The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has rewarded Sub Inspector Rana Ijaz, who had offloaded PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif from plane at the Lahore Airport, a private TV channel reported.
Sub-inspector Rana Ijaz has been awarded Rs10,000 and a certificate by the FIA Punjab Zone one Director Dr Rizwan. PML-N President and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif was reportedly not allowed to fly from the Lahore airport to the United Kingdom via Qatar on May 8 after the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) allegedly placed his name on “another list”, preventing him from leaving the country. Drama had unfolded on Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport when Shehbaz Sharif was stopped from leaving the country despite having court orders to go abroad for medical treatment.

The Supreme Court has issued notice to PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif in the Lahore High Court travel permit case.
The government has filed a petition against the high court’s decision to allow Shehbaz to travel abroad for medical treatment.
The court has summoned the case record and asked for details of when the petition was filed and when it was approved for hearing.
The attorney-general remarked said that they don’t have a problem with the court allowing someone to travel abroad but the way that the court proceedings occurred.

ISLAMABAD: The government has released so far funds amounting to Rs 707.783 million, during the current fiscal year, to execute around 15 aviation sector projects under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP 2020-21).
According to the official data as of May 21, an amount of Rs707.783 million has been released against the revised allocation of Rs 930.879 million for the timely and smooth execution of the projects. As per the initial PSDP allocation details, an amount of Rs 61.923 million had been earmarked for the construction of a double-storey ladies hostel andbarrack with the provision of a third storey along with mess, recreation hall and allied facilities at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore.

DUBAI, 22 days ago Dubai Airports added more choice and connectivity for its customers with the launch of Serene Air s inaugural flight from Lahore to Dubai on May 6. The airline will operate three flights a week on a 189-seater B737-800 aircraft between Lahore s Allama Iqbal International Airport and DXB Terminal 2. Pakistan emerged as the second most important country destination for Dubai in terms of passenger volumes in the first quarter of 2021 with nearly half a million passengers. -
