activity.
